That's an interesting thought, but it might be hard to make those effects intuitive in a game where your only hint in game is the enchantment name. Not to mention that fall damage would happen at really low heights without feather falling. I don't know, could work, but I think I'd be happy with just ignoring bubble column effects.
What if chainmail was instead craftable using iron nuggets? Chains are their own heavy duty object that chain mail armor doesn't have to use. Or you could use the recipe of chains inside the armor, making a checkerboard of nuggets and ingots
Yeah i get u but i think that nuggets are too small. 9 of those make an ingot so you might aswell make iron. But at the same time chains are more expensive that straight iron so they need to find a goodplace inbetween
Another idea I've heard for the sniffer digging up ancient plants is that it could dig up a plant that makes spring green dye, allowing you to craft the spring green wool from Minecraft Classic (honestly just adding any new dye to sniffer plants would easily make it a more worthwhile addition)
Minecraft classic didn't have a particular "spring green" wool, it just had different colors for the 16 types of wool. In particular the lavender and hot pinks always stood out to me, less so the greens
It would be really cool to get some new dyes in the game after having the 16 classic colors for so long. I feel like the only reason Mojang hasn't is because it would mean updating everything that can be dyed. Wool, terracotta, concrete, banners, sheep, and more would need to be updated with it.
Mojang themselves need to create a condensed list like this, but just the really small easy-to-add features like the rose in the sniffer loot table or removing the "bed is too far away" message. And then commit to adding as many of these as possible in one update. Rather than giving us one or two intricately designed mobs that take a lot of development time but have little use to players, give us 50 really miniscule features that each take 1-3 days to develop but have a big impact to the players.
This has actually been done a TON in the past 5 years or so. The actual behind the scenes part of the game was heavily rewritten from the collision to the graphics api. In the process also reworking all the old item ID limits, adding custom tags to items instead of each item having it programmed in directly, etc.
About the first suggestion regarding jungle and swamp villagers, you could actually figure out that villagers of those types exist if you see a naturally-spawning zombie villager from that biome. Since it's so rare though, there should still probably be a more consistent way of showing it to new players
Not really all that rare, spend really a single night or two there and you’ll probably see a zombie villager. A good clue there, spend time in that biome and you begin to learn thingsc
@@dumpy_frog That's true, if you specifically search for it you'll find it eventually, but if you don't know that it exists you probably won't think to look in those biomes
You can also find these types of villagers if a neighbouring biome has a village right at the border of the jungle or swamp biome. Some of the villagers will become swamp or jungle villagers respectively. However, this is very rare and Cub is right, especially if they add at least a version of the experimental villager trade rebalance.
In that area of the jungle village, the jungle should be akin to the "sparse jungle" biome. Considering that a village would naturally be in a clearing
One thing I think minecraft needs is more medium-sized plants and foliage, like the dripleaf. There's currently very little options for greenery that looks good at that scale.
Polar lights and other weather effects would definitely add a quality to the sky, e.g. rainbows and fog after heavy rain. Since it's possible with shaders (and it looks all so gorgeus) we are totally on board with that idea!
Aurora Borealis would be amazing. They could tie it in with the moon cycle like how Slimes are linked to the moon cycle is swamps. They should also make fog and tie it in with moon cycle at night.
I like that the list contains more than one way to bring the Luck effect into the game. I never understood why it was not there already in some way or another
Beautiful! Aurora and shooting stars could be part of a larger astrology update where game effects could be determined where the Moon, or colored Planets are relative to proposed Mob-shaped Constellations.
The idea of having sniffers bring back the old flowers is maybe the best idea in this series so far. As a huge fan of old Minecraft this would make me very happy and sway my negative opinion of the sniffer
for the sniffer thing, it would also be cool if it could dig up the shrub from legacy console. it adds a relic from the 3rd other major version. the shrub is a dead bush style plant but it has the leaf colourmap which makes it look like a bush. i think it would be useful for decoration too

I am new to that old tiny rose, but I just wish in general the sniffer would offer like 6-10 different plants or that maybe the 4-5 plants come from it can also turn into bushes or would grow up walls, like shown in the preview for the sniffer. 2 plants was just such a scam.
3:25 Historically chain armor is actually more durable and protective than plate armor. It also is waaaay harder to make because each link had to be done individually. So I disagree with Cub on this one. They should just make chain better than iron armor and craft it with chains.
tbh, like they are doing with the sculk thing and giving everything a sculk level, the sniffer should have more plants added for basically FREE and everyone would be happy about it each update.
