Mave my dearest brother, you have the charisma, the capacity to not only spark life in what in reality is a journey filled with horror except the little breathing spaces you wrestlers got when overseas but the grace to present that window into the world of the WWE in a contented and joyful manner. Honestly, even Austin or Dwayne-The Rock would not present such a positive and optimistic window into the world of Vincent Kennedy McMahon and his empire. If the WWE managed everything like travel, food, accommodation - - Even BnB would suffice, I would say that a lot of the misery, suffering and stress would be spared as all this could be delegated so that the entertainment performers may be able to lead a life onwards of the WWE which is positive and healthy which then the WWE can exploit for whitewashing their empire and for publicity but at least the entertainment performers can benefit from. Look at Brock Lesnar who wrestles a handful of times in a year but still is a top draw and earner. I genuinely thought for a long time that the images that I saw in the WWE book-type-magazines from 2002-2004 where all the wrestlers were in a long black bus 🚍 and travelling together was the norm and that the wrestlers were solely focused on the action, storyline, gyming and had the support of being with all the other comrades as a replacement for being away from the family and friends so that after the performance everyone could chill out back at the motel and have each other to confide in. I draw this analogy in good faith rather than insult that the WWE travelling and wrestlers are more like a moving circus or like gypsies who may be deprived of a permanent place of residence but have the blessing of being united as a group living, not only working, living coherently. Yeah in regular/monthly shows the wrestlers will find out in the same day of the match. But in PPV’S wrestlers will find out like, 1/2 MONTHS before the match occurs in practice.
On the weekly and house shows, that probably what happens. But on Championship matches, those are mostly planned ahead, especially the top world championships. For example, before Superstar Billy Graham won the WWWF title from Bruno Sammartino, he was told exactly when he was going to drop the belt to Bob Backlund at MSG, which was about a year ahead of time.

Maven really does seem like the kinda guy you could go to a bar with to have a few drinks with and play some pool while just talking about wrestling all night. Could listen to his stories all day.
Unfortunately, I wasn't familiar with Maven's career since I didn't follow wrestling during the Attitude/Ruthless Aggression era, missing out on some fantastic moments. My wrestling fandom was strong during the Golden Era, with favourites like Warrior, Hogan, Hacksaw, and Bulldog, but it waned around 1998. By pure accident, I found myself watching again during the early days of the PG era. Maven, though, I stumbled upon him on this RUclips channel and have since delved into his matches and interviews on the WWE network and RUclips. He's truly impressive, not just in the ring but as a likable human being, and I'm delighted to have discovered this channel!
@@suavelife I know! I've watched plenty on the WWE Network, but nothing can truly replace the excitement of experiencing those moments as they happened. @zayalv54 No, he said he was around for the golden Era, wrestlemanias 1 thru 6. Attitude Era is a close second I think. They are COMPLETELY different but both awesome!!
I haven’t been the biggest fan of wrestling in years, but I’m definitely a big fan of Maven’s content. You’re doing an excellent job, man. Keep it up! 👍
I absolutely love the fact he is printing out stuff and then using it as a prop. It just feels so much more real and engaging than showing all of this on a tablet screen would be.
This is great content. Respectful. Entertaining. Open and honest without being exploitive. Stories and details you don't hear everywhere else. Good job Maven and team!
Man Mave you're killing it!! Just great content. I was a fan of WWF / WWE as a kid and I'm reliving it now through my 8-year-old son who is a huge fan. Good for you dude! Keep producing these informative videos, and I’ll keep watching them…
It goes to show that what a professional in entertainment does is such a high bar even the worst guy in a professional league is light years ahead of the avg Joe. One guy considered the worst NBA player cooked some regular joe like 23-2 and said I'm closer to LeBron James than you are to me in skill. Very true and maven left a ton of potential on the table
Which is a crying shame because he worked and had great matches with some of the absolute legends in the business during his time.
This guy is a breath of fresh air.
🙏🏽 thank you so much

