This is a recap of the best photos and clips of May and June 2022! Back on Monday with a new episode.
I was wondering why I kept seeing loads of videos I’ve already seen haha

@@JustRolledIn lol
These recap videos are great because all of your content is definitely re-watch material!
@@JustRolledIn as I have said to you many of times, I don't know what's worse, customers doing wiring jobs from hell or the fact people are dumb enough to completely fill the engine oil up to the oil cap. But the customers friend who added oil to the coolant needs to stay away from cars in general.
6:42 What sort of idiot puts clear tape over their tire like that?
It's a Tesla wheel, they needed to use electrical tape.
What kind of idiot? A retard , that kind
Nice solid reply 🤦🤡💪👍👍👍🍻
Good one 👍
You need to rethink that. He should have used Flex-Seal!!

Those air filters with the plastic still on them are why we have warnings on all plastic bags about the suffocation hazard
They need those warnings for suffocating cars too

The tail gate falling open when shutting the door made me outright giggle.
LMAO I straight up had that happen with out 2009 dodge ram work truck. Pissed me right the F off! Especially when it happened in front of a cop as i went of tracks!
When I was a teenager my mother had a car where the windows rolled down every time you closed the door.
@@celticphoenix2579Was it german car?
I've had same issues. The wiring harness VAG uses for doors gets flaky over time.
@jhutt8002 I honestly don't remember the make. We got it second hand and it came with the quirk. That car was so bad even the crooks didn't want it. We left it one night with the doors unlocked, windows down and keys in the ignition in an effort to get it stolen. No dice lol.
Happens to mine. Its because he has a lower trim and the mechanisms are plastic. Plastic froze and broke in the winter. Gotta close the tailgate oldschool style.
9:13 That turtle will have one hell of a story to tell his friends.
"The customer ended up cutting out a piece of the frame." and "The customer drilled a hole in their brake booster." are two sentences that I understood right the first, but still replayed two more times being like "wutttt?". I like the Ferrari giving that 70s farmers pick up truck interior experience.
I have to admit its the first time I've seen a beater Ferrari.
So many unanswered questions about the Ferrari
First thought that came to mind was stolen Ferrari.
It should be illegal to treat a Ferrari like that. WTF are they even...who does that? I don't care if it's a stolen car, it's a damn shame

More likely someone shot at his wheel while he was driving during road rage and he didn't want to report the incident.
Unless they're pointing it at their own face at the time, then both the issue of whether they should have ownership and them possibly polluting the human gene pool are both resolved.
Yeah, maybe we should have laws to prevent this... Could have gotten someone killed.
There are more people killed by drunk driving and crashing than by gun's😂
The little pat pat the mechanic gave the air filter, at the ATV was really funny. xD 5:35

