Tavern Brawl #40: Simply The Best ► bit.ly/tavernb40 Игры
With all of these 30 spell brawls over the past few months, I've been inspired to come up with my magnum opus: The 30 Bash Brawl.
+CassiusBenard1 the player who went second would always win
+CassiusBenard1
Hunter would be good in that Brawl.
+CassiusBenard1 AHAHAHAHAH THATS GENIUS
+22NightWing Paladin would be better, except against mage
+CassiusBenard1 This is the second time today that I read magnum opus. Stop using french words.
You could say Kripp is my idol.
That's so raven.
YOU ARE MY IDOL FOR PUNS.
Every Tavern Brawl where you can get a Magma Rager is a good brawl. But I liked the one where you got Magma Ragers from your Hero power more.
+MagmaRagerino Kripperino You know what's even better? Getting Am'gam Ragers.
+Am'gamRagerino Kripperino where do YOU come from??
+MagmaRagerino Kripperino This brawl sucks because I can barely ever gain +3/+3
Kripperino Brawlerino
Jamoin
S up svenne?
+Emil Jörgensen Bayern for the win
+Emil Jörgensen Bayern München ist scheiße!!
Bayern will raise the Champions League cup. Mark my words.
#NeverSkipTheKripp
Always*
+TheQuentinSK8 Never did, never will!
+TheQuentinSK8 u disgust me ...
+Reno Jackson I can't wait until your fazed the fuck out in 2 years....
+Ryan Ianaro Yeah I can't wait for reno to get phased out of Hearthstone and join the Faze CS:GO team either. #fazed
Raven Idol video with Entomb in the thumbnail DansGame
yeeeee
It's because he played priest most of the time WutFace
lol rank 25 players telling kripp what to do.
lol rank 1 NA players telling kripp what to do
+Hybrid Shadow =D
+Makko except kripp got to legend so yeah.. that's not much better
Thanks for the idea Kripp, I saw your spells-only strategy and played face Shaman. Worked pretty gud.
My favorite Kripp vid so far. Nice games, dude. Always spells.
my fav tavern brawl for druid combo. always grabbed that FoN, well played, and they surrendered. most of the time didn't even have savage roar but the rage quits too real
These games were so much fun to play. Really liked the decision making aspect. Kripp's point about this v. Unstable Portal is exactly on the nose. Well done Blizzard!
Totally agreed about Priest. I went with that approach as well and it was indeed great fun.
play mage, get The 2 Mana 3/2 (1Mana Spell discount), win
+dunstless *apprentice sorc i actually really enjoyed priest in this brawl. many powerful spell pulls, and great tempo swings like vol'jin. shadowfiend almost as good as sorc, too.
+thrashish thats the card i meant, thanks
+dunstless Not really. It only gives you a tempo advantage by 3 mana or so. It's far from an auto win.
Idol > portal > prince galywag then idol > portal > to summoning stone.
that was my first game lol
Got it once. Annihilated the guy 😜
you made it looked like it's one of the best brawls with your game play, so entertaining.
This was my favorite brawl to date with less than 1/2 a year of play time, so I know that doesn't say much, but still my fave yet.
This Tavern Brawl was great. It was like playing arena but you build your deck live. Paladin was really good for me, don't worry about spells until you need an answer. Chances are you'll find a buff or equality etc. You'll already have Keeper of Uldaman anyway.
Mage deck was incredibly powerful this week too, especially with the Flamewaker. O.M.G.
That was my favorite. I'd love to see more games of that
Man, I loved playing this brawl on... hunter! Just pick tons of spells to try and get lock and load, then... it gets interesting.
It feels like every time a new brawl comes around kripps like "this is the best brawl eeevvvveeeer!"
That eyes moving around during discover at last game scared the shit ot of me
Thx for releasing this video. Now we can have a LOT of free kills on the ones stupid enough to actually pick priest and go all spells.
