Dear Gen Z - Just know that your millenial parents and boomer grandparents slogged their a**es off at their 9-5 jobs, whether they liked it or not, just so that you could be sitting with a smartphone in your luxurious car and asking yourself “oh is there more to life than my oh so toxic job”! 😂

Listen, Lisa you are very young and living in Germany so I think this may have given you a misconception about jobs. You state earlier in your video that jobs are the more "stable" and secure option. In today's world, that is no longer the case. I am in the US and I saw colleagues let go left and right. Even companies making record profits are laying people off. So the job is no longer the safe, secure, stable option. Especially as you get older, ageism exists at least in the US.
You made the right choice of quitting and doing something better with your time than just trading it for money. I can tell you right now, if you don't at least like your work, you will never be as good as someone who does. I use to love my job and my role and I was a superstar. I got promoted into a new role and new department and I hate the work and feel exactly as you do. I am no longer that "superstar" employee and I feel like I am just existing, not living my life. I plan on quitting in Q1 of next year, sometime by Feb or March. Just saving up some money now.