Every vehicle owner should be required to watch this channel 👍
Car owners really only need to know about brakes and oil changes, most people sell theirs cars before having to change or fix anything else
@@Scythe_Voltage no thats B.S. excuse. You should have some knowledge to know when its a job for a Tech and when to STOP LYING about what happened. Your comment is so insane like seriously? Ppl should just ignore everything? No they should FOLLOW the matinence schedule in the owners manual and AT LEAST be familiar with simple functions of a car. Attitudes like yours is WHY this channel has so much content
I will agree with you Yes some of the videos on this channel should be shown during Drivers Education, and if you think about it even further way back in the day when cars were still the newest things out there the owners manual actually told you how to do timing and adjust the valve springs and stuff like that, now when you open the hood of a car there are more warnings about don't touch when hot and don't do this or that.
With the stupid shit I've seen myself, I absolutely agree.
Wouldn't help these types of owners.
The car with no gas in it, still makes me laugh. 😂
We had that at the garage I done work experience in. It was one of the owners car, turned out the fuel gauge was faulty. Nobody working on it thought to check the petrol until about 2 hours in.
@@delta250a That happened to me with my father in laws old car, gas gauge wasn’t working. Lol
$50 in gas plus one hours labor!
I had experience with this when I had a roommate we went to help his mother TWICE and she was out of gas.. When I was at work 12 years later someone said this car needs a jump, it was a ways away and I could hear it turning over... I asked is it a woman driving .. they said yes .. I said it is out of gas.. sorry ladies and yes i was right. Oh and 1/4 tank is empty fill it up when it hits 1/4 tank!
probably thought he had a chevy volt and didn't need gas lol...
2:20 Not what I expected by “his brakes are shot” 😂😂
"ok we'll put new pads in, makes sure everything is work-"
"No I mean shot. As in with a gun. My gun in fact..."
My favourite has to be the guy who drilled a hole through his vacuum brake booster to run a cable. I wonder what he would have done if the engine block was in the way?
Drill a hole using a longer drill bit, sure thing!.
drill through it...then wonder why he had a bunch of fluid coming out of it.
Tunes are more important than the car! Would've spent a week boring a hole through the block so he got his tunes. F* the car (which only cost $1200, but each rim & tire cost $1450)
Gonna need a bigger drill.
"Nah, we don't need this"
*pulls out piston to make room for amp wire*
I worked at a small engine repair shop for ten years. Seen customers "improve" things. Usually these improvements occurred when a brother in law and alcohol were involved.
I bet often in combination
@@TheRadioknight I had a guy bring in an off road go cart. ATV tires, big motor etc...The CVT belt drive and other parts had crescent shaped indentations. Customer didn't know how they got there. Funny how the bottom of a 5 lb mason's hammer fit those marks. $600 in parts to replace the improvements made by customer using a hammer.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
*Any in law or relative with alcohol and or mj involved...🤣🤣🤣
It always astonishes me that people will go to a shop before even looking at their car. They hear one noise and drive straight to shop without grabbing a second hand to help them listen from outside the car or atleast just looking around to see that they have a 3 foot long log stuck in the control arm of your truck 😂
I worked as a mechanic for 35 years and thought I had seen it all.
Not even close. Love this channel!
I'm glad I got out of it professionally when I did. Still did some work on my own and seen a lot, but a lot of this is mind boggeling.
Had one call me up to see why his new 350 engine install wouldn't start. Opened the hood and immediately noticed the fuel line connected to the bottom vacuum port on his new Edelbrock carb. Gave him my advice to follow to keep the engine safe from harm. He didn't follow it and engine lasted about 500 miles.
His father had classic car collection. Dumped about 2 gal of gas down the carb to get it going, cause he thought it wasn't getting any. Filled the crank case. Gave him the same advice I did to his son. But like son like father. that engine lasted about a 1000 miles. This one turned out to be the carb was already flooding over into the intake. He just added to the problem.
Those 2 kept me busy for years, until my divorce.
They loved duct tape too.
@@festersmith8352 Yeah, the business is the pits nowadays. I feel for the guys getting into the business.
Out of them, I loved the brake job on the boat trailer with 50 lbs of red grease on everything including the rotors. Nice.
Maybe the mobile mechanic was just making sure no unnecessary friction would occur ;)
Seriously, what level of moron was that mobile "mechanic"? His tools need to be confiscated ASAP!
I REALLY couldn't grasp the concept of what in the FUCK he was trying to accomplish there.... 😕
This grease build up happens a lot when people use bearing buddy's. The grease pressure blows out the bearing seals, then people just keeping pumping grease into them. I'm sure the mechanic did a fine brake job, then the mechanic or owner did the grease packing.
Bearing buddies are bad news!
@@festersmith8352 Bearing Buddy's aren't a complete waste of time, as long as someone doesn't pump an entire tube of grease into it. A pump here or there isn't a bad thing, but a guy had BETTER keep track of how much he pumps in, in between actually disassembling and performing a real service and inspection to the bearings.
That K&N filter worked so well it even filtered out the air!
I had a roommate wrap his leaking tire in duct tape. The WHOLE tire...duct taped. He said he didn't feel like putting the spare on. It's hilarious to picture this +6 ft., 250 lbs. man-child sitting on a crate next to his jacked up Grand Am, spinning that wheel to wrap it. Wearing flip flops, no doubt. No, it didn't work and it never left the driveway like that because I put his spare on. It's a bit un-nerving to know that vehicles like these are on the highways. Even more so knowing these idiots are operating them. Stay safe out there, everyone. Thanks for the video!
What if his whole plan was to get you to put the spare on? :P
@@GaldirEonai I'm sure it was as that was my job at the time. I was working in my dad's tire shop. I took it to work the next day and put a set of tires on it. He paid my wages that week. I hate that he wasted all the duct tape, though. LOL
it wouldn’t save him any time at all anyway cuz he’d have to jack up the car anyway and more than likeley take it off and put it back on. what a fucking tard!
It never ceases to amaze me the amount of work and effort people put into half assing something instead of just doing it right... Sounds like your roommate did a lot more work than just changing the damn tire
The spare can cause damage to cars if one wheel is a lot more worn out than the spare. It can be especially damaging to modern 4x4 systems. I don't blame him.
The thing I think of most when watching these videos is that these people are out on the road with the rest of us. Makes you feel safe out there doesn't it??
Yeah it really does, a bunch of vehicles are one pot hole away from falling apart.
I’m from Pennsylvania and we have to have our vehicles inspected once a year. Growing up in the 60’s and 70’s it used to be twice a year. Actually I think all states should have all vehicles ; cars especially, inspected every 4 months. Yeah I know , everyone will be bitching that they don’t have the time but too bad
@@Retired88MYou Should take A GOOD LOOK at How it's Done in Europe. EVERY CAR MUST HAVE A YEARLY INSPECTION. You'll Never see ANY CARS that look like Any of these Death traps.Yes, like you said, these INSPECTION MUST be Done to get this Junk off the Road.

