They now have more disposable income to do things while the prices are relatively low. When economics work, wages inch higher faster than inflation does, but they always chase after one another.

Given that supply and demand are an actual real phenomena in economics, they have drastically reduced the supply of a great many things in the US (housing, food, energy, etc) and kept the demand the same or nudged it higher. THIS causes the prices of those goods and services to go up proportionately. Remove them from the equation, and you'll see prices come down hard for a short while. You'll also see actual americans get hired, and indeed more jobs to fill than people to fill them (happened all through Trump 1.0), which allows for better bargaining for employees, ie raises in real wages and benefits. They now have more disposable income to do things while the prices are relatively low. When economics work, wages inch higher faster than inflation does, but they always chase after one another.
