My S22 Ultra has a different issue. The screen will either massively red shift, get ridiculously dim (can barely make out text in a pitch black room), and/or drop frames. I think it's caused by a loose screen connection internally, as if I lay it flat on a table and press on the screen or tap it on a table, it will usually temporarily fix it. Super frustrating because, like you, it wasnt dropped or damaged. It just started happening randomly while I was scrolling on Instagram
Did you ever figure out a solution? My s22 started this exact same issue aa yours about 2 days ago. I have to tap its side against a table or hard surface. It'll fix the issue until I screen lock and try to open the phone again. It'll either go very dark or really laggy and slow....

Should be a global law forcing manufacturers (apple, samsung, huawei...etc) to provide 5yrs of international warranty, not one. We are paying over $1000 for a piece of phone but we don't get a good service in return, manufacturers are greedy.
This happened to my S22 ultra today and I'm beyond devastated. I had plans to use this phone for a while so some months ago I used my savings to buy it from a fairly used store thinking I won't have to spend on anything phone-related again for some years at least. This is truly heartbreaking. Now I can't get a warranty and the screen repair charge has gone through the roof. Shouldn't have spent so much money on this phone. This is really devastating.
Yes. Just when you intially unlock the screen the green line can be seen for a couple of seconds. It happens each time you unlock the screen. Nothing thereafter and Works absolutely ok.

Don't want to buy a new phone and also don't want to pay for an expensive service center with Samsung.

Samsung recently offered a program in India to provide free screen replacements for select Galaxy smartphone users experiencing a "green line" issue on their displays, which was primarily caused by certain software updates; this program allowed eligible customers to get their screens replaced at no cost, provided their phone was within the specified age range and had no physical damage. Key points about the "green line" free screen replacement program: Affected devices: The program primarily targeted specific Galaxy S series and Note series phones, including the S20, Note 20, S21, and S22 models. Reason for the issue: The green line problem was reportedly linked to a software update, particularly the April 2024 security patch, affecting certain older Galaxy phones with Super AMOLED displays. Eligibility criteria: To qualify for the free replacement, the phone needed to be within three years of purchase and should not have any physical damage or water damage. How to claim: Users were required to visit a Samsung service center to get their screens replaced under this program.
Hi, same thing happened to me few weeks back, got it repaired from Samsung service center. My warranty will over by next month. Not sure if the same issue will happen again in future, so should i sell this phone now and get a new one.
what if this happens again after replacing the display cus its still running the same software ? mine is getting fixed by the warranty or should i trade it in and go for a different model "s23".
I understood your concern upon this matter. Regretfully we at live chat unable to advice on this as we are limited with basis troubleshooting steps. As for the next course of actions is to physically evaluate the device and identify the root cause of the issue. The device would need to be diagnosed by the technician. From there, the technician will submit the technical report to the higher management for review. then when i reach service center, they just let me know my phone was after warranty and need to pay the screen cost $280 to fix it. fxxking choosing samsung... i can't fix under warranty because i bought it earlier and facing this problem after 1year 2month...

Agreed. After the update just yesterday, this happened today. Many people aren't rich enough to buy a new unit; many of us, like me, save up money for this, but this is what they are doing. 😢
I've been suffering from the same problem for months. Now that the problem has been solved and 120Hz is used normally, hopefully not again. This is exactly what I do: Switch to 60Hz (I use this mode for about 3 months), update new patch early November of Samsung, use good guardian limit minimum heat threshold (Thermal Guardian). After updating the November update, the 120Hz error phenomenon has disappeared, and I'll keep an eye on whether Samsung has dealt with this software error through this update.

This is the current issue in only samsung s22 ultra phone and has same display error in many phones around the world and it's a screen replacement only solution for it. Hii Sameer any updates , did you get your screen replaced for free or it was a paid replacement.
@@sohelansari9082 I did get my screen replacement approved out of warranty.
@@2TurboCharged hi could you please suggest us how did you escalate the issue ?
Yes, it ended up being a fried CPU - not fixable. Ended up getting it replaced. Luckily, I had insurance, which low key saved my ass lol@@davidnieto2648

I somehow fixed the same problem with my s22 ultra but i'm not sure if it works for everyone.
Earlier today, I replaced the charging board for my phone because it has very weak network signal reception.
While doing the repair, i pushed down the socket for the LCD cable to secure it. Just trying out something that might fix the LCD.

Key points about the "green line" free screen replacement program:
Affected devices:
The program primarily targeted specific Galaxy S series and Note series phones, including the S20, Note 20, S21, and S22 models.
Reason for the issue:
The green line problem was reportedly linked to a software update, particularly the April 2024 security patch, affecting certain older Galaxy phones with Super AMOLED displays.
Eligibility criteria:
To qualify for the free replacement, the phone needed to be within three years of purchase and should not have any physical damage or water damage.
How to claim:
Users were required to visit a Samsung service center to get their screens replaced under this program.
a good solution to be sure if the reason is software would be to test downgrade to android 12
