I didn’t have time to go out and buy heel pads so what i did is i found a pair of gel like insoles with a higher heel, cut them right after the heel ended and then took that thick piece and put it up by the back of the shoe where ur shoe meets ur achilles’ tendon and that instantly felt like .5 of a size smaller
I have the same problem my feet are quite wide, makes it hard to find boots that I’m comfortable with. Don’t even touch anything Nike cuz they’re boots are too narrow for my feet, maybe that’s just mecurials but I haven’t had good experiences with them
Sound like me. My wide feet ruin some brands for me. Like Nike. But what I do is I’ll buy what feels the most comfortable and that sometimes means that I’ll have some extra volume in the toe area. But what I’ll do is buy some super thin 1$ insole cushion at target and cut out the toe area and place it under the toe part on the boots insole. Not sure that made sense. But my mid foot and heel will already fit perfect and with that extra added thin material my toes feel a bit more snug.
I sold a pair of Adidas x17+ boots on Poshmark this year because I got them in a size 11 and there was too much room at the toe. They actually fit quite tightly (in a good way) everywhere else.

I have some kangaroo leather Ryal La Storia that are a half size smaller and fit snug on both feet and the leather has stretch and molded to each foot properly. My left is a 8US and my right is like a 8.25US so I bought a 7.5US and it was a bit snug at first but now fit perfectly with no issues. I don't wear any synthetics due to this.

These days, I usually go for a good fit in the left, & use a shoe stretcher in the right boot before use.
