    For me, in casual conversation, the most important part of the sentence/ conversation is the key words. They are normally only 30-40% ish of the whole conversation but if I know the key words, then I'm fine regardless if I know other words. Same when I talk to other people, they would normally understand me as long as I emphasize the key words in my sentences. Unless when doing a formal presentation, I do skip a lot of grammar stuff in my sentences lol. Other things like body language, gesture are important too, I often use them to substitute my terrible pronunciation 😅, or use simpler vocabulary/ easier-to-pronounce words to walk around the problem

    I believe that trying to speak directly can make it easier to grasp the strengths and intonation of native English speakers. However, it's not essential because I've never had a conversation with an American in my country. Yet, I've acquired how they pronounce through listening practice.my opinion that reading and listening input are more important than pronunciation practice as the first step in learning English

      Hi again! 😊 yes, input is also important. I totally agree with this! Can I know how you practice your reading and listening skills?

    Mike here again to let you know you are doing great.
    I have a hearing impairment, so I would miss words people say regularly. So yeah, I understand.
    2 things watch everything on TV with subtitles and turn the sound down.
    Another is practice lip reading.
    Why the problem?

      @@hunji._ you are always welcome, if I see I can contribute something good to the discussion. I don't generally hang out there because you are focusing on learning English and speaking it well. The only way I could help is probably by speaking live or something. But my time is so limited and teaching English is yeah probably not high on my list of things to do. As I'm a Bible teacher, and that's my main focus. Even when learning Korean.
      Anyways a point or two that can help: observe when is the right time to pause. You can pause for emphasis, or pause to make a point stand out and pause for thought and reflection.
      These points are studied, tried and tested.
      Last point, slow down a tad, speak in word groupings- phrase by phrase.

      Hi! Practicing the pronunciation of the words with a linking sound will help! It worked for me :)

    this is video is dead helpful , because I'm doing exactly those mistakes, I ain't think about practicing linking words, nor pronunciation neither intonation. Iam more worried about to gain much more vocabulary, and implement new words, in order to not keep repeating myself on and on. However I'll try from now on to pay attention in the details that you just quoted in this video. Thanks a bunch, you are extremely sweet.

      " I wish he wandered in the forest " is grammatically correct. the word outside is not required.

    • @hunji._
      @hunji._  7 месяцев назад

      Hi! I would say both sentences are grammatically correct, but they can have different implications.
      The correct sentence depends on the specific meaning you want to convey. If you want to express a wish that the person is currently unable to fulfill, use the first sentence. If you simply want to express a desire for the person to be spending time in the forest, use the second sentence. FYI:

      *Could or simple past* as you told if someone unable to do something then i should use COULD and if i want someone to perform that action in perticular way then simple past but still I'm confused that to wander a tiger in the forest rather than inside a cage is totally imagined situation but still could give your own example? Hello

  • @MeLikeTennis
    @MeLikeTennis 5 месяцев назад

    Good Video. You talked about knowing how to spell and read pronunciation but irionically reading it 'Pre-nunciation' instead of 'pro'.
    You're also not as confident with your language because you're constantly just repeating and being redundant with your words to fill in dead air. It's too tacky and intentional in showing you can speak continiously without purpose, and native speakers might find you irritating and inefficient.
    'I like fruits such as strawberries, which give a unique taste of sweet and sour. The flavor is different from other fruits as it offers a variation of taste, which gives a surprise. The fruit is truly a fruit of a league of itself, which makes it stand out from other fruits and i truly like it. Given a choice to eat it, I would choose to eat it due to the surprise and refeshing taste it offers me.'
    You see where this is going?