I have naturally spawned swamp villagers. It's where I found frogs to breed. I didn't know they weren't supposed to be there. I'll ask to see their permit.

The Bee Nest idea was easy for them; I already did the work for them in MiniHUD for the new Data Components. My code also supports displaying the Bee's Custom Names if you name tagged the bees.
Love this series! Phrases like “I can’t believe Mojang hasn’t thought of this” suggest that they haven’t thought of any of these ideas. However, all we know is that they haven’t added or announced them. It’s likely they’ve considered many of these. Let’s hope your thoughtful suggestions become a reality!
I've had exactly the same wish for chainmail armour to be craftable whilst acknowledging the current reasons it's not - your idea of increasing the durability is ingenious but I think might be counterintuitive by existing Minecraft logic (and real-life intuition that thicker full-plate armour should last longer). My personal take on it would be to simply change the chain crafting recipe to be more generous (maybe 2-3 for the same recipe), to make it a slightly worse but much more cost effective alternative armour. This also has the upside of making a really nice decorative block and ingredient for hanging signs much easier to craft in bulk!
To be fair, the jungle and swamp zombie villagers exist, and I've cured them to have some of the special villagers - but unless you were looking out, one might not notice
You have good ideas I agree with almost all of them I wish for potions were changed back to the original colors they made it harder for me to say I would also like arrows that you could shoot torches and others but those are the two main most important things to me right now and sleeping bags that would not reset your spawn point
“Bed too far away” is actually an important feature for things like escape rooms, stopping people from teleporting through walls to hop in beds. I’d rather have a message than no message.
But they can also just remove the message but keep the distance from which you can get into the bed the same (and if you are too far away, you just are too far away).
That would mean some existing escape rooms would need to be changed if they wanted to update, but wouldn't really be a problem for new designs as they'll be made keeping in made what the current mechanics are
I want blue roses so bad. Yes yes to the roses. Nice job on the bees in hives add! What are we up to for your ideas added? 8? I would have to go back and count. Cub the people's Champion!
the arua would be a great ingame way to signal to players that there is a ice biome near by, also for the new pale forest biome, instead of the sky changing when your in the biome, have it so there are grey clouds above it constantly that player can see from a distance or through the spy glass, stuff like this would be great cause it would help cut down on the use of outside sources like chunkbase. i wonder how long it will take them to add the bee nest number feature to bedrock.
maybe since chainmail is made of more iron it should be heavier and would absorb a small amount of knockback, not as much as netherite, but enough to be noticeable. Also, maybe deadweight could make the heavy pressure plates give more redstone power? Nice video, btw
Oh the rose! I remember one day starting up my game to find the overworld with a ton of new biomes, was in awe of the savanna foolishly wondering if there'd be lions or zebras. Then I found that the rose was gone, something I very much associated with me game, even more so than something like iron golems
You should be able to find pages for the potions inside the secrets of the igloos so you actually explore them and also not just use the wiki every time. Maybe even make the book necessary for making potion arrows and use it in the fletching table.
I vibe with the rose suggestion so much!!!! but I just know they would update the texture anyways :/ The new 1x1 painting has a rose in it with a new texture so I suspect they’d make it look like that
8:11 that strength could actually be a cool rare event with like a boss and some special loot or something, which'd be really cool tbh, maybe some sort of creature that died under a strong aurora and comes back only when the aurora is that strong? Idk but I kinda feel like there's potential there!
I love the craftable chainmail idea! Since chainmail is (to my knowledge) more complicated to make than straight metal armour irl, maybe make a new recipe for chainmail using a checkerboard pattern of iron ingots and nuggets (5 ingots and 4 nuggets makes 9 chainmail, for example), and then that chainmail is used for the armor, making the armor overall cheaper but more complex (2 step crafting) Personally, instead of making chainmail have more durability, I'd rather have them be usable with ANOTHER set of armor (not another chainmail piece tho), just like how irl chainmail works. Though I'd understand that'd be much harder to implement, and may screw with game balance too much
This is the first one of these that doesn't add extra grind to the game. They're just improvements. I like. I hope you go back and rethink the previous ones.
For swamp and Jungle villages I think the way to go should be a single building rather than a whole village. For Jungle it could be a tree house structure around a tall 2x2 tree. For swamp it would be kinda like a witches hut.
