All of us listening to this clearly love great music it's great when you can hear a band like this bring back an old song and do it their style and make it sound original Warren Haynes will go down as one of the best ever that's just what I think
I was living with a woman named Angie in Schwabach Germany when this album came out really brings back the memories. Those were what we call the good old days.
For those not around in the 70;s, Mick Jagger wrote this about David Bowie's wife Angie. Then he traded Bowie his wife Bianca for Angie and they all went to 54 together to snort and make the scene. Life was so different pre HIV and Moral Majority!
I frist listen to this song i was 9 years old i loved it so much I said i would name my first daughter ANGELA and that I did.I love my beautiful Angie.i still love this song to this day.but my daughter moore... love ya Angela Ann....love
Sounds like a decent cover. But it's only that. I get if you're a fan of Government Mule, or any band, the band in question will sound to you like the greatest thing since sliced bread even if they cover Baa Baa Black Sheep. The Stones' original is sung by the guy who WROTE it, and who KNOWS who Angie is, and it's real life to him...and most importantly, it *sounds* like real life to Mick. And you can't replicate that extra layer of authenticity just by playing the right chords and singing the right words in a cover version.
ah yeah you're right, jorgen was there but not on this song. id start looking out at who played on that day but i've already ruled out the bass players from the big bands there that weekend (i think?). setlist.fm lists cody and luther on the song before (guess i don't really remember that) but its obviously neither of them, just says 'rolling stones cover' for angie. shoot warren an email, or maybe radio woodstock might have some insight
Michael Miller, ya God Damned Right ❤️! ....and, I don't like talking that way... Just Only common since Answer to ya Awesome Comment that makes sense to me...fr
Chris Myers no it isn't. It's also not about Bowie's wife. It was written by Richards and it's not about his daughter, Angela either. It just happened.
I have much respect for Warren and the Mule, especially his guitar work, but he couldn't match the raw emotion that this song is supposed to have; that you can feel in the original. I don't believe anyone else can re create that.
Thank you for your comment I agree with you no disrespect to Warren or anybody who's trying to cover this song but the stones Mick Jagger's voice on this yeah man I agree it would take something damn special to top that original
one of those songs that sends chills up and down my spine... then warren goes and melts my face. what a great performance to have experienced live
Listening to this never gets old.

I never get tired of this song,,
Awesome rendition of an old classic. Warren does it again!
Damn awesome! Everything he does turns too gold!
Love his voice !!!!
Saw Mule about 2 wks ago in Columbia S.C. Good show , Warrens a beast , nothing he can't play..He teams up with the best of the best..
Unbelievable beautiful cover of one of my favourite songs by Stones.
Warren has a fantastic voice who almost fit every great song in the world.

These guys are just BAD ASS!!!

I am upset that he is leaving the Allman Brothers, but glad to see him move forward.
Peace & Love.
Woof & Woof!!
What a great cover Warren!!!
Agree......just damn. Wow. Thank you Warren.
Warren is so incredible. The Mule kills it!
great version of a great song
Man he pulls off this with out sounding like a bar band from hell. Perfect timing.
Angie must be one helluva a woman. Both the Stones and Warren sing quite beautifully about her.
That's the bassist, he played in a band with Matt Abts that toured for a few shows on the East Coast.
craaazy man wtf, my brain is all over my room!
Beautiful
Hello Teresa,

Was there... period!
niesamowity ,,cieply,, cover...wspaniały...
that wurlitzer sounds like honey
Great Warren! ♥️
Hello Silvia,

great quality
I cried
Great song great job 👏
Lindo som..
this is amazing. the best version I've heard is from an irish band called "aslan" on the album "made in Dublin" I think it's better than the original.
me aul jazzer
I like the vocals here better. Jagger over mispronounces words to sound "southern".
still miss you A.
Warren Haynes is breathtaking....wow ....
His voice

Wow, that's the way a ha a ha I like it
What, no guitar solo???
@deadhead831 his name is Jorgen Carlsson
I’ve heard it said, when the mule covers your song, it ain’t your song any more.
Michael Miller, ya God Damned Right ❤️!
....and, I don't like talking that way... Just Only common since Answer to ya Awesome Comment that makes sense to me...fr
You know what I’m talkin about!
Warren is the man ! Better than Mick and the Stones.
Tommy Pritchett I wonder why they do so many covers. must be lost for talent and they suck at every one I've heard
@@timf913 You must be deaf
nice
i know right :)
Warren can do Anything!!!
Beautiful song about heroine
Chris Myers no it isn't. It's also not about Bowie's wife. It was written by Richards and it's not about his daughter, Angela either. It just happened.
Paul Ill on the bass maybe?
Dude its Paul ILL
Anybody other than him or Jagger or maybe Stapleton
Would have sounded creepy during the whispering part
Maybe Axl couks get by with it...lol
thats not jorgen on bass
Govt Mule for anyone who has not seen the. Besr show. ni whether you are young or old will have a unique experiance go bye
Warren Haynes covers everybody better then the originals. Check out cover of Gold Dust Woman with Grace Potter. Way better then Fleetwood Mac.
e x a c t l y ! if all the bands stop playing and warren doesn't, no harm done...
