Seems one of the difference between them is the mentality. LKY does his best to recover and up his defense while NTM had already given up half way through the opponent's smashes...
the linesmen were biased. this is a very poor showing for vietnam as the host of an impartial global international event. many of the very obvious on-the-line shots by LKY were called out. vietnamese should be ashamed of themselves. yes you want your own countryman to win but this is not the way. even if he won, it wont be fair. is it really a true victory? no. theres still a long way to go for badminton esp for hosts in these developing countries where corruption is rife.
We cannot know wht happened there. He may make pressure on the line umpire but maybe he just desperately look at the umpire to hear the result. The commentator said that its not the main thing to win anymore. In the end, Tiến Minh is now 40 years old and LKY is still at his prime.
Yes sadly there is a lot of corruption with high level badminton. Even just the clothing colours. Players get 'selected' to win. Provided the skill level is similar, players with red shirts have a huge edge, followed by white/yellow. It's colour psychology. The effect is magnified further due to the fast pace of badminton. The effects on other sports have already been scientifically proven. If you have seen hundreds of top level matches like I have you will see a very clear pattern emerging regarding clothing colours and wins.
im very annoyed with TMN's sportsmanship. he keeps looking at the linesman like those shots werent in? they were clearly in and catching the lines. LKY was just very in form and accurate that day. TMN's questioning the linesman and putting pressure on them like theyre making the wrong call is very bad sportsmanship. like a sore loser. just admit ure not as good and get back to training.

92 shots?

What we can say is that LKY had a very good match

the vietnamese side's swing looks so...off. unorthodox technique doesn't seem very powerful. and his footwork is not on the same level
he's 40yrs old bro
He was already 38 years old at the time, too old to be same level as a young guy. However, has had highest rank of 5 in the era of LCW and Lin Dan.
young lads, NTM is old era.
@@BLaCkHeLLMaXIIX he still play nowaday cuz he still loves badminton
this is basic dude.

lol. now he retired man :))
@@GivemeBanana-or3jv doesn’t matter. It’s still important to call a spade a spade, and call out bad sportsmanship
Not really a loser if he won
Why did NTM keep on giving the shots that the opponent (LKY) wanted?
Yeah, that his style, rally game, he can't adjust
