Absolutely love my 1880, 54” mid mower and loader. Got it primarily to mower but to be a mule when need. In my first six months, it’s help with taking care of 12 large trees, moving a large load of dirt, pulled up some old small stumps and grading where the trees were.
Things that make this tractor is turning radius, fits in tight spaces, 4x4 with low, locking differential and quick change loader and mower deck.

Never had any problems with my 1880 including the slightly smaller tires. The power this little orange monster has will surprise you.

I just decided to purchase the 1880 and started getting cold feet, as we haven't taken delivery yet, thinking I'd need the hp of the 2380. I keep telling myself that I have less than an acre of land. I don't need the price of the 2380, and now I can't wait to get my new Kubota! Thanks for this video!

No matter what size you’ll get, you’ll want more. So go bigger than you originally planned

I've been running my 1880 bx for 5 years now I'm a heavy equipment operator by trade so I've ran many machines. Imo you made a great choice with the 1880 I love mine it's compact, powerful and versitle. Just don't try and over work it. Take care of it and it'll last a long time. Good luck with it😎😎

Half an acre of land and people are buying a 20 thousand dollar mower. Guess what people u can pay a landscaper for about 7 years for that price. Lol

I just got an 1880 with the front loader, and the box scrapper. So far so good I only have a acre. So mostly I use it for landscaping stuff . I bought some pallets forks for it. Would like to add hydraulic top link and tilt if they have it for this tractor.

The smaller tires reduce the ground clearance by 1” not 2”. 2” diametrically means 1” radially.
Owned a BX1880 for a couple years before moving up to a B2601. Agree with everything you said. The tires were a big downside because there just isn’t many options in the size for the 1880.

Could you compare it in detail to the GR2120 ?

There is no difference in the transmission, axles, gearing and the steering between the 1880 and larger brothers. You absolutely can run the larger tire set from the larger bx. I did just that on my BX1880. The rear wheels are the same you can just change the tires. The front requires both the larger tires and wheels. The only issue I have noticed is that if you are running full speed in high range and 4wd up a steep incline fully loaded with the loader and 600lbs of ballast the motor bogs more than the 23 or 26hp. Otherwise no issue. They even clear the 48inch deck and bagging system.
Also there should be no difference in cycle times on the loader. Hydraulic flow and max pressure is the same and the motor has more than enough power to support it.
And there is a kubota arm rest kit that fits the 1880 seat.
When I run the 48" mower with the PTO driven collection system the engine seems to have plenty of power and never struggles.

I think you could put18-8.50 X 8 tires on the front and not change the rims. They are the same height as 18-850 X 10.

May still choose this platform just to cut grass- 4 wheel drive alone is worth it.

The tire thing is not accurate… as long as you replace all 4 to the next size your fine..
