i think it's because they're both fully interested in it from a fashion perspective and not a personal taste perspective. bc of that, they're able to critique things in a way that seems fairer than some other hosts. plus the fact that one is more relaxed while one does have a bit of a more refined taste. it's not just two people saying "ew i don't like this".

If I were to be on this season, my runway this episode would be a huge piece of cardboard sticking out of my side painted like a building, and me wearing a cute 50s housewife outfit and when I get to the end of the runway i lay down and make a screaming face to look like that dream where you are falling off a building and then you wake up from a flinch.
I honestly cant stand when they do these horror-esque runways. They never deliver on the ugly and the horror. If your concept was creepy dolls, instead of being one, you couldve built a garment that was covered in baby dolls' heads and body parts and still manage to have your face in the middle as the focus. Its more interesting. It has texture, its a clear concept, and it delivers on the horror that the runway was asking for.
