My cousin bought a s22 ultra and the phone turned out to be fake, he done the IMEI checks and the Samsung diagnostic tool actually came up! So he thought the phone was real. He was in a rush when he bought the phone so took it home but when he checked the settings menu, many options are missing including the battery and device care section also the s pen doesnt work.
He called the person he bought it from but they are now playing around and not answering the phone and trying to avoid him.
How much did he pay?

Great video. Another good way to very quickly test is to use the zoom on the phone and take it to 100x. Fake ones can't do that and the quality of the zoom is terrible.

You understand that by just going in to device info and safety, i can show anything if its fake. Theres a program these scammers use that can literally change that. So it dosent matter if you check the serial number (what can also be fake and show as real), the phone info and details in settings. You would need to go and look for the program itself. Theres videos of these programs that people who buy the fake phones for content and to find the differences of the fakes.
You saved me $800 today. I found a S22 ultra over FB market place. it was a fake phone. IMEI was good. but diagnose with *#0*# didn't give all the menu to diagnose. Display was low pixel and camera quality suffers. No sticker on the back panel

Why is the packaging seal/tape different in yours? I see a transparent plain circle seal/tape on some.
some have those plain circles as seals.
What is the model? Mine is unlocked version with verizon eSim + europian physical sim and I don't have option to turn off the 5G. Very frustrating. It only works in the areas where there is 4G coverage

I bought my s22 ultra off AliExpress for cheap I was stupid ofc U can't get the best Tec in the world for 300$. But the sad part is that's it's slower than my Asus M1Like by alot. Either way it looks like a real s22 ultra but it's different under the hood and stuff. Mines from Vietnam Korea
This is a good video, but I did most of these checks and they don't seem to match my phone at all. I just bought the S22 Ultra from a Verizon dealer store. I can't do the diagnostic checks (nothing happens when I type in the phone area) and my serial number doesn't match the box. Hmmm. I have insurance on it and a receipt so I'll see how it does. If I have any problems with it, I'll return it at the store.
your serial number and/or IMEI should be on your receipt. If these do not match with the numbers in your device your warranty may not be valid
I bought mine through bell so if mines fake ima burst like a bubble.

Buy from a reliable source like you did, bought mines from Verizon which was made in September 21 2023, according to imei check.
Argos, genuine, but probably opened up, dropped, and returned to Argos twice😅 You won’t find dead pixels as it’s Amoled, they don’t usually have same issue.
Yeah u got to be careful when buying from argos i bought a brand new laptop in 2014 when i took it home and unboxed it the laptop was already setup with a lockscreen password straight away i knew someone had owned it b4 and returned it ,then argos simply repackaged it and sold it to me
@@TheRealAndroidDoctor Had a projector once, totally dead and clearly used as all packaging missing too. A delivery driver once told me they often just sent out returned items and left them in the van for next order. I’ve had good stuff from them but always a risk!

Of it shows snapdragon 8 gen 1 it should be original however the mediatek part doesnt sound correct

My S22 ultra does not have the engraved imei information on the phone at the bottom back side. I am using the 12/256 Indian Factory Unlocked Version. However, the imei check did return correct information, the device got registered via the samsung members app and also passed every other test mentioned.

After all the things I've watched about fakes in the past week or two I'm afraid to pay for a new phone. There are more crooks in the world, China and India etc. than honest people now. Samsung are also asking too much which is the very reason these crooks are getting away with it.

why do you cover the numbers? Did you seal it or what is so holy about the numbers? Everyone will have a different number no problem.🤣
Scammers can use these Numbers for fake cloned phones. The device would show as genuine Samsung in an IMEI chrck
@@wvienna3626 oh okay, thanks. I had one Samsung S22 plus and it said locked or something, not sure why but it's really a problem to buy used stuff from unknown sources. So I leave my Huawei P30 Pro, its a good phone.
