My tip to not get blisters on the backside of the foot is as followed: Stick a tape on the inside of the back heel (the part that goes upward) and take it off. Do this a few times so the glue gets to stick. That way the socks move less and that means less blisters.
Shock absorption boots are definitely going to be a lifesaver if you play on both AG and FG. I have lower back pain and it becomes worse during extended play. More shock absorption means its easier on the joints and you honestly might be able to go on for longer.
I put a little thing of coffee in my boots. Like a little Keurig case full of coffee. Works like a charm for me and gives the boots a nice coffee smell
