Even though he’s in the HOF, Art Monk doesn’t get the attention he deserves because he wasn’t flashy and was just a quiet pro. One of the greatest possession receivers in NFL history.
and how many players in or not in sports' Halls of Fame dont get the attention or recognition they deserve? how could fans pay attention to every great player ever?

This was a pivotal time in Redskins history - the end of the Joe Theismann / John Riggins era and the beginning of the Jay Schroeder / George Rogers era. Jay Schroeder doesn't get much ballyhoo when it comes time to remember great Redskins quarterbacks - everyone focuses on QBs like Joe Theismann, Mark Rypien and Doug Williams, but in reality Jay Schroeder was one of the great quarterbacks of the Washington Redskins, he won many games for us and was a big reason for helping us go to Superbowl XXII. His tenure in Washington may not have been the most memorable, and he may not be in the Washington Redskins 90 greatest players of all time, but he should be.
This guy threw so many interceptions. He was not great by any means. Serviceable is really the way to describe him. He was a good athlete but made as many bad throws as spectacular throws.
@@gerrypeet4861 agreed he was fun to watch when he was in full swing but made way too many mistakes to be called great or even good common now rypien wasn't very accurate tbh just had 1 great season but when you win it all that's all that is needed
That old broken stadium had character - crazy Redskin fans could make the press box shake. Saw the Rams - Bills game last night and the crowd sounded bored, even before the game got out of hand.
A rare Bengals visit to DC

He definitely should be. He gets a bad rap. Especially during that Americas Game 1987. They let Doug Williams cut him to shreds.
That's Hollywood for you, somebody has to be the bad guy or else it'd be a boring story

@@shanetrimble9265 the whole team cut him to shreds. He was an ass.
Thanks for posting this. I was at this game and remember the Darrell Green punt return being called back. Great game
Love these videos music ads to it
9:10 Darrell Green
Former Maryland star Boomer Esiason
NFL uniforms used to be great.
They were tights now
this would be the Bengals last game at Washington until 2004 and last of three at RFK

The US Marshals game
