US government is violating multiple parts of the bill of rights routinely. I do not agree with this. I would back mass criminal charges for everyone involved, which means significant fractions of 3 letter agencies, police force, DAs, and judges in jail...basically anybody involved with civil forfeiture, unlawful search, selective prosecution, failure to prosecute these acts, or committing illegal acts as law enforcement (warrantless entry etc).
However, aside from voting, I currently have no means to change the corruption; any attempt to do more than speak against it would involve me going to jail instead of criminals who routinely commit crimes. Alternative measures only become viable when there are enough people who can't continue their current livelihoods any longer; when risking one's life is actually an attractive proposition. It does not appear we're anywhere near that, so the corruption and decline continues (and on a historical scale, it's still relatively great right now for the median person, so this makes sense despite the frustration).
China is getting closer to that lately too, even more so than with USA. Longer hours, but especially a horrific demographic crisis with no obviously available solution. The Chinese population won't suddenly adopt western values with an overthrow, but they also will certainly not act on values aligned to the CCP 1:1. They would do well do adopt the aspects of the west that have worked well, while avoiding the pitfalls. They will try. No nation has ever succeeded forever, though.

Im a student of economics and have the following general observations on the Chinese economy. 1. It grew too fast drawing out farm workers from the rural areas into the urban areas where construction and factory work increased their incomes and purchasing power. 2. It developed its industrial consumer goods export sector with lower costs of production but it forgot to develop and attract investments in their agricultural sector where returns were much lower. 3. The industrial export sector is initially attractive but susceptible to market fluctuations due to increasing labor costs, technology and even geopolitical developments like sanctions. 4. As the industrial export sector slowed down, domestic incomes and purchasing power slowed down resulting in recession attested by factory closures. 5. The farm workers who moved over to the industrial sector and tasted urban life are no longer interested in returning to work in the agricultural sector 6. The Chinese economy is therefore facing domestic labor unrest, economic slowdown and food supply problems which will become worse before it gets better. Will starting a war resolve China's problems?

On June 21, the Chinese Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Security, and the Supreme People's Court of China held a joint press conference to announce "Opinions on punishing diehards who advocate Taiwan as an independent country according to law and commit crimes of secession and inciting secession." The definition of a country is vague, but once convicted by China, the maximum penalty is the death penalty. China's move is intended to transform Taiwan into Hong Kong, put pressure on Taiwan, and even engage in legal battles to intimidate Taiwanese.

PLA and billion people of China for sure would be starving. China must choose going to war or peace. The point I’m making is that we need to be looking to our own problems instead of going around and trying to pick fights where they’re unnecessary. If you’re unaware of how hellbent much of our government is on “empire building,” then I’d suggest you do some research. If China wants to pick a fight that’s one thing, but our government is the one that’s going around picking fights and starting wars when there’s no need to do so. Just look at Ukraine, and if you don’t know why I say that, then do some research. Russia’s attack on Ukraine wasn’t “unprovoked.” Open your eyes and educate yourself. Tens of thousands of Ukrainians and Russians (and many Americans and individuals of other nationalities, too) would be alive today if our government had kept their nose out of the region. Smarten up, and educate yourself. I want our government to represent us, not every other country BUT us. Back in the early aughts I deployed overseas, first to “allied countries” and then to the Middle East, and I saw FIRSTHAND just how much the rest of the world DESPISES US. And I’m not talking about our legitimate enemies, I’m talking about our so-called allies. I’m talking about being in a so-called “allied country” but being told to wear civvies and go with at least two other guys out in public (as if they couldn’t tell we were American) because the local “allies” harbored such animosity towards us… you speak of which you have absolutely no understanding. America is the most strategically secure country in the world. Not only do we have a strong military. But we have 3000 miles of ocean in every direction between ourselves and our major enemies. China is surrounded by enemies. They are totally dependent on Seaborn trade for oil, food, trade, fertilizer, a lot of other stuff. In a war with anybody, it would be a simple matter to shut down international shipping via the ocean to China
One other aspect of China’s strategic edition is the three gorges dam which they are very proud of .
Fortunately, the damn is a Achilles heel. If someone destroyed that damn it would flood about 400 million people and a lot of their best farmland.

TBH in my opinion the CCP and the Russia when it was the Soviet union couldn't hold themselves back from showing their newest and best things. While the US and Nato countries typically don't share the actual newest things, unless it's like an aircraft carrier. You can't really hide that lol

      That's stupidly piss poor logic.
The CCP is a belligerent governance. As such they ALWAYS boast about their endeavours to the extent they lie massively.
So if they had something worth shouting about you'd know.
      Sorry you can't fathom that.

China can't afford a war, ha. Taiwan is in their backyard. Every good military leader knows you don't fight a war in someone's backyard. And, who says that the USA 🇺🇸 can win? I am a Vietnam War Veteran 1966-67, so this is my say to you.

@@johnbethea4505I don't think the USA sent everything they have into Afghan right? Probably best not to even call that a war just a few garrisoned bases that engage with Taliban every so often right? And it's the age of drone warfare now so you need to stop thinking about war conventionally.