Playing Minecraft last night, I wished for: • villages for swamp and jungle • craftable chainmail armor • and to know how many Bees are in Nests and Hives Today, I watch a cubfan135 video covering EXACTLY what I wish Mojang would implement into the best game ever made I absolutely love the aurora and shooting star ideas! - if Mojang wants to save Minecraft, they need to hire cubfan135 immediately
I think I would make the Villagers a mini quest. Maybe have some sort of book with a riddle or saying something the player needs to figure out by taking Villagers to other biomes, including Jungles and Swamps. This book could be a buried treasure that the player finds from a map traded by a Villager. We could go a step further and make it so you have to interact with them to get more clues to take them specifically to Jungles and Swamps. But this runs the chance of too many interactions and people maybe not knowing they have to keep trading to get more maps with more clues. So maybe the first book provides all the information, if they figure it out. And when they've taken Villagers to every biome, they get an achievement to let them know they've completed this mini quest and unlocked all Villager biome types. This way they know about the different Villager types in other biomes.
maybe if you see a shooting star it could actually go look for its landing site too. No clue what it could be used for. but even if it was just kinda cool looking and decorative, it would motivate people to stay up at night and explore.
I can't get Bedrock to start how many bees are in a nest, and any honey in them disappears when the hive enters my inventory, so I don't know if the feature you got added is exclusive to Java or nor.
The different dirt blocks that the sniffer can use should have different plants. 2 plants for grass, moss, pale moss, mycelium, podsol, dirt, rooted dirt, course dirt, gravel, sand, red sand. That would be 22 new plants. But it's just decorative
I just thought of another idea for chainmail, where chainmail is more resistant than iron for arrows and other projectiles, but not as resistant for blunt attacks or explosions or other general damage, which would make it realistic and give it a really interesting usage/tradeoff in the game
6:24 DUDE i haven’t seen one of these pocket edition flowers since i was plying pocket edition in freshman year of high school. Would love to see the roses return
I wish every biome villiger had their own perks and reason to aquire that other biome villegers dont. Like desert villegers would offer something unique to desert biomes and jungle villagers something special to jungles, maybe biome specific trims??? That would be cool
My idea for chainmail is to allow it to be worn underneath normal armor. If your armor breaks, the chainmail will be a backup armor piece. It means chainmail isn't necessary but it would be fun to collect one of each piece and enchant them when you have the resources.
With regards to chain mail, Cub: you're stretching pretty hard. Chain mail has very little to do with actual chains, other than both being composed of looped metal bands. If you want chain mail to be craftable and have it be somewhat similar to real-world chain mail, then it'd be better to introduce wire as an item to use in redstone components. Copper wire for signal-based components, steel wire for mechanical-based components. Then, allow steel wire to also be craftable into chainmail.
On the sniffer note I wish so badly that torch flowers actually emitted light !! It would make it way more worth it to get a sniffer if it meant a new aesthetic light source and add in game consistency with the fact that glow berries actually glow! Like your really gonna name a flower after the most iconic light source in minecraft and not have it produce any light :/
It would be cool if chain would also have increased enchantability. Plus buffing other armors: slightly increase gold durability, increase leather protection. Would be great to have more real options rather than a fairly straight upgrade chain.
Another way for the chainmail to work, something I've always wished was the case, was to mimick real life! Chainmail could have a buff for ranged attack protection, but kind of suck when being poked by a sword (although irl slashing with sword it's also quite good at protecting from), so it should be OK at protecting from that, but not great. The iron armor should be much more protecting from swords, but slightly less on ranged, as arrows can just puncture it easily due to the tention of plated iron (just like irl). This give a subtle extra bonus to chainmail, making the extra cost even more worth it when made using chains, but at the same time doesn't render normal iron armor useless, and gives chainmail an actual specific use case, other than just "a worse iron armor" (that maybe lasts longer).
I would rather chainmail remain uncraftable, but be common in treasure loot tables. It would fill a similar purpose to gold in that regard. I do think the durability change is reasonable, but not totally necessary.
potion recipes aren’t that hard to remember. especially as fermented spider eye just reverses the effect. most ingredients make sense but for some it’s useful to know that for example ghast tears heal. maybe paintings could give small hints for harder recipes but it’s fun to let players mess around as that’s kinda how brewing works (trying different things) with potions
decorative flowers should be to items what tropical fish became for mobs. It is highly annoying to me that Mojang has a tendency to do a cool feature but only ever uses it once and then either doesn't think about it ever again or actively decides not to use it. Animal happiness should unlock the benefits of animal-husbandry. For animals like cows, that should be the presence of food, water, shelter, and sufficient open space. Cows in 1x1 holes that last forever should not be a thing that ever has a chance to become the meta for Minecraft play, but instead of making animals get killed off by unhappiness (something that could easily happen due to a simple lack of play or when off doing other things in the game) they could nerf the output. Happy cows produce milk and good beef (maybe more of it, even), cows in 1x1 holes might produce no milk at all and killing them might give you rotten flesh instead (but that could be too useful for villager trading, so instead perhaps a new item called gristle?).
