I wouldn’t even call it childish-even most children don’t deliberately injure or kill people when they don’t get their way. They’ll sit on the floor and cry about it, maybe destroy some inanimate objects. This guy is a monster and stories like this aren’t uncommon. I did work with a safe home back in the day and sure, there are some female agressors, but the amount of men/young men/older boys who don’t know how to deal with rejection, so they turn to violence, is scary-and this was over 10 years ago, I can only imagine it’s gotten worse.

It is wise to do this, however it won’t always prevent disaster. I have a childhood friend who married and had a kid with a guy who she’d gone to church with for many years. Very respectable families on both sides. Long story less long, dude was hiding mental illness, stopped taking his meds when they got married and moved away. He started threatening her and the baby and attacked my friend.
Luckily my friend isn’t naive or unable to defend herself-so she defended herself and left immediately. She filed a restraining order, convinced the courts to revoke his rights as a parent, and acquired protection. She and her baby are doing so well. I hope any young woman who happens to read this and is in a similar situation has to courage to leave. Abuse in any form is unacceptable.
I agree! It's still important to understand the culture your potential significant other was raised in because that forms our ideologies as an adult. If you are raised in a culture in which women are considered less than men then that frames your opinion of women. It wasn't till the very end that i found myself "mad"...was the Attorney trying to blame the Victim? That Attorney asked, Would you have shot her if she hadn't turned away from you? WTF? Agee doesn't know half of what happened that day because he was so outraged...he doesn't know what he would have done or what else she would have done...or what his stupid mother would have done? What he did do... was leave work, get his gun and drive to another State to shot her...
It seems as if his defense is to try and say that her turning away from him is what made him shoot her, not necessarily her giving him the std so that he doesn’t get found guilty to “premeditated murder” and it was more of a he shot her in the moment type of thing. If that makes sense, but clearly it didnt work

What a disgusting waste of all of the resources of Jurisprudence . There should have been NO trial. He should have been arrested, charged, and a Judge sentence him. The evidence is beyond overwhelming, witnessed, and was documented as such. Then we allow these evil doers to plead "not guilty" so they can then try to convince us that they "didn't mean to do it." (followed by all the lame excuses). And lawyers should be held to upholding the truth. His Defense attorney KNEW he was GUILTY...but decides to literally "buy" into the charade dragged out in court. We see so many of these trials and it's a blight on our entire system. And don't give me the speech about: "well, in America, everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty"....NOT when murder is witnessed by people right in front of them. His "reasons", for walking up to her and shooting her, do not become his "get out of jail free card."
