Good vid. Had my Multistrada for about 7 months now and loving every minute. Such a flexible bike, powerful enough to surprise the sports bikes and comfortable enough to chill back and ride all day. Definitely worth the money :)
RidingWithTom awesome man, was looking for a good comparison of the Ninja 1000 (regular or Z version) and the 636 since they're about the same price range, and just couldn't really find anything, so if you have a chance to try one of those, would be really appreciated
Its a sports tourer, so if you like going fast but want to do it over long distance and in comfort, the multistrada can't be beaten. People have taken to racing the multistrada now with them being that quick and nimble for a touring motorbike. When's your next video going up anyway? It has been a while since we have seen Al crash..... again.
***** there is such a class of bikes called adventure bikes. Meaning they can be used for the road, and light trails, given the right tires are installed. being this a touring adventure bike, it would be better suited for the road, but can still go in the dirt just fine. Just make sure you have some semi-meaty tires on for grip. Think of it like the porche cayenne, prices excluded. it's an all terrain suv, but it's better on the road than off, unless its light trails. Very nice Ducati bike.
Ducati Traction Control. DTC Is also essentially wheelie control, if you turn off the DTC to 0. This bike is absolutely insane. Power wheelies 1st and 2nd easy. Pop the clutch in 2nd you don't need to blip the throttle at all and it pops right up. It's insane back, and fantastic in corners.
so do you like more than the hypstrada? i'd both bike and i felt more emotions on the hypermotard.... well i'd the SP 821 model. The mts 1200 it doesn't felt like the hm where you feel all the bike and the ground.... Here you feel just a great punch an torque... Very different.
Hi Tom, two things can you do a GSXR 750 review i'm hoping to get one for my next bike but can't test ride one just yet :( also how do you manage them daft 'go in left lane to turn right' situations in Melbourne? I'm from the UK and thought they were rather silly and dangerous when I visited :)
Of course the mirrors are good, they look almost as big as the mirrors on my car. And how would you compare it to your bmw s1000rr as in practicality and comfort?
If you can, try and get your buddy to look at the triumph rocket III, it still looks like a cruiser, but is also ridiculously fast for a cruiser. also the 2,300 cc three cylinder engine is pretty ridiculous too. Edit: The diavel is better at twisties, but I still think I would prefer the triumph for the overall bike.
I've had one since 2012. The PP. It can do the freroads up in the mountains and blast through the twisties also do a few thousands miles touring on the west coast US. I have a 1098 and it's just a track bike now. I've owned a low of bikes in 20yrs and this is certainly my favorite. It's been faultless reliability wise.
I rode the pikes peak model with an exhaust with no baffle. My god what an animal, handling was perfect and it just doesn't ease off, think I hit 130 (kph obviously......) overtaking a car and it was still pulling hard.
MAn... watching you play with that beauty has got me absolutely bonkers... im freakkin jealous, superlative monster of an engine and bike... sounds terrific too.
riding in those trousers and shoes is an absolute joke. You guys with youtube videos who may influence young riders, should set a standard for bikers everywhere. At least riding jeans and proper footwear. Show others how it should be done guys.
muzman777 Let him fall off and shear off his knees and arms.. up to him. I agree personally with you but you got to remember some people would rather take the chance..
Yeah but the cops have no evidence when he does that, a guy from london was speeding and the cops used his footage against him in court. Everyone knows he is speeding but the cops cant use it because there is no way of being certain as its blurred
zNova x Some said before they can work it out by the white lines? They're a specific length, and speed can be worked out by how long it takes for X amount to pass. Probably wouldn't bother, though.

riding with tom drinking game, drink every time tom says "JESUS CHRIST!"
I approve
RidingWithTom oh god no this is gonna be difficult
but please people, be responsible. this can get dangerous
Just had the best idea ever for a project. Tuned 1200 Multistrada engine in an NA MX5.
Bit heavy... One in a KE25 would be good ;)
Great video - looks like you felt just how I did when I test rode one. Accidental 2nd-gear power wheelie out of corner on a light comfy sofa!
Can you do some reviews of other sport bikes, such as the ZX-10R, or the KTM-RC8R as well as the new 2014 Z1000 (its a naked bike i know)
My mate has a 2014 zx10, I steal it next chance I get, he'll want to steal my s1k but I guess that's fair
RidingWithTom Would definitely love to see you review the KTM 1190 RC8R ;D

RidingWithTom
Sorry, but still waiting on that video RidingWithTom !! :-)
Awesome video as always, but why does the camera blur in some parts of the video?
Sick looking bike!
What is the intended purpose of a bike like this?
Isn't it a bit heavy for dirt?
Better options for the road?

heavy? 197 kg
Yeah, '' a bit heavy for dirt?''