There's a distinction between development history and in-world history. The flower is just a nostalgia bait. It would be much better to just introduce new "ancient" flowers to the game instead, and with the sniffing mechanic established it is possible that they will do that in the future.
The deadweight enchantment could have some fun side uses with it. Faster falling speed making mace hits more powerful, drip leaves falling faster, etc
No knockback
That's an interesting thought, but it might be hard to make those effects intuitive in a game where your only hint in game is the enchantment name. Not to mention that fall damage would happen at really low heights without feather falling. I don't know, could work, but I think I'd be happy with just ignoring bubble column effects.

And when they've taken Villagers to every biome, they get an achievement to let them know they've completed this mini quest and unlocked all Villager biome types. This way they know about the different Villager types in other biomes.
That Sniffer/Ancient Flower dynamic is about as easy a win as you can possibly have.
Great video Cub! I really like the chainmail idea and the spyglass shooting star! It wuold be amazing having northernlights
Speaking of atmosphere (aurora): what about rainbows? Add them sometimes after rain!
I think that was actually in a previous episode already. And also involved getting the Luck status effect.
maybe if you see a shooting star it could actually go look for its landing site too. No clue what it could be used for. but even if it was just kinda cool looking and decorative, it would motivate people to stay up at night and explore.
I just love the intro
This list gets better and better! Everything! No notes!
Love all these ideas Cub. This is definitely one of my favourite youtube series right now. Keep it up! :)
Love the aurora idea. Maybe how often/bright it is can be based on how far north you are.
A man from Belgium that knows all potion recipes by heart? I feel called out!
same except Im Dutch
I was in love the X Games aurora as well! ❤️❤️✨ The shooting stars really needs to be added, too. Love this list!!
Also, I never knew about the blue rose! It's so pretty
Thank you Cub for being a comfort in these trying times.
@cub wanting the borealis in game? Do you think anyone who is into astrophysics would really be into Minecraft?
6:24 DUDE i haven’t seen one of these pocket edition flowers since i was plying pocket edition in freshman year of high school. Would love to see the roses return
I wish every biome villiger had their own perks and reason to aquire that other biome villegers dont. Like desert villegers would offer something unique to desert biomes and jungle villagers something special to jungles, maybe biome specific trims??? That would be cool
The sniffer idea is so incredible logically that we cannot get it why Mohjang hasn't thought of it. Also we need it NOW!
Another great list of ideas, Cub!
With the sniffer , I lke the idea and would add they should be able to dig all flowers.
shooting star is such a good idea. (also like that I watched imp skizz podcast with cub recently and learned that cub likes astronomy (like me))
My idea for chainmail is to allow it to be worn underneath normal armor. If your armor breaks, the chainmail will be a backup armor piece. It means chainmail isn't necessary but it would be fun to collect one of each piece and enchant them when you have the resources.
I think Bdubs should be backing the chainmail changes - seems like his jam. :)
Chainmail armor would be so nice because it shows your skin more.
I just want to thank you fir getting the bee thing added. Lifesaving machanic
You're taking minecraft crafting way too seriously.
I do think the durability change is reasonable, but not totally necessary.
this is the best mcyt series out here right now
Chai mail should drop loot with your suggestions added ! I like something as a loot instead of craftable
My personal suggestion for the unique villagers is having the zombie variants spawn in those biomes
Cub simply does not miss with these videos
potion recipes aren’t that hard to remember. especially as fermented spider eye just reverses the effect. most ingredients make sense but for some it’s useful to know that for example ghast tears heal. maybe paintings could give small hints for harder recipes but it’s fun to let players mess around as that’s kinda how brewing works (trying different things) with potions
Goated outro today
What remix is it?
chainmaile has the buff of being more enchantable like gold already tbh
Rose hips would be so cool for the Sniffer to dig up! I am pro more flowers in the game & love history.
whoa, whoa they actually changed the bee nest thing?
decorative flowers should be to items what tropical fish became for mobs.
