I already had Tokyo Ghoul on my list of manga to check out because of you and now Akira is higher in my priorities as well. If you haven't already, you should check out the manga for Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind by Hayao Miyazaki. The movie was good but only covers the first two of seven volumes, and it's a really brilliant story in my opinion. Not very expensive either, I think the hardcover set is about $60 online. Looking forward to seeing more manga from you!

Prized possession I acquired at Comic-Con: an original drawing by comic artist Dustin Nguyen of Shotaro Kaneda on his bike...in Nguyen's beautiful water-color style...framed right next to my degree in my home office lol...I guess that ranks what a nerd I am ha! You sold me on Tokyo Ghoul and Berserk now...we must have similar taste. I'll definitely use your link when I pick up the volumes I'm missing.
