When it went into fast forward after the lap I thought he crashed! Took me a minute to realise what was going on... amazing lap. This should be on instead of formula 1.
I would LOVE to see this made into a world wide million-dollar sponsorship circuit with 16 races. They could just let them have basically 4x Qualifying (have the track to yourself) and 4x Race sessions, two each on Sat and Sun, and give em points for each. So 8 total sessions + practice and lots to watch and the fastest guys gotta be fast on both Sat and Sun over the season.
that vvl head is insane, makes 6 cylinder power without the unnecessary weight while also being able to be revved very very hard. Completely changed the SR game when that VET conversions came about

Thats the thing, hammerhead isnt pushing way more power than the rest of the field. The grip/traction looks to be the big difference compared to last year IMO. Those cornering speeds are so quick, it doesnt look natural...and it's an S13! A +20 year old chasis and engine (basically) is still setting records!
To be fair...it's hardly an SR20 and it's hardly an S13...have you seen the billet and tube frame chassis it has...not to mention the full carbon fiber shell...it's an absolute monster!
Hmmm people just use cars and strip them down, so why not rip things down to the bare chassis and build a completely different purpose build car? Using all the aerodynamics that we’re banned in F1 to total advantage here (ground effects, skirts, etc)
