You guys are Minnesota nice. It’s commendable that you chose to handle it the way you did. Not everybody would. I’ve had a couple of Curly, Moe, and Larry contractors in the past. I paid the bill, but then let my wide circle of acquaintances and friends know about them. Sometimes it seems that any doofus that can swing a hammer wants to be a contractor.

so that siding guy gave you a heads up about who he (his company) is. the one that does not like doing residential work. only commercial. they are very picky. you should have just said thanks very much and gone elsewhere. beautiful home by the way.
couldn't agree more. had a hard time finding a company to do this particular siding. we had already went a full winter with only house wrap, so in hindsight i was a little desperate and was willing to overlook, and ignore the red flag of the comment he maid.

i hear ya'. it is in that time (moment) when the stuff hits the fan that you gotta' pay attention. it is in the details. but not gonna' belabour the point, i will definitely keep watching. i want to see the finished product. the two of you (with a little help) have done a magnificent job so far. the exterior is stunning.
All you need is to put cement all in the front of your home so you don't track dirt into your home.

But why don't you show what these houses look like on the inside ? Why don't you show what they look like How they are furnished and what kind of insulation they have and whether they are completely soundproofed ??
