    Here's the RAW in which I used the text inserts to share some thoughts about the Multistrada Enduro:
    • 2016 Ducati Multistrad...
    Here's a motovlog in which I compared it to the BMW GS Adventure
    • 1 DAY 1 BIKE - Ducati ...
    ---
    this is the same text as below my previous Multistrada RAW:
    Riding a powerhouse like this Multistrada Enduro made me realize two things:
    -) I don't need more than 50bhp to be happy. But if you give me 160bhp I'll use almost all of it still.
    -) According to my opinion these big adventure tourers (even more so their 'road versions') should be the best option to choose when interested in speed and comfort. You're seated incredibly comfortable while having tons of power. Which is a lot more usable for the average Joe like you and me because their engines provide most of its power and torque in lower RPM-levels already. It's just nowhere near as nerve-wracking as constantly trying to keep a high-performance engine up in the high revs in order to get the most out of it. Of course a sports bike has better working suspension but the stuff they use in GS and Multistrada these days is so damn sophisticated too that it's performing more than well enough for road use. Even more so since on the open road we always ride with reserves and never near our actual limits.
    A bike like the Multistrada provides tons of comfort, lots of usable power, a competitive suspension, and all of this while being relatively easy to handle at the same time. In my eyes bikes like the Multi, the big GS, KTM Adventure etc. are the real kings of those mountain roads :)

    DISCLAIMER: countless hours of coding efforts went into manipulating the bike's ECU in order for it to show random numbers instead of my actual velocity to make my riding look faster. In reality I never exceeded 85,8kph. Unfortunately sometimes my ECU hack didn't work and the speedo showed my actual speed which was too slow to brag so I decided to blur the speedo instead.

    I love your onboards. Most vloggers do vids of bikes trickling through towns, surrounded by traffic, and just talk bollocks. I like to ride quick on open roads so I get a better idea of what a bike is like when Im along for a quick ride with yourself. I know yours isnt really a review as such, but we can all read the specs on other sites, so this is a pretty good way of judging whether a bike is any good or not. And the roads are just amazing. At least we get to enjoy the scenery while you do the riding!!! Cheers.

    Great ride! You clearly have an affinity with the Multistrada from the way you ride it with such confidence. It is a big bike heavy bike as you say but it has manners on the road, it's not a hooligan (that's your job!!). Classic schaaf ride, As always Ride And Speed Safe.

    Schaaf, could you get one of your riding friends to get video of you riding? I'd really like to see the "Schaaf Technique" in action! I love your videos, they really help when the weather is garbage outside.

    Now this brings back memories of last summer.... (did that same road on my tour) can't wait for summer! have been riding an Enduro ( my S is "down" for service ), and can't wait to have her back: the Enduro is nice, but the S.... have a go on one of you have a chance: you won't regret it! ;) thanks for sharing, mate: Quality, as usual. ;)

      yea I can imagine. Although like mentioned the super sponginess makes it all a lot more hilarious to ride. You have to know I'm very used to the most wobbly machines and somehow enjoy them. Always feels more dramatic^^

    wery wierd second gear ratio ı think. when you finish first gear and pass to second, the bike is coming very low rpms. it's seems breaking smoothness on video.

    • @Schaaf
      @Schaaf  7 лет назад +1

      they changed the ratio on the Enduro because of potential offroad usage I think

    Great ride but be careful, this is a mountain road and imagine if in the middle of a right hander there is a leak of water down the hill or a patch of sand, or a fallen tree or rocks or whatever...with bike that heavy it would be impossible to make a correction. Always make sure to pass once before opening the throttle.
    Keep up the good ride! I am a fan :)

    • @Schaaf
      @Schaaf  7 лет назад +1

      I had situations like that happen a couple of times before. Also on bigger bikes. It is possible to make a correction as long as you know exactly how fast you can go while also staying safe. Thanks!

    Schönes Video. Hammer Bike. Aber das Überholmanöver bei 6:10 war meiner Meinung nach schon sehr riskant.

    • @Schaaf
      @Schaaf  7 лет назад

      Und hier verrät sich, wer wohl auch auf der Straße nicht weit genug nach vorne sieht. Ich hatte vor dem Manöver einen Moment freie Sicht auf die nächsten 200 Meter Straße. Da war alles frei. Mehr als genug Zeit für ein Überholmanöver. Sieht man sogar im Video, wenn man an der richtigen Stelle pausiert

    Ride safe as always.
    By the way every video always has superb weather too. How do you manage it?!
    Particularly in the mountains as I know how quick the weather can change at altitude.
    Oh yeah fantastic bike, whether you're a sportsbike man or tourer kinda guy, it ticks both boxes lovely bit of kit do you agree, a great all rounder.

      thanks for the comment mate!
      I had my share of bad luck with the weather in the first half of 2016. Never saw so much rain on bikes before. The nice conditions from my videos are pure luck. But you mustn't forget that someone like me can produce a lot of RAW videos on just one nice day :) So I don't need that much nice weather actually ;)

    Shame about your ECU hack not working consistently for you... lol
    Do you think the weight of the 30ltr tank is a disadvantage on this 1200 enduro or would a 1200s or 950s do a better job?

      ball of foot right on the peg plus moving it as close to the bike as possible

    Schaaf wen Du die Art der Mopeds wie z.b. die Tiger oder MULTISTRADA magst...probiere mal ne die BMW S 1000 XR. Du wirst Deinen Spass haben...:-)))

    • @Schaaf
      @Schaaf  7 лет назад

      sicher sehr toll, wobei mir die 4 Zylinder auf der Straße nicht so recht gefallen wollen. Laut überwiegender Mehrheit wär in Wahrheit die KTM Adventure wohl das Beste für mich

    • @marcburger3636
      @marcburger3636 7 лет назад +1

      jo die KTM ist ein gutes Bike. Nur komme ich persönlich mit dem 19 Zoll Vorderrad nicht so gut zurecht. Ich würde an Deiner Stelle alle probieren die es in diesem Style gibt.. also auch die XR .-))
      BTW: Sehr schöne Strecken in Österreich !
