I have a pretty good trick for smelly boots. I have these air fresheners from car scents that not really worked in my car (what an irony) so I put one in each of my footballboots when I‘m done playing and they smell so good that you can now love smelling your boots. My tip to not get blisters on the backside of the foot is as followed: Stick a tape on the inside of the back heel (the part that goes upward) and take it off. Do this a few times so the glue gets to stick. That way the socks move less and that means less blisters.

I’m looking into the specially made insoles but I wear mercurials and the sole plate has that weird shape to it that stops the insole slipping around in it - would that affect the specially made insoles as well?

Please suggest low budget hard ground boots
I'm looking for some advice please. I'm about to buy a pair of AG boots and there seems to be less reviews around for current AG soleplates. Before I drop a lot of money on boots can you confirm thoughts on the current AG soleplates on the market? I'm interested in the Predator 20.1 (annoyed there isn't a low AG version), the Future 5.1 (the out and out AG, not the FG/AG), and the Phantom Venom and Mercurial Vapor Elite AG-Pro.
I tore my Achilles last year in a pair of Phantom Vision Academy MGs and don't want to out them on again. I'd like to make sure I'm getting the best boots for the surface I play on. Any input would be greatly appreciated. 🙂

Absolutely loved the grip socks, now im to depended on them so a football match with match-socks will be awful. Is there any game socks with grips out there?

I had the Nike Magista X Finale 2 for about 7 years and I found the perfect way to knuckle the ball and have the best touch I had ever with a football boot! So much confidence.
Now I purchased the Nike Mercurial vapor 15 Pro and after 1 time used in a game, I don't have the same touch.

Besides my diadora brasils (fluro/black) classic...i also.have mercurial vapor pro 12 (black/orange)...i had to punch hole.in the.upper with a dart. This allows the vacuum to not happen inside the boot and the upper to mold better. Gr8 boot but needs perforations for flexibility and comfort. 40$ on eBay and they are lit now. But the leather on the Brasils can handle stamping by average/clumsy players.
If you stuff then with dryer sheets it absorbs water and helps the smell
