    Great tips. Good luck with your journey to speak English fluently. Make sure you know the parts of speech of the words you learn such as nouns, verbs, adverbs, adjectives, prepositions, etc. It is important to build the proper foundation in language such as phonics and grammar.

    In my case, I Know the Words , I know how to use each one but I don't have much people around me to talk in English, I had tryed some applications but it was not a good ideia because too much people use these applications as relationship apps, When they see you are a man they walk away to other room, So I'm improving my English only listening a lot and reading to acquire vocabulary, and I'm making progress 🇺🇸
    Of course making some mistakes but always trying to fix them.

      Oh yeah, that was a big struggle too. Finding the right people to talk to in English was not really easy. I wanted not only to just practice my speaking skills but have genuine friendships. It might be too ideal (?) haha but I didn't much want the conversation to go only on the surface level. Hope we can connect someday! Thank you for the comment :)

      Hi :) Since elementary school. But speaking was another thing and it took me 1.5-2years to be able to speak English quite fluently. I was a senior in college. Thank you for the comment!

    I like it🎉, nice topic that all language learners face.
    Something I've noticed-
    And most of us know this among our own cultures and families or community:
    People usually gain bigger words as they go through life.
    Why?
    Experience and or experiences.
    Even myself use more extravagant speech when I'm around extravagant people.
    Sometimes I hear a word and say: wow, I haven't heard that in a long time. Think I'll insert it into some future conversation.
    So your going along I'm life and find yourself inserting the word pretty much without even thinking about it.
    Me though, right now I'm still taking baby steps into 한글.

      @@hunji._ that would be the part I forgot to mention. Normal every day speech, simple easy to understand so as not to be confusing others, or give ambiguous phrases.
      As a person who reads and teaches the word of God(as I have studied for years and see no other plausible explanation for our existence, than to search for and serve the needs of our Creator) it's necessary to use understandable terms.

    How do you practice your speaking skill ?

    • @hunji._
      @hunji._  4 месяца назад +3

      HI Kanaya! I went through many ways for that. Simply speaking, I tried to talk to someone every single day and that one I talk to has no interest in my native language ideally, i did shadowing, I listened to lots of content touching on my interests ,etc. I believe improving our listening skills can help big time our speaking skills too.

    You said in one of your short videos that you used to practice 3 hours a day back in college and now because of your job you’re able to practice 10 minutes a day but it’s still effective. My question is what is your strategy in practicing for 3 hours a day and 10 minutes a day?

    • @hunji._
      @hunji._  4 месяца назад +1

      Good question! I have a lot to say on this. Putting it quite simply would be the following.
      for 3 hours, I was just literally trying to create the better environment that must be not boring but immersing myself. As I didn’t have a job I had a lot more time comparably, I could do many things. For example, I used to dictate all of everything said in the video, repeated after them sentence by sentence, no matter how easy/difficult the sentence is, tried to mimic them, checked some new phrasal verbs/words/expressions, and looked up the meaning of them. I sometimes was able to practice only 5 sentences for like 30 minutes to1 hour as my vocab and listening skills were not good enough so it took some time to master even 1 sentence.
      I enjoyed this whole process though, cause I was jus enjoying myself speaking English itself. I think I just liked this language at some point. Plus, I was on some platforms and talked to random people (talking and texting alike), etc (basically I tried to make some activities that need me to speak as much as possible).

    • @hunji._
      @hunji._  4 месяца назад +1

      For 10 minutes, after I got a job, this is after I realized that what is important is I do the practice "every single day". I couldn't spare as much time, so my strategy was do only one activity. For example, one day, watching like a 30-second video or a 1-minute video and learn new expressions or if i know all the wods/expressions, I tried to do the shadowing, another day, I talked to international friends on the phone. It’s a part of what I did. So what I wanted to say is no matter how many minutes we need to speak the target language every day.

      Hi, you're right. Listening and speaking, they are different. Though we may be good at listening in english, we might not at speaking. Hmm, I wish I could help you. The thing I can say for you is you may want to try to find some platforms where you can talk to random people in English every single day. All people can say this but I truly believe that helps a lot.
