I LOVE your channel❤❤❤! You are one of the very few artists/ instructors who make me feel I can paint. It means the world to me, because I have health issues that have dampened my desire to be creative. Thank you and a very Merry Christmas to you🌲🎁
I‘m so glad you‘re able to enjoy painting along with me! That means the world to me also! Where would we be without one another xxx wishing you better health in 2024 xxx
Diane i LOVE running these long tutorials as 'noise' in my studio while i'am doing other things.. I can stop and take a break and watch a little.. otherwise you are keeping me company... and i make note of the parts i want to go back and rewatch.. Thank you for these looong videos! Hugs! deb
Here, in the U.S., my family does turkey on Thanksgiving, ham for Christmas. I would love to know your recipe for your nut loaf as I'm a vegetarian too. Sounds delicious! So many beautiful and fun paintings. Thank you!
Diane, are u trying to create a 4hr tutorial record? I would love to see a 4 hour or more to keep us engaged. Love it! ❤❤ Thank you for stress free painting and bringing back our childhood fun.
The joy of Christmas painting when you can cover your mistakes with snow, I love it cos my efforts look so much better when I add snow, a bit like the landscape. Thank you Diane, wonderful as ever ❤❤🇬🇧❤️
Thanks so much, Linda! Nothing better than a bit of snow to make everything look better - in real life, as in painting! Hope you are having a wonderful Christmas run-up!
I just love the gift paper wrap. I’m definitely going to do that. Love your new jumper too. A friend of mine gave me a beautiful long cardigan that she bought in Ireland and I just love it. It is sooooo warm.
Three sheep, coats of many colours and gold horns! I suppose a little sheep bell with frankincense and myrrh might be taking it too far...I do like the sheep. And all the ideas for cards, it is a lovely lead up to Christmas, seeing what you paint every day. Thank you.
How I wish fresh Christmas card ideas started in November. I hand painted 50 cards using older tutorials and mailed my cards all by 12/5. It was intense in my little office/studio. Nonetheless I've still enjoyed this long tutorials while I work on other painting with watercolor projects. Thank you for doing these. Very soothing.
I wish you’d noticed that we were putting up Christmas card ideas all through November! Here is a playlist with them all on ruclips.net/p/PLVksoedXAAmddaIcgRYdf4OUgrwVxayMH&si=OyE0FIfeIlh2hXYc
Hi Ann, we‘ve got five of these long videos for you to enjoy, hope this one keeps you enjoying your preparations (plus of course the 15 minute Christmas card series of 18 ideas…)
You really outdid yourself with these! I love the folk or punk or naive or whatever look. The colors are really vibrant and I love the cool tones of the graphite paints.
Your super long videos are fantastic. Currently I'm dealing with a difficult home situation and your long videos give me my sanity escape. Don't know how I'd survive without them 😊😊. I suspect you and I deal with a similar problem, except all I did was move to Northumberland. I feel for you. Please keep these long videos going, I absolutely love them, thank you x
Best PATREON TEACHER OUT THERE TO SUPPORT! Thank you Diane for all your generous tutorials and I especially love the 3-4+ hour loooooong tutorials❣️ It is 110 degrees here in Peoria Arizona today and I am going to have fun all day in my lovely air conditioned home making up Christmas cards and gifts a la Diane Antone❣️ That will cool me down❣️ 🙏🧑🎨👯
I just love the sounds of your farm animals and the beautiful music in the backround of your video! You are an awesome teacher and inspire me to try painting everything you paint. I already know how to paint but I love your style, especially the whimsical sheep! I have not had the time to paint in a long time so very soon, I will be pulling out my brushes and paint along with you. I could watch and listen to you all day long! Thank you so much for inspiring and teaching your wonderful techniques! 💖
Oh, my gosh! This is wonderful. This video is keeping me company, giving me inspiration, and it's chasing away my blues. Thank you! Happy Christmas Season to you and yours! 💖
I’m just tad older than you and for me the thing that I wanted was scotch tape (I think you may call it cello tape). The tv had ads with children creating castles and forts etc. from cardboard boxes and tape and I wanted some so much! Don’t think I even told anyone because I was sure it wasn’t in the budget! Boy if they could see my craft room now!! Now I need to figure out if someone actually wants my excess before I downsize!! Thank you for the memories!💕💕💕
I had to laugh when you said that one snowy picture looked like Calgary. I'm in rural Northern Alberta, and it looks very much like that little painting outside my window as I'm watching this video! Lol 💙
Yes, I can imagine what you can see outside. My daughter Tamsin’s dad lives up there outside Edmonton and so we still have connections with that part of the world!
Hi Monika, I’ve always, since childhood been attracted to all things German, especially the German Christmas - I fell in love with Spekulatius biscuits when I was also in love with my German teacher in 1968 - and when i lived in Uberlingen in the late eighties and worked in a bakery we had such fun making Christmas biscuits and Stollen… nothing matches that memory in my world!
@DianeAntoneStudio I made my Spekulatius dough yesterday. It's sitting in the fridge waiting for me to cut them out. It's a country full of history and tradition and passion. Especially under the influence of a good wine.
Watching this while making out my Christmas cards just inspires me to hurry the cards along, so I can get back to painting! The music is perfect and I love the snowy cottage! Thanks so much and I hope you take time to enjoy the holidays!
This recycled gift paper is a great idea and I love what I see of that new cardigan!! What a luscious color! Happy Christmas!! ❤️🎄❤️ Oh how sweet are those angels from long ago and their portraits!
When I watched you tip your paper to make the paint run down, I wondered if you had ever worked on an easel that was always slanted. Do you have any pros or cons about it? Love the looseness of those small trees.
I like that you are doing birch trees as I have been wanting to learn birch trees. What kind of pencil are you using on the birch trees? I always,Ike your tutorials as I always learn from you since I am a novice to watercolor.
I’m a super beginner in watercolor. I’m interested in your process and setup. What do you have under your working piece. What are you taping your cads onto? I love listening to your soothing voice and calm presentation. You make me think I can do this.
Hi Betty, thanks so much for joining the channel and I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos. Regarding your questions, these things change from time to time and there is more than one way of doing things. Usually have a piece of light corrugated plastic board under my painting, which I can tape to if I want to. Sometimes I use a light plywood board, or I might use Gator board which you can buy from any art supplier. Don’t hesitate to ask if you have any more questions! Wishing you a Merry Christmas, and a happy New Year!
Thank you so much for replying. I just finished the first scene you showed. My first attempt with snowing with a toothbrush. I’m encouraged. I get frustrated when trying to draw, so I loved just painting the moody snow scenes. @@DianeAntoneStudio
Love the ewes in color with stockings overhead! Giggled at your commentary and love the jazzy music. What a treat ❣

You’ve inspired me with your story of how your Christmas angel ornaments came into your possession. Thank you for sharing 💕🎄

Wonderful! Thanks so much Bev!
Yes, I really like the gift-wrapp idea, too. Although I will probably use my Meeden paints for that! Save the Kuretake for the cards.

I've very much enjoyed this video. So calm and nice ideas. Those little angels are classic German christmas style. Thank you for sharing them.

The wrapping paper would be really lovely stuffed inside one of those clear baubles (print facing out, ofc) :)
That would be cool!

Hi Diane. Love your variegated sheep. Could I have the yarn from them? No worries, but it would be pretty. Merry Christmas.
