  • welcome back to the channel, today we are doing a brilliant and simple task that anyone can do, silver birch tapping.

    Really good video 👍 don’t have the birch in my area, we have a sugar maple some people tap those.Camp still holding up real nice 👍

    Hi I like ur vids but this one is a bit of a downer for me plz dnt use rusted items to drill in the trees plz use very clean items as there’s a lot less chance of cause a tree infection etc and remember u can just use a bottle with the end of the brand snapped off to collect the sap to u dnt need to drill every tree plug with wax after is very important to stop and after infections to. So the branch piece u put in to fill the whole should be flush or just inside the trunk then add a bees 🐝 wax cover over the top this prevent all those of infections to the tree

      We did put wax over the hole at the end but we just forgot to film it. Also the drill bit was clean thanks for your advice

      @@thebushcraftskillschannel3742 ok but that drill bit did not look clean in any way should be shiny silver tbh. As also u may have cleaned it when drilling it in bits of the old rust etc will get caught and come off in the tree causing infections good to hear u waxed it but did u trim the branch back u used as a plug back so it was flush to before waxing