I’ve been slowly teaching myself about cars for years now through friends that are mechanics. And I see these videos and think to myself “thank god I’m not this stupid”
I’m surprised some of these people can even tie their shoes, kinda crazy to think that there are people this dumb among us

I came looking for this comment
11:16 that might actually be ok.
I've seen several smaller, light duty machines that use grease as lubricant for power take offs and drivetrain boxes. When warm it will flow better than in that clip and it looks pretty clean. Its common practice to pump grease into tiller chain boxes when the lower seals give out and the oil is gone.....never had one fail yet with grease in it!
Accidentally blowing up the trash can has got to be the best bit. 😂😂😂
The best bit was one of the employees running for the exits and not offering any assistance! 😄
7:45 - "I know what's wrong with it! It ain't go no gas in it!"
Great videos. I made some stupid mistakes trying to do maintenance myself. Lessons learned in life.
How the flying hell do people overfill their engine by not a quart but by something like 25 quarts... did nothing feel off when comparing the amount coming out to the amount going in?
Because most people are practically retarded, seriously. Not many people know jack sht about sht anymore because they just pay someone else to fix it for them
Or wonder why they are bought in quarts, instead of gallon jugs? Regardless of what you're filling with what, putting in 30 packages should make you wonder if you're doing something that isn't intended.
I dunno, but my mom took her Lexus RX300 to a Lexus dealership and the tech put in oil without... checking it. There was 2x the amount of oil then it should've had. She wrote a letter to Lexus and I don't recall, but I'm pretty sure that tech was fired. (I think it was a courtesy service with the new car or something like that?)
A bloke at my work changed his own engine oil. He said it took him forever. He filled it back up through the dipstick tube.
WAIL I figgurd the way 'at thang burns thru awl, it'd take a whal fer it to git thru thurty corts. Gimme a chance t'rest a whal innyhow. And they tode me I needed brains to be a mechanic!
Watching these videos are both educating and terrifying. Educating on what never to do and terrifying that someone actually had it happen/did it/etc.
And terrifying that these things are driving around next to us on the highway
2:35 good thing he was turning into a lot and not on the highway going 75- oh wait sorry, no one ever follows the speed laws- while going 120 mph.
I am absolutely baffled how someone can ignore the dashboard to a point that they bring their car to repair before they even check that they simply have no fuel
That K & N filter reminded me of the time my ex sister-in-law cooked a frozen pizza while still in the plastic wrap because the instructions didn't say to take it off. She was quite the tool. My brother is lucky she is gone.

@2:42. the 2.4L overfilled by 30 quarts. That's nuts.
And they never stopped to think "man this is taking a lot of oil and is costing way more than an oil change down the street".
I had a Chevy Cruze roll into the shop with a similar problem, the car had a small oil leak and the owner kept adding a quart every other day until he filled the engine so much it would no longer run. Drained that oil out (guessing 20+qts in an engine that holds 4) and Holy Smoke Cloud Batman!

In my 25 year career I have come across many hack jobs from techs that have no business working on vehicles. That being said, the 2 words any good techs hate hearing the most are "Ever Since." I was always tripped out by peoples custom wiring, it amazes me that people know how to wire things up but instead of running it cleanly they just stretch it across somewhere completely exposed and tacky looking.. Never seen them cut slots into intakes or drill hole through brake boosters before though........
I remember seeing a car where the kid ran his amp wire through the bay, unfused (of course), and the wire was about 3" deep into the passenger seat after it lightsabered its way in. No grommet, loom, nothing.
I was amazed at the custom foglights one, guy actually pulled a better wiring job than the electricians my local walmart hired.
Those "slots" on the intake piping was caused by the wire shorting out (and no fuse) getting VERY hot, almost causing a car fire. Would have served him right for being so stupid.
