great vid. Ive ordered my scooter today and will definitely be getting one of them.A before and after would have been the cherry on top but the bike looks great.
Like listening to my Grandad! Good video and it’s great to see you admit your installation mistakes😂 Scorpion should have included some instructions! Keep it up👏👏
Thank you mate for your channel and content. Truly appreciate all the work you provide for our brilliant machines. Do you know off hand if this will fit a GT 150…? Cheers!
Great job. Does it have an 'O' ring supplied on the manifold joint? Also is there any need for a exhaust paste on the connection at the downpipe to the rear can? Just asking. Cheers.
The Slow_pulse_boy like the original down pipe the manifold doesn't have an 'O' ring and there is no need for exhaust paste. The quality of the system is obvious when you handle it and the can to down pipe fit is extremely accurate. These were both questions I had before fitting!
Hi I collected my new GP 300 on Saturday, I went approx 14 miles and the engine management light came on , my dealer said that it's probably the ECU not recognizing the scorpion, I'm just wondering if you had the same thing happen to you?
Hi Mike just a quick question yet again, I am fitting the scorpion exhaust hopefully next week, but Ive just noticed on your video that your back rest is sitting perfectly at 90 degrees to the seat. I fitted the same rear rack and was wondering if you used spacers under the rack to square it up.
@@MikeColwell On the scooter works website here in the states www.scooterworks.com/Scorpion-Exhaust-BlackRoyal-Alloy-GT-150-P14638.aspx they say it will boost your HP 1/2. Is this noticeable?
@@markdougherty9016 I didn't notice any difference in power after fitting. I certainly wouldn't by one for that purpose although we don't have the 150 with a carb over in the UK or Europe.
@@MikeColwell yes of course. Perhaps having the carb with the 150 will make a slight difference.ooks cool and sounds great but a steep price to pay for that.🤔
Hi Mike, I'm going a bit off topic here but would love your thoughts. Because of the popularity of the Royal Alloy I've been waiting for months for nine to come in. I have read that the 300's will be here by the end of the year. If I had a choice now I would purchase the 300 but have no really issue with the 150 air cooled carb and all. Everything I have read about the 150's state they are a very reliable machine. I am chomping at the bit to get on the road here before the snow starts flying. Not sure if I should hold on and wait for the Liquid cooled fuel injected 300 or go with the initial plan of purchasing the 150. I already have put down 2,000. What would Mike do?🤔

What a sweet mellow tone! Thanks for sharing this!
Brilliant vid Mike, keep em coming, very helpful indeed, especially with these particular machines being so new, looks and sounds great too btw 👍👍
Thanks for your comment I'm glad these are of use.
@@MikeColwell is it better than akra, remus, arrow, termi? Never seen vespa wearing this 🤔🙄
@@icanaja8192 honestly I've no idea I can only say it's an excellent high quality piece of kit.

Job well done Mike, sounds nice!
Thanks I was surprised how nice it sounds.

Great videos mate

Hi there did you have to use a new manifold gasket when fitting the scorpion or just use the old one ? 👍🏼👍🏼
Im trying to recall if it uses a gasket but if it does I used the original.
Great video! Thinking of getting a GP125 as my first scooter, what are they like?

Hi Ian, no I didn't have that issue. I would try running it longer to see if it recognises the change after a few re starts.
Mike. this is the same engine of the Vespa GTS 300?..regards from Guatemala.

Hi Jack, no it's just straight on, I have considered it might be better leaning back a little.
@@MikeColwell thanks Mike, I may have purchased one which was slightly out of square, thank you for clearing that up 👍🏻
Good video, but no exhaust paste connecting the downpipe to the can?
No it's not needed. It's a superb fit. I did check if it was needed.
@@MikeColwell was just thinking if you needed to remove it at any time lol. thanks for the reply :)
Hi mate did you fit a gasket between the header pipe and head
No I didn't as its not required
good video
Thanks good of you to say
Is there any noticeable boost in power on the lower end or further up the Rev range...?
No, do not buy an exhaust for power increase its not there even with a top quality one like the Scorpion. Buy for looks and sound not speed.

Surprised that your Scorpion did not have the tension springs and hooks on it for the exhaust to manifold !
Yes but it doesn't seem to need any additional fixings.

Assume the TG300 uses the same pipe as the GP300
I'm not sure!
Interesting as there not advertised anywhere as TG pipes only GP versions yet you see them on TG’s