Tom, was the multistrada 1200 similar to the yamaha FZ09 (MT-09), minus the wind screen?
Just curious why do you blur your dash when you went over? Is it because its a test drive, or can they mail you tickets through video?
Yeah would love to see more sport bike reviews mate.
It's cool to see you riding where I was just 2 days ago
What is that blur?I have noticed it in many of your videos.Do you put it there for some reason or is it something else?
It would be awesome if you could test ride the 899 panigale. Thanks for all the awesome video's Tom!
Genuinely concerned for his safety riding like this.
hey, mate.. there's something wrong with your camera.. every now and then - when you whack it - it makes the instrument panel blurry... ahem... :)
HDridr2000 is

I'm planning to do a moto tour in the usa too. Where did you rent the hyperstrada? How much did you spent? Thank you very much.

Why do you blurr out you speedometer
Cause he's speeding. Just so you can't prove he was.
O thanks
MrSwiftNuts Tom speeding? nahhh....
Nice trousers and shoes lets hope you don't have a spill.
Of course the mirrors are good, they look almost as big as the mirrors on my car. And how would you compare it to your bmw s1000rr as in practicality and comfort?
Ofcourse it's a lot more comfortable, it's a touring bike. It's also more practical if you get bags on the bag, but it depends on the biker you are.
My 2010 1200S Sport is still doing just fine. Jan 2018
The Multistrada would be more fun and probably quicker than most sportbikes on the road.
i want you to review the ducati diavel my dream bike, you are the best! I wish I could ride with you guys with my little r125
If you can, try and get your buddy to look at the triumph rocket III, it still looks like a cruiser, but is also ridiculously fast for a cruiser. also the 2,300 cc three cylinder engine is pretty ridiculous too.

Review the MT/FZ-09?
I really love mine!! Great vid Tom :)

test ride a gs1200 BMW tom, be great to see a review of it!!!!
I rode the pikes peak model with an exhaust with no baffle. My god what an animal, handling was perfect and it just doesn't ease off, think I hit 130 (kph obviously......) overtaking a car and it was still pulling hard.
holy shit you went to Fraser! I work at one of the Fraser stores.
If you could get your hands on a Yamaha FZ09 id love to see that
Hes done one. Its called an mt09 in anywhere but the US - search his vids.
Kurt Schultz Oh your right thanks man. I wish bikes all had the same names
Hay tom :) you shold ride the Ducati monster ! Btw i'm a great fan
Forgot to blur the speedo on the Kew Boulevard where the speed limit is 50 and you're doing more than 20 km/h over the limit haha.
Review the susuki gsx1300r
TOM ARE YOU IN MELBOURNE?
Please make a review of the ktm rc8
MAn... watching you play with that beauty has got me absolutely bonkers... im freakkin jealous, superlative monster of an engine and bike... sounds terrific too.
Pleeaase testride the BMW K1300R ! :D
Why the blur?
Hey man im a big fan of ur videos I was eondering if I could get one of your stickers??

Haha I am not a role model
Clearly.
RidingWithTom chuck some gear on so we can see some knee sliding action on the bmw
What if they where Rhok jeans?
muzman777 Let him fall off and shear off his knees and arms.. up to him. I agree personally with you but you got to remember some people would rather take the chance..
Wireless keys??? ;)
recognise that Ducati dealer. Used to go in there all the time.
Rode both...the diavel is just such an out of balance bike, not a fan of it at all. Love the Multistrada such a nice use-able machine.
I wish I could get a bike like that daaam
not a bad looking bike mate.
Put some open road under it. I know you like the bike. Whatever complaints you have will disappear.
Yeeeeeeey
nice nice move on to the next one
Try the bmw r1200gs
sexy bike!
"just the 1200" lol
editexel --> Yeah, engine performance is the same as the 'S'... The S mainly gives you the upgraded electronic suspension.
So tall! It's like a face full of tank!
Luring it out when he is speeding
Omg just found out about the price of one of these... Wow :(
Straight to sport mode lol
forget about the dirt and offroad. The Ducati is not meant for that
132nd. 😉
Stop blurring the screen. If you do that we know that you're going over the speed limit.
Yeah but the cops have no evidence when he does that, a guy from london was speeding and the cops used his footage against him in court. Everyone knows he is speeding but the cops cant use it because there is no way of being certain as its blurred

ScratchN Sniff Australian police aren't that smart.
@@desselyyes better to be the daughter prostitute than son a cop.

GS > Multistrada
First again :'D