31:57 "I have lethal." *gets vaporized*
@Kripparrian I tried Priest in tawern brawl after watching this video and yeah it kicks so much ass its ridiculous !
My favorite class in this tavern brawl was Hunter.
Lock and Load at the right time and you are loaded with stuff to play.
"naturalize might be a pretty good card" Understatement of the decade
I liked playing Rogue this brawl, because endless 1-cost spells meant combos were super easy to activate, and a lot rogue spells are mana-efficient 1-for-1 trades. That said, the sheer chaos of playing Mage, getting endless free idols from a single sorcerer apprentice, buffing a mana wyrm to 4/3 by turn 2, then echo of medivh to do it all over again was pretty insane. Had at least 2 people ragequit as soon as I got the second sorc apprentice.
the thing you mentioned with priest . . . a mage can win a game with spells ONLY , i did it first because i had a * cast 40 spells quest* and then after a few times for fun , you are pretty much a freeze mage with that :D and i even WON some XD
This was a really fun episode to watch, can you make more?
This brawl Alarm o bot was crazy good
I'm really enjoying doing this with spell priest. Some advice: start gathering burst early. You'll lose plenty of games, but there's nothing like a tug of war to turn 8 followed by "LOLOLOL I HAVE 3 MINDBLASTS!"
This week I played warlock. Picking siphon and using 6 times, then 3 twisting nethers, oh my
Lock and Load in hunter, is really good too, we not only get class cards but weapons.
"Alright, spell, I guess" ResidentSleeper "Haven't picked a spell in a while, let's go spell" ResidentSleeper "Spell isn't that good, but alright" ResidentSleeper "No other choice, might as well pick Spell." ResidentSleeper
I got Ancestor's Call with only Malygos in hand into triple lightning bolt + lava burst. Opponent "only" had 27 health so it was slight overkill but man shit was glorious. I got Malygos as one of my first picks and then kept picking spells to stall game.
It felt like a few days ago that the Kripp looked Balderino..
SORRY I BURNED HIS HAIR OF BY ACCCIDENT.
My last game involved me taking a warlock to fatigue while playing a Druid because every time I grabbed a big minion it got instantly siphon souled.
wow that last play was mad
+Kripparrian Actually something that beats the crap out of Priest in this Tavern Brawl is Lock'n'Load Hunter. Works like a charm.
yea, it was actually kinda fun to play priest, spells only.
only tried once, though, but the rogue i faced got really pissed off :D
this brawl i managed to pull off grim patron + charge + cruel taskmaster + inner rage which was pretty cool
Had a ton of fun with Lorewalker Cho this week, especially with priest, keepin him alive, fuckin awesome ahahahaha
that was awsome. best brawl yet.
when you get the quest to win 5 games in the tawern brawl but one game takes like 10-15 minutes lol
Hunters are also very good in this brawl because of their Lock and Load spell. They get so much cards out of the idols there...
Wish you showed the one yesterday with that Malygos rogue lol.
Went 20-2 so far. Favorite brawl to date lol
yeah priest was pretty awesome this week xD played no other class
THE BROTHERHOOD SHALL PREVAIL!!!!!
A truly control deck.
Also, Questing Adventurer is really dangerous in this brawl. And Deathlord is insanely OP.
This has been my favorite Tavern Brawl. A lot of Brawls tend to focus on thing thing I hate most about HS; excessive randomness. This was 100x better than Unstable Portal because (while random) it allowed you to make real choices with every card you draw (even though they are all the same card.) It rewarded planning, card evaluation and knowledge, and problem solving more than any I have played.
My only complaint is that using Raven Idol excluded access to weapons, and this actually matters to a few classes. I would like to see a Brawl that was just like this but allowed weapon based classes access to their weapons somehow as well. I feel it would keep the classes far more balanced. Maybe if it were 25 Idols and 5 other class cards that are prechosen for balance by Blizzard.
