Hands down one of my favorite tarot decks. I've had this for a year and a half and use it for myself only. I have the identical deck that you have, but my deck is velvety and not glossy AT ALL. My guilding is not shiney but has some sparkle to it. I get so excited to see this deck, there is just something so special about it!

I have this deck as well and the finish on mine is velvety too. I think mine is third edition. I have the cloud backing.
Hey Bonnie, can i just double check - did your version come in a carton box instead as i know they have this deck (brown backs and gold edges) but in silk matt laminate like the cloud back edition and with like a more muted gold gilding to them aka matt gold that kinda shimmers more than it does shine. I think alot of people get confused as they have now had so many variations of them haha
I have the second edition with rose petal finish and Matt gold edging. I love it. The fourth edition is not as dark and I think the details are easier to see. But amazing decks either way.

I have 100+ Tarot decks and this is my favourite by far. I had the same reaction as you when I first opened it, goosebumps and excitement and just an amazing deck, I love it.

Love this deck and the Tim Burton vibes, It'd be so interesting to have a guidebook to see what the creator was thinking when doing each card. It's been on my wish list for so long. I wish it was mass market so I could afford it lol. Is the cardstock glossy or matte? (I'm really not that picky but just wondering) Thanks for the walkthrough!

I have fallen in love with this deck! It's pretty expensive for my budget but I've started saving up some money and hopefully I'll get it by the end of the year!
So for whatever reason whenever I’ve seen this deck shown, it just didn’t click for me until seeing your walk through. Now I suddenly NEED it. Sheesh, your videos should come with a warning label. ;). I think the fact that you flipped through slowly enough I could pick out a bunch of the quirky details and symbols, combined with your super adorable enthusiasm and comments helped me to finally see the magic of this deck. …I just desperately wish it also came with a guidebook-not that I can’t use one of my other guides (since I’m still a newbie and learning) but mostly I just think it would be brilliant as well.

Hey Natasha, I prefer the Slavic Legends Tarot by the same Company, and I guess considering I have Slavic background and am moving to Europe (a Slavic country) to be with my Mrs, there may be some bias yet I do have re 20-25 decks that are my favs out of re 25 -30 decks that I have....i know, most ppl have 2-3-4- fav decks yet I love 95% of the ones I bought, and so hard to have favs cos they are all so beautiful and feel connected to them all bar maybe 2-3-4-5- decks out of the whole 25-30 decks I have. My Mrs on the other hand doesn't speak English and is new to Tarot, so I have to txlate all these books and cards for her and with her receiving 25 new decks, if she learns one deck a month (good luck), she has a minimum of 2 years worth of fun ahead of her, not including other things I have pre purchased for my move so we have enough to keep us occupied for at least the next 10-15 years......i didn't realise retiring was going to keep us this busy lol

The death card reminds me a bit of Terry Pratchett's discworld death when in a mood to understand or relate more to the living beings and "humanity", when he is more of a side character. And the judgment card I don't know why but Creature feature's - A Gorey Demise started playing in my head, maybe because creature feature's music also fits this art style in an audio version. For me it's just a funny cute deck, yes I miss the diversity. And the lovers I guess the third person are supposed to be a chaperone but well I couldn't help seeing it as a triad it might look uneven in that image but just kind of compersion moment watching over the newly besotted. And the hanged vampire just chilling out. And the moon holding the secret pathway... the tower just perfect. Eight of wands gives me Kiki's delivery service feelings. And the tree of wands just awesome... this deck definitely made it to my wish list

They have a new department that deals with fraude. They will be undertaking action about the situation.
I never heard of Taroteca - Studio , so thank you for sharing I will order it from there. I am absolutely resolute in buying proper decks.

YAY! I'm SO glad you got this deck too! I have it too but mine is with the velvety buttery matte finish (exactly like the box) and the night sky with the clouds and stars and a moon on the back and with black matte gilded edges. I love it so much! Normally, I'm not one for dark decks but when I first saw this deck a long while back, I knew I had to have it and I finally got it not very long ago! I use mine for shadow work because it really helps me to see the darker parts of me that need attention and to be brought to light. The whimsical artwork also makes me smile and chuckle and that kinda reminds me that even when I'm doing shadow work, to not take myself too seriously and helps me to bring light into the dark areas that really need that so that I can heal. In my opinion, it's a superb deck for shadow work but I can also see it being a regular use deck for anyone who would want to use this kinda deck all the time. :)

I have the second edition of this deck and it has the silk laminated matte paper so the cards have the buttery feeling like the box. I love the deck and am not bothered that it didn't come with a book as I can use any of my other tarot books to verify a meaning. But as you said the artist illustrated the characters expressions so well that the meaning is apparent on most of the cards. Love the deck!

I've had this deck over a year and I love it. I adore the artwork and the cards read really well.
I have other tarot decks as well and switch around the one I use when I do readings. A week ago I had the Dark Mansion out again and suddenly got the feeling all the cards weren't there and when I counted them I found I am missing 4 cards. When they went missing I have no idea as I change around which deck I want to use and I could have lost them a month ago or more and didn't notice. I've turned my reading area upside down and can't find them. I am so upset with myself I can't figure out what happened to them. I tried to do tarot readings and used my pendulum and still can't find them. It's an expensive deck for me and the most I've ever spent on a deck. Where can they be?😭 I enjoyed your walk through video of the deck and hope I find my lost cards soon.
I love this deck. I got the moon/stars/cloud matte deck. It was on my wish list forever. I am so happy with this deck. Even a beginner with no experience could read it using the imagery on the cards.

Its so fun. My advice would be to get yourself a nice reference book to work along side it since it doesn't come with a guidebook.

I have the cloud backgrounds…it is matte with matte black edges…I absolutely love this deck even tho I have a hard time shuffling a bit….if I had a choice I would want a bit of gloss. I am back to watching Little House on the Prairie dreaming of wearing boots & dresses with bonnets. This gives me the same feelings…so funny that u were saying everything I thought about each card! Even down to the heart locket with the hair…they used to have the little tear catchers too…love this stuff. Oh man I truly love this deck….I never put it away. Sometimes I just want to look at it. I got it after Ethony said she had 2 I think…one in a fire proof safe or something?! But yeah I have no regerts (😏) with this deck!

I have a classic tarot deck with same back design and I think I wouldn't mind having this deck as my third one 😅
About the lack of diversity in the cards. Opposingly one could argue that having a diverse set of characters could create stereotypical imagery. If certain characters have certain attributes in a deck constantly used these associations stick subconsciously. I am for a diverse set of decks and decks showing certain groups need to exist, but they shouldn’t contrast each other within the deck.
Price is the only reason I still don't own this deck. Right up my alley, too!

I love the art of this deck, sadly I wanted the back you have and when these first came out you could only get that backing with the large deck. I have small hands and the large size with it's thick card stock and silk matte finish means I literally cannot get them to shuffle the way I like and the cards stick to one another so hard to get the cards really mixed up. I was pretty bummed because I adore the Tim Burton/Edward Gorey vibes of this sweet deck.
Doesn't this deck have 2 moon cards? I have seen it on pinterest but I don't know if it is included in all decks.

I used it a lot when I first bought it. I tend to use my decks in cycles, or when they call to me. This one I use more in the fall ❤️

I would suggest getting a tarot resource book to help, but with that, it should be fine for beginners.
