There are so many combinations of water to paper to paint…the unpredictability is what makes it fun! I usually write out notes next to my experiences with color…I don’t call them mistakes but experiments. Now that I’m getting a little better, I can turn around something I don’t like to something better. I love that you call your wash, a puddle! 😆 Your creations are beautiful…thank you for sharing❣️🙏🏽🙋🏻♀️👍🏽Mia

I could see translating this process into fabric but I’ve always been enchanted by watercolors and the various techniques so I’m going to be playing soon in this fascinating medium. Thank you for the explanations and demonstrations.

Hi! So crazy my mother’s middle name is Gudrun she’s originally from Aschaffenburg, so nice to see you here! I normally use Silver Black Velvet, and the ones with the blue handle are Princeton Summit 😁

Thanks for the sub! Whenever you’re painting make sure you don’t have more water on your brush than what’s on the surface of the paper. The water from your brush is essentially pushing pigment away. You can lightly blot your brush before applying the paint, it helps get rid of excess water. I hope that helps!
I don’t have scrubby yarn. Don’t want to buy either. Do you think using cotton dish cloth yarn can work too. I’m going to try it. I have nothing else to do with it.

I would totally try that and cotton is absorbent so it should work 😊