+Patricia Cross I like the fact that it has less randomness, but it's still horribly RNG. Sometimes you try to pick a minion and your every choice is between the likes of Jeeves, Stoneskin Gargoyle and Young Dragonhawk (this actually happened). Sometimes you absolutely need some form of removal and despite being able to name 8 spells that would do the job, none of them pop up out of 4 idols. It's that frustration that kills the brawl for me. I much much prefer the discovery brawls where you pick something at the start of the turn and build up your hand or your deck (even though those didn't give you weapons either, making weapon-centric classes kinda bad).
Indeed. But what is really great about this Brawl is being able to use your early turns to plan out your game. If you play right you can actually have a solid hand before the game even really starts. In this Brawl I find the RNG is actually about the same as it is in Constructed. At least that has been my experience. Once I got used to the format and the classes; just about every game played out along similar lines.
13:37 I would write "Justice Demands Retribution," too.
Kripp is a friggin master
Hated this week's brawl. Far too much RNG and the first three turns are basically a loading screen.
+arcengal so fucking slow, i got the " everyone get in here" quest took me forever to complete
+Bruno Araújo huntard
***** nice logic
+Bruno Araújo skip it BITCH
***** and take a shitty 40 gold quest? No, thanks
I can't wait for this brawl to come back when Yogg-Saron is out
How people get new paladin and mage heroes? They are not in shop.
I agree that the Tavern Brawl was interesting. I had to employ a ton of strategy.
I really enjoyed playing rogue in this matchup
Played 1 brawl (for the free deck) immediately stomped him. Such an easy brawl. The ultimate control deck.
Picked mage, got wild pyromancer first, activated him 4 times with the other raven idols after collecting some more spells and minions, completely cleared the board and had insane board pressence.
Also, you can get unstable portal from raven idol, even though the total cost of the minion will still be the same, you can pay the 3 extra mana whenever you like, and it can be spread over 3 turns if needed.
+zimri19 nobody gives a shit
Kirill P you care enough to reply
Have to agree about Priest. The only time I lost was double legendary Trogg....simply couldn't get an answer in both rounds...
i played only picking spells with priest(doesnt matter what)!!awesome games!!!
I really liked druid. Naturalize/mulch extremely powerful with both players having nearly infinite cards anyway.
nice spider tank play..early turn 6
agreed with this vid. priest is awesome. especially in mirror when your opponent is use to play face.
So I haven't watched Kripp in a few weeks.. where the fuck are all the kripperinos?
+Noraa Rendrag reynad killed them all
+Noraa Rendrag They're slackin man, dying out
I love playing the shaman, but maybe im bias since i've played shaman since early closed beta
I won this because I got a Sorcerers Apprentice on my first Idol. I just spammed all of idols and was super ahead on mana
Here is the simplest ideia for the easiest and most fucking fun brawl ever: Make all cards able to be used in any class, PLEASE
blizzurd pl0s
+Ademar Rosar Enjoy Secret mage with mysterious challenger.
SirTatManTat yeah, but at least some people will try fun decks and not be complete pieces of shit
Nah EASY OTK decks it wouldn't be fun
I really like the change to blade flurry, it's basically making it into shadowflame. Imagine how OP shadowflame would be if it was 2 mana could hit face and was buffed by spell power :/
I tried spell hunter, only picking spell and it was a blast, the win rate was about 5050 for me
Was really hoping for an old gods themed brawl FeelsBadMan
I'd say there's a 90% that will be the theme next week.
+Aaron Dacon (Roflawful) but the expansion comes out the 26th.
+Aaron Dacon (Roflawful) WHT NOT A DEATHWING BRAWL
+Aaron Dacon (Roflawful) Which is the day before brawl anyways
Shaman: go face, play elemental destruction, play a minion, repeat, win
Lot of fatigue games and good control matches this brawl.
