I have both (both linear switches) and G915 TKL takes the cake for me. The easy connectivity switching, game mode button, and key cap feels make a difference for my use. I can relate to the edges of the Keychron caps and was easy to snag on them while typing. It's especially a problem while gaming. I like the feel of typing on both, but the G915 checks more boxes that fit my use.
Glad someone agrees with me :) For the money the Keychron is great, but the G915 shows its value when you use it daily.
Now if only they had made the Linear one in White it would be an easy sell for me.. but since it's in black it makes it hard for me to choose.
Sorry, but which one would you say requires the least force to activate?
I heard the Keychron has really bad latency. Is it noticeable for you?
@@qtip_cs Wouldn't call it bad, just not at the level you get with gaming keyboards. Over wire it's a bit over 10ms. Competitive gamers would probably scoff at that but it isn't bad at all. I can compare it to the G815 (same keyboard as G915 just wired) and I absolutely cannot tell the difference in latency.
Over Blutooth it's something like 24ms, which is pretty high by modern standards. I think I can notice the difference between wire and Bluetooth, but I'm not really sure I could tell the difference in a blind test. It's still perfectly usable for gaming.
Also, Keychron's optical switches (the ones in the video are mechanical) have a very shallow actuation point, so compared to high profile switches, they will feel much more responsive.
Great video...I am confused between these two...but I have limited budget so might go with K1 (or K3)
a great review and a voice
I have the white 915 TKL out for delivery right now 😁
I have the G915 TKL and it is a great keyboard but I always have this preference for the laptop style keys so when I saw the release of the Logitech MX keys mini It immediately got my interest. Would love to see a review sometime particularly can you game with it?
I got the k1 se and bluetooth has no issues so far. Its a brialient board but I do with it had lightspeed dongle for my PC that has no bluetooth. Had a spare keycap in teh box was already broken when I got it and keychron sent me a new one.
I was shopping for the Keychron after all the hype online because not only is it cheaper, but it's also less expensive. Sadly, it's not wireless because it only comes with Bluetooth. There's nothing I hate more than tripping over Bluetooth wires. :-) I have a white G915 TKL in my Amazon cart right now, but it's not available with the linear switches. Oh, well.
Bluetooth "wires" ?
"Cheaper" and "less expensive"?
What do you mean?
@@sibis4608 There are keybaords which have all three options: wired, wireless and Bluetooth. By wireless, it is understood that it has its own wireless dongle which is not only more reliable than Bluetooth, but also has much lower latency. Latency is probably Keychron's biggest downfall, the G915 has better wireless latency than Keychron's wired latency.
The worst part on Keychron keyboards is that the keys are not flat. My fingers do not slide to upper easily. This waiting for keyboard which beat Thinkpad II keyboard.
To future G915 owners:
If you're gonna remove the keycaps on your G915 to clean it then know that you'll need a new keycap set. No matter how carefully you remove them, you're bound to break their little shitty legs. The keycaps have a terrible build quality.
I have 915 TKL version and I sometimes remove keycaps for fun, just play with them and put them back. I took it apart fully 2 times now and nothing broke. I was using tool and by hand(mostly).
Hi, is there a difference between the g915 tkl black and white except the color? If yes i would love yo know
Yes. Switches. ruclips.net/video/OMakGggDDRs/видео.html
@@TheProvokedPrawn thanks i just watched it, is it just me or the white keyboard has buton closer with each other compared to black?
I have a last question for you but it's an hard one, can i still use the bind of the keyboard numbers in my mouse (logitech g600) even if they are not in the keyboard anymore?
I wonder if K1 suffers from super long wake up after sleep on BT cz K8 had this exceptionally annoying issue so I mostly had it plugged in
Out of curiosity, does your G915 TKL register the key input before the "click"(Fully pressed)?...because I tend to keep my finger in a (50% pressed) and it juz register the input
The big problem if Logitech is that do not light the symbols!!!! why they do that!!!!
How is Bluetooth “not really wireless”? It works without a wire. That’s all that “wireless” means, quite literally. 🤨
Because it's not low latency 2.4ghz 🤷♂️
@@TheProvokedPrawn True, but that doesn’t make it not _wireless._ Just not _low latency._
because keycron takes so long to wake up from sleep you will eventually start using cable. It's really that bad . I didnt believe reviews until got my k8. 2-3/10 times it just takes tens of seconds or minutes to wale up so I would end up removing bt device and reconnecting. It gets so annoying I just kept it plugged. Battery doesnt hold too long as well.
I'm skipping the G915 because everything felt cheap to me when I tried it in the store. From the mediakeys to the volume rocker, to the switches and the keycaps. The Keychron K3 looks awesome since it's much cheaper and has optical switches. I'd definitely look forward if Logitech would make like a 75% layout of the G915 with optical switches similar to Keychron. Maybe get rid of the media buttons and replace the volume rocker with a programable rotary encoder as seen on the Glorious GMMK Pro. Then I'd definitely make my purchase.
Fair enough. It's all personal preference at the end of the day 😎
Was the 'enter' key on logitech g915 always been like that?
That's the difference between US and UK layouts. You'll also see a small shift as well.
Nah it's like that everywhere in Europe mostly since it's under the ISO layout norm.