Maven, my dude. This channel you got here is an absolute masterpiece. I could listen to you talk about your experience on the road with WWE for hours. It’s really nice to hear first hand experience in such depth. Thank you for what you do, Maven.
Best channel by a wrestler by far. Love how Mav is honest, never puts anyone "under the mat/bus"
I'm actually glad that Maven jumped on my recommends section. It is really entertaining to watch those videos and no surprise he exploded so quickly and gained so much attention. He talks, he is transparent. Wish him only the best.
Maven! The dude with the sickest dropkick 🔥
Him and Orton ofc

This is genuinely good content, been watching every single video from Maven and been waiting for new ones constantly, keep it up my man.
This guy looks like a pharaoh
I really thought he was the pharaoh from the mummy
Could've been an okay gimmick to pair up against Gangrel, Undertaker, Kane, etc during the 90s!!
Yeah i think he is like egyptian
@@hipolitomorales3184like or is?
He does!
Triple H gave you your 1st pair of wrestling boots?! That's huge! Major respect to the guy!
Triple H also made A VERY RARE APPEARANCE at Sunday night heat just to fight this guy. That shows how much potential maven had that time
I was under the impression he was a dick IRL (HHH), but apparently I was wrong.
HHH worked Heat in 98, 99, and 00 too. Defended the title against Hardcore in January 2000 and fought Saturn in October of 2000 on Heat. @@creydadj
Literally everyone says that Triple HHH is extremely professional and hard-working.
Maven you are the man. Thank you for your transparency and honesty and the behind the scenes insight.
Congratulations on 100k!!!!! Damn that was fast. Two months! What a boss! Great job to your whole team. You all have it down to a science as to what people want. That and your humility is key!

@@MavenKHuffman keep killing good sir! Enjoy your second act!
Best behind the scene wrestling, you can tell he's true, humble, respectful and shoots from the hip, can't wait for more
Thank you for these videos. I just found your channel and binged the lot. I was a fan of your work in the ring, and you are a very compelling person to watch discussing the ins and outs of the industry. Between you and Stevie, you guys are killing it with the details of the WWE and wrestling in general. You've answered a lot of questions I've had, and adding your own personal stories not only lends to those answers, but also makes your videos so much more engaging. Really appreciate your time.
Thank you Maven you are a legend in our eyes, thank you for breaking some of the most popular questions down we really appreciate that! You are a star bro, I can actually imagine what it's like being on the road in such clear detail as if I was there by the way you described the experience! Keep on creating brother, these days a new Maven video is one of the top highlights of my week!
Damn bruh u missed the best eras
@@suavelife I know! I've watched plenty on the WWE Network, but nothing can truly replace the excitement of experiencing those moments as they happened. I missed out on The Rock, Steve Austin, Kane, and more, but I'm grateful that platforms like the WWE Network and RUclips allow me to see those iconic moments.
I left as well. Once Vince bought WCW, I said thank you very much, I'm done w wrestling.
@zayalv54 No, he said he was around for the golden Era, wrestlemanias 1 thru 6. Attitude Era is a close second I think. They are COMPLETELY different but both awesome!!
@Cjjjj902 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for that
I haven’t been the biggest fan of wrestling in years, but I’m definitely a big fan of Maven’s content. You’re doing an excellent job, man. Keep it up! 👍
I absolutely love the fact he is printing out stuff and then using it as a prop. It just feels so much more real and engaging than showing all of this on a tablet screen would be.
Yeah a whole nother channel has been doing this exact same thing for quite a while now. Down to the exact same board setup
This is great content. Respectful. Entertaining. Open and honest without being exploitive. Stories and details you don't hear everywhere else. Good job Maven and team!
Maven gives some great insights on the business and they really help us understand common questions in pro wrestling. Thanks
This dude answers all my questions at the back of my brain unapologetically and im here for it
Man Mave you're killing it!! Just great content. I was a fan of WWF / WWE as a kid and I'm reliving it now through my 8-year-old son who is a huge fan. Unfortunately I stopped following wrestling at one point in life and missed your years but your content is great and you're answering questions I've always wondered about.
Way to be real about the business and respect it!!
The absolute best channel from a former wrestler I've seen. Straight to the point, no bullshit. Thank you sir, your videos have been interesting and insightful, respect!
I love this content! This and Steven Richards' channels are the best wrestling behind the scenes channels I've come across. Sure, Maven didn't have THAT long of a career with the WWE but what is important to me is that he was a fan first and then a wrestler. He doesn't come out as the company man but is genuinely honest and transparent!
What I love about Mavens RUclips channel is those of us who originally watched tough enough got to see his journey on becoming a WWE superstar, we got to see him during his run as a WWE Superstar and now we get to see what's going on now.
My man is putting more work in his RUclips than his whole WWF/WWE career!
lame ass comment. do better next time ok?
I'll be honest I was never a fan of Maven. But I really like his channel, best wrestling related channel on RUclips for me. Keep up the great work Maven.
I'm the same. I didn't mind Maven, was happy for him to be there. But I didn't pay attention to him. But I'm LOVING Maven the RUclipsr. Got a great voice, a personality that shines through, seems genuine and happy. It's such a refreshing, fun and informative channel.