Turn 9 Ysera --> Ysera Awakens
Turn 10: Double Faceless the Ysera --> Innervate --> Ysera awakens for Bord Clear
Turn 11: Tripple Nightmare Buff --> Win
-------------------------------------
Was fun!
I won so many games as priest just fishing for Mind Blasts and occasionally healing myself
18:45 Kripp = Fun killer.
On my first brawl, I got 2 prophet velens and shadow form. After, I got 2 Dr booms. Priest is amazing.
Got Troggzor in a game and put him on an empty board turn 7. MY opponent looked at his hand, played one raven idol and then instantly conceded ...
Also had a game where my opponent played Hobgoblin turn 3 and then had 3 one-attack minions to play after that .. still won that one somehow (pretty sure the guy was on his phone or something, cause he played awfully slow, roping most of the tiime)
"Allright, spell I guess" ResidentSleeper "Haven't picked spell in a while" ResidentSleeper
how to you get the raven idol card??
yay he picked priest! i went straight priest after my first game because entomb/mind control
I just picked warlock, got a good demon and used demon fuse, power overwelming, and other demon modifiers
hunter is fun, lots of removal, lock'n'load creates lots of exrtra cards, ball of spider too and on top of that you get buzzards and other beast combos that are really OP and fun :D
high winrate but when you roll really bad, you can get overwhelmed
did a spellhunter vs spellhunter duel, my opponent kept playing traps and i chose flare several times, he did 2x too xD it was hilarious, almost the entire game no board that stay alive a turn
+AwoudeX
on sap: it is just a win of tempo, it doesn't actually remove the minion completely... death/deadlyshot/hex/polymorph might cost more, but at least they really get rid of the minion.
Lol thanks for the tip kripp I won my first match with priest. entombed flame leviathan and dealt two damage to him at the end of the match cx
I would love for you to do a whole episode on how past cards are going to become premiere cards for competitive play like for instance naturalize and black knight....we will see some comebacks and I would like to see an overview of which past cards you think will become solid inputs into viable competitive decks please
he did...
Themightyinvader
I am not an avid watcher so I apologize if I missed that. Could you be so kind as to post a link of that please. I have a busy schedule and don't have the time to look at every video he has made. At the least, tell me the video's title so I can look it up myself when I do have time. Thank you.
I loved this brawl
hunter is insane in this brawl!
Look at this brawl
This brawl is amazing!
Give it a lick
It tastes just like random...
Oooh that's dirty!
Do you think so?
Well i better not show you where the rng is made! Sweet rng! Mmm sweet rng! Sweet rng! Yes sweet rng!
Kripp lusting for Confessor Paletress at 19:10. I bet Rania is not pleased.
As a control player, I feel sorry for not playing more of this brawl now...
I always fish for spellbender and its common in my games :P
+Darth Imperius The only game I won against priest in this brawl was when I played mage and got three Spellbenders. Shadow Madness? Nope. Mind Control? Nope. Velen's? Nope.
I AM THE ESSENCE OF MAGIC
Personally Mage is one of the best because of some really OP cards like Mana Wrym and Sorcerers Apprentice, and even Archmage Antonidas
I won the most games with a Mill/Control Druid. I also managed to get a couple of Lorewalker Cho games in to lock out my opponent's hand. I'd suggest anyone to give it a go, it's a lot of fun. Druid will also allow you to have FoN + SR cancer as a backup.
Well Kripparrian, after seeing your video on Priest in this tavern brawl and after trying it out myself, I have to say: No chance of winning with Priest here. You may be able to outmaneuver your opponent for a while but eventually he will run you down. Yes, the spell-heavy feature that Priest is allowed to run here, is quite fun but after roughly 30 games played with your proposed tactic I must conclude that it is not viable here, albeit quite funny.
The Brawl came out on 420... What does the Idol look like?
I just picked Shaman and picked minions in the early game and then just picked burn spells and never lost.
30:20 is there a now mage portait?
sorcerer's apprentice is so damn amazing in this brawl
