I've lived in Australia, Japan, Singapore, and Germany. And traveled a lot like many people. No country does trains like Japan. No country does service like Japan. Both points are deeply cultural. Put them together and you have an unmatched experience.
@@forestfox66 a fair question. But I have been on trains in Norway and agree they are good. But what differentiates Japan is the level of service (and things like cleanliness, maintenance, etc). These cultural factors are hard to mimic.

I just want to say, as someone learning Japanese these video's are super helpful! Purely because I not only get to hear it spoken over the PA systems, but you also zoom in and show things like the instructions on the chairs which lets me see if I'm able to read them! Very helpful for understanding how words are put together.

I will say, I am a solo traveler. And these are exactly the things I do when I travel. Just normal everyday things. It's the best way to get to know the place you visit. Not every vacation needs to be an event.
The train is certainly nicely designed. I preferred the first class to the premium. Essentially, I was put off by no seats but a passageway by the windows on one side. I understand what they did and it benefits two travelling together. But the solo traveler who has aisle seat misses chance to see views that a window seat provides. Wonderful video, as always. Thank you.

The Japanese have a wonderful talent in making beautiful things which are also practical. Like the interiors of the Shinkansen and the Ginga train. Everything is stylish and special...so the customer feels special also! :-)

Something is very much wrong with this train: The journey is far too short! It needs to be about six hours in such lovely conditions! And, as always, I'm extremely impressed how even the most humble food, like spaghetti, is made to look beautiful in Japan.
I certainly don't think this is a train I would use for such a short period of time, but I think it is a good way to experience luxury without spending a lot of money.
First, I expected another Sunrise Izumo Express 🤣 The interior looks amaaazing and if you didn't know: Atami is actually an amazing city by the coast that has a lot to offer for it's size. What amazed me was the internet speed on the train 👀👀

Well done, in italy it’s quite common to clean the sauce left on the dish with bread, it’s called “scarpetta” (little shoe lol) it’s commonly considered a waste to eat pasta and trash the sauce left

This is so different to travelling on trains in the UK. No shouty drunks and somewhere to sit, unimaginable luxury.

I think the train goes much further away just that he alighted early? It gonna be so much more expensive if he travel further away.
