One of the very few motovloggers that just post good quality pure riding videos. Always great to watch, good quality, great roads and entertaining as always Shaaf.
Schaaf. Hey rider ! Great ride on a great road !! I have a video of my multi that is not so frantic !!😄😄😄 let me know if you would like the link! !😎😎😎🍺🍺🍺🍺
Nice ride man, your either pretty good or pretty crazy. Anyway, I was in love with BMWs for the last 20 years and last two years I planned to buy BMW 1200 GSA. Well, this year I finally made the purchase. I bought Multistrada 1200 Enduro :) Best thing I ever owned.
most people told me I've been doing it wrong. I asked them why they would buy a bike with ~160 horses when they never use more than maybe 100 of em... never got a reply ;)
Awesome footages and pure unadulterated engine sound, Herr Schaaf! I love the way you ride those beautiful machines, though it scares the hell out of me at times!! Ride safe, and waiting for more Schaaf treatment!!!!
Loving your rides. Just got myself the pikes peak version of this bike so looking forward to getting it on the alpine passes in the summer next year. Shame I’m living in the UK
Brilliant mate! Just got back from Pyrenees on 2011 strada and totally loved it so much am buying the Enduro next week, 4500kms and zero faults! my mates GSXR1000 Broke down twice lol....
How is your common repute about ms950. Bad things and good things. Also your cornering is awesome. Also lm wondering how u find time to test bikes and the weather perfect for winter seoson...
This must be your best video up to date, I might even share it with my (not motorcycle loving) facebook friends, by the way I think it's called an adventure or touring bike in english
Epic run! Just curious what your suspension settings were. Front DSC Rear DSC Rear Preload Any Front preload or unsprung I have ‘17 in White and I feel like the suspension is a bit soft. Just curious if you dialed in the suspension or just let it rip. The front is delivered with no preload 0 of 10 turns
I'm sorry Matt, I don't know. I only had the bike for one day and didn't care checking those settings. Only thing which bugged me was the throttle response in all modes besides Sport. So I used Sport all the time basically.
Yup, 17' front wheel is very agile. I saw you mostly lean with the bike (from the camera angle, i don't think you ever lean in), any slight 'power slide' when you open throttle in the middle of the corner prior Apex? Any vibration on high Rpm?
That was a Kick Ass ride Dude. Your riding style is very similar to mine. I shake my head at MTS owners who barely crack the throttle 🤷♂️. You are so fortunate to have such amazing twisties. What country was your vid filmed? I have a 2015 'S'... Such an amazing machine. She fits me like a glove. 😍 Ride Safe my friend... Mississauga, Ontario Canada...
Can we turn the traction control completely off? One of my fav things to do with a powerful bike like this is power slides on relatively slow bends, and for that, I want no TC at all.
@@Schaaf Thanks Schaaf, I'm getting myself a 2014 multistrada pikes peak tomorrow. I could hardly sleep the last few days after I had the deal "spoken for" with the owner. Wish me luck. Good ridings for you.
I have the ms pikes peak now, I am absolutely in love with the bike, I mean i feel like a teen falling in love for the 1st time. Just haven't figured yet how to turn the TC off.
That's the actual case for all motorcycles especially if you want to get them first hand.Even the second hand ones can sometimes be absurdely expensive.Ok-ish priced bikes are the CB500,GS500 and other 90's bikes.
Well.I believe the pricetag's weight depends on your pocket firsthand. Here with 1000-1500 you can get one of the ones above and nothing else. And those are japanese.Harley for an example is really expensive.
Curious what’s your weight and did you change sport mode suspension to hardest? Just got a new 2019 1260s and I am adjusting to the long suspension travel. Coming from a ktm super duke Gt... the multi feels very bouncy to me... I don’t trust it yet in corners like I did the sdgt
couple questions 1 can you actually get your knee down on such a tall bike? 2 how usable are those wide bars in terms of control and comfyness? 3 how is the weather so good up there :(
Hi @Schaaf, I see you take the corners in first gear. Do you also use the back brake in tight corners? (till half the corner) Have the same bike, its amazing.
Hello Paul! I didn't feel the need to use the back brake at all and therefore didn't use it :) Yes indeed it is!! Although I know that the S model would be even more fun to me :D
ahahahaha well spotted :D I actually wonder though if the slipper clutch was responsible for that. Because I think I never managed to do that on my Little Honda before. You see I really don't know a lot about riding. I just do whatever feels right :D
One thing I notice about fast guys who ride the uber powerful bikes is how much on/off throttle they require. It's like instead of applying a constant 50 hp, they avg it by applying 100 hp for an instant then nothing for an instant. I prefer bikes made powered for the speeds I actually travel. That bike is kinda like applying a thumb tack with a sledgehammer.
@@Schaaf Never had that addiction. For me its more about cornering speed and generally comfortable ergonomics. I spend long hours in the seat. Around me there aren't many roads without cross roads and lots of driveways. There are people entering roads everywhere not expecting a torpedo to barrel toward them at 180mph. Out west, there are more long, unencumbered roads where one could use them to their full potential. On twisty roads and here in the east, I'll take the 950 every time. All the on/off throttle stuff would make me sea sick. 🏍
Nice ride, thanks... Really great sounding engine, but I wouldn't dare to buy one because of the "italian" factor (long term reliability :-))... On the other hand, this is the first dashboard TFT (?) display on a motorcycle I would consider truly high-visibility. Excellent contrast and backlight.

maybe both! Great choice with La Multi! I'm very jealous!
I’ve also ridden both and from my pic I guess you can understand which one I bought.
Amazing machine !!!

How do you ride so confidently on cracked roads? I find it complicated to trust the pavement when it's not that good
Cracks don't matter as long as the tarmac itself is grippy
Hello... Great ride! Thanks for sharing. Have you had the chance to compare the Pikes Peak version Ohlins suspension with this standard one?
unfortunately not, the Pikes Peak must be amazing for sure
Schaaf thanks for your reply. I’ll have to try them both back to back...
Another great video. I'm not sure I could cope with the vagueness of that gearbox. I look forward to exploring such roads on my Tiger 800.
The Tiger 800 will be perfect for that!!
