Embossing Folder Techniques- Letterpress and Direct-To-Paper

- Today, I shared two fun techniques using Embossing Folders! Letterpress is an easy way to add color to the recessed areas of your card stock while the raised parts stay the original color of your card stock. And this direct to paper technique allows you to easily add color to just the raised areas of your embossed image.

Just had my first mammogram yesterday and it made me chuckle when you said it reminded you of embossing . The enormous crack you get when your embossing folder leaves the back of machine always reminds me of the noise I heard when I broke my hip . I always winch when I hear it !
I really like that you have ink & papers & envelopes of the same color! I really enjoy your videos. It's almost like I'm hanging out with you in your craft room... you talk like we're all there & you're having a conversation, not only instruction. I learn alot from you & get alot of inspiration.

I love using my embossing folders….I have even cut them in a inch or a inch and a half wide and popping up every other one up……it makes for a quick card❤️

I have a lot of your stamps dies inks, etc...Really love the kit, but on a major budget, I still want to add more master layouts, so use what stamps I have, so I can get 2 more Master layouts. What color was used when you did the letterpress? And the name of folder. Please thank you. I love your cards. You teach me some much.
She used Kraft ink & white card stock for the letterpress card. The embossing folder is the Tapestry one (there might be an additional word in the name of the EF, but it definitely includes “Tapestry”). So beautiful!!’

When you force such a thick stack through, how do you keep your folder from tearing through the cardstock? Mine tears it everytime.

Beautiful cards, but I'm wondering why ephemera always comes with white edges. I've been making cards for years and I've never liked the white edges after you die cut either. I always end up fussy cutting. I must be one of the only ones cuz I never hear anyone else talking about it. Love that watercolor paper going to surely get that.