Keep doing these videos Maven. Love watching them, very insightful and humble.
20 years later just getting a perspective from Maven is awesome. Good to see you're doing well, Maven. Keep on being awesome, brother!
Love your channel Maven! Fondly remember the “good ole days” when wrestling was must see tv. Glad to see you impart your time and knowledge/stories in WWE. Look forward to another installment!

Same with me I’m turning 20 this year so I wasn’t old enough of course to see him wrestle in WWE at the time but have since and loved the tough enough story and RUclips channel.
I absolutely love listening to Maven's knowledge and the "in's and out's of the wrestling business" A majority would never admit it. Love how Genuine he is and enjoy listening too his stories!...
WWE need to hire this man as a good will embassador. So damn likable.
Calling it now, Maven's RUclips career will match, if not, surpass his WWE career, this is some great content you're putting out. You're a great communicator, and you should also start a podcast.
I’ve been binge-watching your videos the last couple of days. Great stuff. Awesome hearing your stories!
Maven, you are awesome. Videos are so simplistic, yet seem larger than life. You got to live out your dreams and share that with us. Keep em coming.
I’ve really been enjoying Maven’s channel! Hopefully he continues making videos for a long time!
Every new video is TRULY a treat. And, like Chris Van Vliet said, they are all evergreen! Always in demand, Mave!
Love it.
Maven killing it again 🔥🔥 Always cool to hear the inside facts & opinions on everything. Especially that story with the Undertaker and getting color before the Royal Rumble, considering his reaction to hearing you'd eliminate him!
Keep up the good work, Maven. Glad you look and sound well years after taking all those bumps for us!
WWE should pay you royalties for these vids. Some of the best PR they could ask for. Your positive mental attitude is also a huge breath of fresh air. What a gift to be so grateful in a field where lack of fulfillment due to ambition, partying, injuries, etc is so common.
Fellas, I have been LOVING the props in the videos. I'm sure it's not always easy to get or make the props you use, but it adds SO MUCH to the experience. More than I ever thought it would. More creators should follow your lead. Keep up the great work!

Absolutely love the channel! You hit the ground running sir. Would love to see:-
How does wrestling compare then (When Maven was active) to todays product
What gimmicks or moves were protected, I.e. who was precious about others encroaching on their trademark moves or behaviours
Who were your biggest mentors?
What was your first day on the job like?
Who ribbed you? And what were the best ribs?
Who were your companions on the road between shows?
What fued or run with another wrestler was your favourite and why?
Who was the hardest wrestler to win over back stage? Or hard to warm to
How much control did you have over your direction creatively speaking?
What is your proudest moment, match or achievement?
Did you keep in touch with any Luther contestants from the show?
Hope you can touch on some of these topics in future videos.
Otherwise looking forward to what is to come.

Found ur channel last week and I’ve been watching a ton of ur vids. I have regained my love for WWE. Lost it cause my grandfather passed and me and him watched every smackdown and raw show from 2005-2016 religiously
You mention Al Snow towards the end. His cousin was my childhood neighbor. We lived out in the country and every fall, our little neighborhood would have a hog roast. Al would always show up. This is the first time I've heard of blading cause I've never bothered to research it. Man, that's brutal.. I had always guessed that the blood came from some kind of fake blood packet covered with prosthetics or something. The dives from the top of the hell in a cell matches always had me wondering how they took the impact as well. Great insight.
