I love how people on the station are waving as the train goes by. It seems like such a small gesture, but it's really heartwarming in so many ways. Such hospitality and gesture of kindness doesn't exist where I'm from, so it always warms me up when I do see it happen. This was an amazing video, I had a lot of fun watching!
Dude. You’re a whole new genre lol. You make us laugh while teaching great travel stuff of Japan. It’s really nice. You make my wife and I smile every time. Thank you 😊
Domestic tourism in Japan is really world class. It’s one of the things I miss most about living in Japan. For US$340 you get all of that… makes me want to move back.
First of all, you have taught me something. My youngest son and I spent the night in New Orleans last week. As we were leaving our room, without realizing it, I thanked the room for a wonderful stay! Second, I absolutely love your channel. I have binge watched almost every one. America's ferry's, trains, and busses are nothing like what I have seen on your channel. Added to my Bucket List is going to Japan and experiencing some of these amazing things! ❤️
After watching so many of these videos, I'm really starting to like and admire the Japanese people. They're so respectful, friendly, and decent. I hope to someday make a trip to Japan so I can experience it all.
Imagine, this was a nation who made massacre to Korea and China during the second world war. They needed to be nuked by USA to stop, and it took them 80 years to get back to normal. What will stop Russians in Ukraine? Who many years they will need to become a normal nation?
You should think about doing a second channel about eating Japanese food. It's amazing, looks like a ceremony and has a very strong calming and sleeping effect (something like ASMR) 🙂
I don't know exactly what it is,but there is something unique about the 'vibe' that Japan and the People exude.Visiting Japan is high on my bucket list.
I'm really looking forward to your channel's subscribers growing to millions so you can make videos of trying trains and capsule hotels abroad! this is my favorite channel!!!!
I absolutely adore the culture of waving in Japan, and I loved how excited he was when someone walking by waved back at him! As someone from the southern US i think it's kind of similar to southern hospitality, and it's really interesting to see. Thanks for another great video!
And what a Splendid experience with you again....I dont know if my comment will catch your eyes or not but wanted to say that I never missed a single vlog of yours...and with your wits it becomes all the more enjoyable...just LOVE Japanese people and their incredible culture....already in love with Japan..hope to visit your beautiful country some day....All the Love and Well wishes sending from 🇮🇳 India...
@@SoloSoloTravel Am honoured that you replied Sir...Arigatogozaimashta..😊😊..(please pardon me if i wrote the thank you part in Japanese wrong)...looking forward to more videos and experiences...
I so wish we could cultivate an experience like this with trains in North America. I think it would be so much fun to go to different small towns, sample the local food that they're famous for, and then sleep peacefully as you roll off to the next town.
😂Mate I nearly choked when I did read you thoughts about that curtain. As usual great to travel with you. Beautiful train and great before and after comparison. Everytime so relaxing. Thanks for the trip and the foot. Everytime just so relaxing. Have a good start into the new week.
Another certified banger 👌 Edit: Seeing the before and after shots of how they modified the train was super interesting and really well edited. Great stuff. (Also, seeing you wave back to all the nice people on the platform was very wholesome 😊)
The most impressive part is I think this is the first long distance route like this that seems to have something at every stop. Here in usa, they'll only stop at each station for 5 minutes, but over there it seems like they have the time to get off and enjoy whatever local business came to the station that day! Seems so much more fun.
I don't know if anyone has ever noticed this...but...after looking at probably a hundred international train excursions (which all are awesome), there is no trash or garbage on and around the tracks. How delightful.
So lovely how every station seems to have hospitality and souvenirs to offer passengers! In the USA, taking Amtrak (our cross country rail system), if you exited they might leave without you 🤣
Everytime you post a video I rush to watch it because I am so excited! Thank you for sharing these beautiful experiences with us who may not ever get to see them otherwise 🤍
“The curtains are as beautiful as a roll of toilet paper at your local school.” Winner! 👏 🥳 You are a modern day Jack Kerouac brimming with dry humour. I love it! Such a big fan of your videos. It makes me wish that I can just head to Japan and do all the same trips!
Thanks to this channel, I associate Japan with relaxing and peaceful. I would love to get a home in a Japanese suburb / village and live there 3 months out of the year. It seems like it would be so calming.
NEW CONTENT YAY!!! i find your videos very relaxing, since i found your channel ive grown the habit of listening to train sounds to sleep better! I cant wait to sleep on a train myself.
I discovered your channel recently. I really love it. Sometimes I use the currency converter to find out how much one of your trips would cost me in my country's currency. 😅 I like the subtitles and not the voice, but I wouldn't mind listening to you sometime. 😊 I like to travel through your videos. Thank you! Greetings from Argentina. (sorry for writing with the translator) I hope you understand. 😉🇦🇷
That is truly one heck of a transformation to from the old 40yrs old commuter train to that very stylish and modern sleeper, I love the way the beds fold out of the seats, thank you for another very entertaining and informative video
I too hope that masterpiece is immortalized forever. It would easily be worth making a pilgrimage to Japan to see it someday. I was disappointed that we didn't get a rating for that toilet, but I'm guessing it was B-tier at most.
I’ve watched several of your train travel vlogs and I really admire the cleanliness and comfort of the trains and everything in general in Japan! Must be quite an enjoyable, comfortable experience. I’d like to experience it one day!
I enjoy all your video creations. You are totally expanding my travel mind. Thank you for creating. You are an artist and so bleeping funny. I love your humor! Your videos fill me heart. Travel on!
Been watching Japan's sleeper trains, and it feels as if I'm travelling with you! hahaha Thank you for sharing your experiences! Been in Japan from 1986 to 2007, and it's amazing how changes were made all these years! I'm all hoping I could go back and visit Japan again! Been in many places mostly onsen hotels on business trips back in time! Been to Akihabara, shinjuku, shibuya, Ginza, Ikebukuro, Tokyo, then innaka toki de, Gunma Ken, Tochigi Ken, Niigata, Gifu Ken, Gero onsen, Takayama, Takarazuka, Nagoya, ect and Osaka. What a great journey! It seems the Ginga West Express is more of a tourist attraction in its own right, and not just a passenger train? It definitely seems like a wonderful experience.
Not using voice and making the viewer focus only on the video really creates a while different vibe, totally love your videos.
But you know there are subtitles, don't you?
The vibe is like going on a trip and making these sorts of observations and remarks to yourself in your head
@@dianna0076 that's exactly what I'm saying, using subtitles instead of voice
@@Xoic3s oh okay then, I got it wrong, sorry

I don't know why, but seeing the people and even the staff waving good-bye to the train on the platform made me smile so much.

Japanese trains are so beautifully maintained, you cannot easily tell how long they have been in service.

On my first trip to Tokyo I felt like a KING, which was a strange feeling. The best 2 weeks of my life.

It looks wonderful. I would love to visit Japan.
I love how enthusiastic everyone is for this new train, especially those guys in the rice fields LOL, hope they got some nice pictures!

Hi, I have many Japan train videos on my channel, check it out!😉
He tried many times before, almost nobody waved back in his previous videos. This video, he got real lucky.
Southern hospitality is a thing of the past.
They are waving like in the movie called “The Truman Show”

"It tastes like clay" SENT me. This guy's sarcasm was too good 💀
The fades between the old and the new train is so good.
