I did a painting of Josh Todd. And the local radio station was gonna do an interview with him. They let me hang out until he got there and i gave him the painting. He loved it and was extremely nice and complimenting. I left before his interview started because i didn't want to intrude on his time. As i was driving down the street listening to the interview i heard him asking where i went and wished i would've stuck around. Such a cool, down to earth, real person. I've seen him a few times since and he's always been so cool and generous with his time. Never a sense of phony or put on showmanship. I've become such a huge fan since and truly wish him even more success. We need more good spirits out there like that.
I got to meet him and Buckcherry when I saw them in concert back in September. I got VIP tickets. I originally got VIP tickets to meet him because he's one of my favorite frontman musicians. I bought the Warpaint album a few months before him. I got a picture with him and told him that I had autism and my dreams is to become an actor and inspire people with disabilities to never give up on the dreams. He told me that is a amazing and a brave thing to do and he hoped that I achieve that goal. I told him that means a lot to me. I had respect for him before I met him, and after meeting him, I have so much respect for after he told me to never give up and to follow my dreams. The rest of the band were very cool guys as well. Buckcherry is in my top five favorite bands of all time.
Josh Todd's voice is one in a million....when he sings, you know it's him!! I love his grit, his growl and the softness when he does Rock Ballads!! Totally underrated. Love love his voice
Wow Josh! Thank you sir, thank you for sharing. It takes a real pro to be able to convey all this info with such earnestness. Thank you again, very much respect for you Josh.
Thank you Josh! He needs to have a class on Master Class. I subscribed there. Wow. amazing lineup of teachers. Tom Morello for guitar, Alicia Keyes, Christina Aguilera, Hans Zimmer, Timbeland, the list goes on. I'd def take a Josh Todd class on vocals.
One of the best posts I have ever watched! Wow! I learned SO MUCH! And some of it i knew already but to hear Josh drive it home...so inspiring! Thx for posting this! 🙏
This guy is so different than most people think. The average Joe probably thinks he’s a drug addict rock and roller. I mean he’s probably most known for Lit Up. But actually, he’s a dedicated pro who is into perfecting his craft of singing. Very cool.
If your sick before a show do 10 minutes of deep breathing,,I mean breath in & out so deep it hurts your lungs & by the time you hit the stage you'll be amazed how much clearer you are! I have terrible allergies & colds at times & sing live 4hrs every show..Chris Cornell,,Sammy Hagar,,Robert Plant,,Sting,,...hard vocalist to hit & I feel like i nail it if i do this breathing exercise (whim hoff)..that's the only thing I'd add to his great advice!
Great professional, great vocalist! James Brown, Thriller Michael Jackson, how to take care of your voice and vocal scales, and vocal coach.......frickin' amazing!
That's really cool to know he takes it so seriously. These are definitely lessons somebody like Axl would have benefited from earlier in life. Unfortunately, it's too late now.
Great Info Josh !!! Bret Michaels Does his scales everyday and has a routine, as well. Not saying that anyone is better than the next but, doing scales is of the utmost importance. You bring up the acid reflux, so true !!! Having worked in studios and engineering, this is what I have learned too. Again, Great info !!!
It's difficult to understand why he is so underrated. His voice is one of my all time favorites. He is extremely talented. I'm a few years older than he is ,I wish he would use his writing and vocal talent to make music that would appeal to older rock lovers as well as younger ones. IDK,just love the guy and want his voice to be as admired as he deserves. Want him to be as successful as he deserves to be. Huge Fan. Love hearing him talk. He's intelligent.
Tell Josh I'm doing baking soda now, and being on set for his Wrath music video was inspiring, didn't know what I was getting into, but it's all full circle you know boss?
I like Josh He is real He gets a crazy good show I remember some nut did a stage dive in front of Josh at a small venue once YOU COOD SEE THE HORROR IN HIS FACE but keep on being the pro voice he is
I think Vince Neil needs to watch this video . JT and Buckcherry don’t use loops ,backtracks or pre recorded vocal support live . They are the real Fuckn deal . Not many live rock bands can say the same thing . The new Hellbound disc is “ off the hook “ Good !!!! If you love rock n roll .. Hellbound kicks Ass😎🤘
He's dedicated. I have migraines. I take prescription medicine for them. With my ulcerative colitis, I can't take more than one Advil at a time. Drugs for inflammation are hard on the stomach and liver.
Buckcherry tour constantly good for them.I read some yrs ago former lead guitarist Keith forgot his last name,he wanted to take a hiatus from touring with buckcherry l.
If you get migraines, Number one have thyroid levels checked. T3's T4's TSH's !!! I had horrible migraines and had low thyroid but Josh is hyper so I would say maybe Hyperthyroid ???
Haha be careful and don't drink more than a teaspoon of baking soda at a time. It's also the trick to pass UAs for meth, but you need to take 2 tablespoons, and it will make you shit your like you've never shit before! Haha but hey, you pass the UA...
12:10 when he said dont tell people you are sick. I seen sons of texas live and they were bad ass. I was drinking with a couple of the guys after the show. I told him that was a bad ass show. He said thank you so much cause I was sick as fuck. Singer still went 1000% in. I never heard of them. Still one one of me favorite bands check them out. They are even on Dime fest! Cool ass guys too. They deserve some more love.
JT should be teaching Rockstar Ergonomics 101 at some college. That interview was all killer, no filler. Thank you for sharing it. Even though it has been 4 years since this was filmed every word of it still holds true.
Top 10 rock vocalist for sure. He doesn't get the love that he deserves. One of the most authentic dudes I've seen, same with Jacoby and Corey.

Not a singer...don't want to be one, but I found this super interesting. Josh is incredibly generous to share his knowledge and experience.
Josh Todd kool dude down to earth guy.Been a fan of buckcherry for yrs.
Thanks for posting. I have a new respect for this guy.
Super interesting information from a true professional. Decades of blood, sweat, and tears spoken so casually. LEGEND. GURU.
A real nice, honest and knowledge filled piece of experience from a pro level rocker. Great info in this.
I have been playing and singing 32 yrs. Spot on brother, very wise words. new fan

you are my favorite frontman, lizzy hale also
But by going for it without vocal training his voice sounds like rock and roll.
Buckcherry tour constantly good for them.I read some yrs ago former lead guitarist Keith forgot his last name,he wanted to take a hiatus from touring with buckcherry l.
How many times did he say humm ? Great band tho,all lit up again is a classic 🤘🏻

William Dafoe's kid brother?

Every Breath You Take?!
He’s not the best singer out there but the advice he gave was really solid
His also has been in the game a long time.So he knows what he’s talking about. I never was a big fan but they toured with a lot of bands I liked.
Hope he gets saved and knows JESUS loves him.
Saved from What?
I don't know about Jesus, but I heard he knows about Pedro, Paco and Juan.
Singers drive me nuts. OMG! Practicing scales on your day off? The horror.

Oooh, the lack of musical interludes...

Curious, why do you say that?
CLEARLY, you don’t know him. Thx for your two cents.
Just because your not, poser!
He did all his partying before he made it.
I saw him a few months ago and he claimed to be loaded himself, in front of the whole crowd
cocaine .hell 've a drug...lol...~Rick James~
Does he recommend cocaine?
I do
He said no. He’s been clean 25 years

Lmao ... really ??
Josh has a lot of experience, but since he's got to swear in every song, he's no role model.
We don’t need role models we need teachers with experience. I swear every day
