  • This video will show you how to connect a new Sidekick remote with the Sidekick and with the Club Booster V2. You do not need to follow these steps if you just received a new Sidekick with remote because that Sidekick will already be paired with the remote. You only need to connect it with your V2.

I recently bought an Alphard cart, V2 and sidekick. I had the cart and a regular remote for about a month before the sidekick shipped. I loved it. It worked great. Then I got the sidekick with the new remote and paired them up with the V2. However, I thought the directions were vague as to how the directional buttons worked along with the sidekick. I took the sidekick and new remote out with the V2 for the first time yesterday. The cart would follow me L, R or Behind just fine, but the buttons for manual control didn’t work. So, today I watched a video on pairing the remote with the V2 and they mentioned that after you pair the remote with sidekick (with the V2 turned off) you have just 3 seconds to turn on the V2 to pair it with the V2. When I paired them up in this way the manual control arrows on the remote started working. They do not work with the “follow” sidekick engaged. You have to stop the cart with either the side “follow, unfollow” button or the center stop button on the remote. Then you’ll see the circled “P” show on the remote. When the “P” shows up, then the manual arrow control buttons on the cart will work and you’ll be able to drive the cart manually. When you want to switch to having the cart follow you, just push the button”follow, unfollow ) button on the side of the remote control and you’ll be back in the follow mode. I’ve used the cart about 10 times now and love. The only problem I’ve had is disconnecting the drive when I want to free wheel it over curbs. The V2 doesn’t go into neutral very easily, so instead, I just turn off the V2 and when done curb hopping, I turn it back on. Outside of those two things, I am enjoying the cart and am glad I bought it.
