  • In this video, we demystify the process of filing VA claims and clarify how many claims you can file simultaneously. Understanding this is crucial for veterans seeking VA disability benefits.
    Key Points Covered
Intent to File: You can only have one active intent to file at a time. This ensures that your claim is processed efficiently and without confusion.
VA Form 21-526EZ: Similar to the intent to file, you can only have one VA Form 21-526EZ active at any given moment.
Combining Claims: If you attempt to open an additional claim while another is active, the VA will combine them into a single, comprehensive claim. This helps streamline the process but can sometimes lead to delays if not managed correctly.
Exceptions: There are certain circumstances where the VA may allow you to file multiple claims at once, such as for related disabilities or if filing under different programs.
Prioritizing Claims: It's important to prioritize which claims are most urgent and need to be filed first. This can help expedite the process and ensure that your most critical needs are addressed promptly.
    Additional Information
VA disability benefits cover a wide range of injuries and illnesses that veterans may have acquired during their service. These benefits provide financial support for both physical and mental conditions that impact a veteran's daily life.

I filed last yr for ptsd. I ets'd in 1990. I've been suffering for yrs. I started watching you a couple of yrs ago. I wasnt sure if i could relive experiences that I thought I had buried. After my c&p, the decision to rate me at 70% was decided within three days. Now I'm trying to add hypertension as a secondary. Thanks so much for the videos and encouragement

So the dumb question, let’s say I put 10 disabilities on one intent to file and 5 get approved, then do I start getting paid while my HLR, or appeal are pending for the ones that were denied?

I filed for PTSD almost 2 years ago. The higher level reviewer told me to file for tinnitus and I got it 2 months later. My duty to assist error has been going for 5 months and I think it will be over a year on that.

I add newer conditions or increases (that are not currently in Supplemental, HLR, or Board level). The VBA just combines all of the initial claims, but it does restart the clock and makes the process longer. (They also combine supp or HLR if you resubmit at those levels)

Do I take the same medical evidence that I sent to your med team? Also, when I go to my CMP exam, should I take my Nexus letters that I got from the med team?

Hey Craig, I really enjoy your content! Random question.
Do you think this Project 2025 propaganda will affect VA disability ratings?

Ok if I started an intent to file then finished and submitted 6 months later and it took 5 months to come back with a rating does my
Pay backdate to 5 months or 11 total?
