incredible progress guys 👏🏽👏🏾👏🏻👏🏼👏🏿
Thanks RUclips! 🥰
When I look at the intro and see where the caravan park used to be, I'm in utter awe at where it is now. What an inspiration you both are!
We are so grateful we decided to film this journey, especially when we feel like we aren't progressing, it's amazing to look back at what the land used to look like and just how much we've done
Favourite thumbnail yet we love a chicken that likes a cuddle 🥰- you’re smashing this build guys 👏
Literally my dream to get a photo cuddling Rosie 🥰🥰🥰 and now we have it
One of my favorite episodes. I can picture you and John living there in no time at all. So happy it's moving along now. Here's hoping the weather stays sunny for a while. Love from Italy
Looking at how much you had to clear to get this far and what you have achieved and working at the same time is amazing. So kind of your parents to come and lend a hand and seeing the chicken loving you guys and wanting a cuddle is so cute. Onwards and upwards, you guys are doing a great job. Till the next one.
Your resilience and creativity in turning dreams into reality is so heartwarming! Keep building and inspiring! 🛠❤️
😊
You should have a symbol with 1 nail and 3 nails on your nail gun. If you swap the lever over to 3 nails you will be able to constantly fire nails and without any delay when you press the nozzle down.
I figured it out after the first wall, what a difference it made! it's a weapon now with the bump setting
@@CampOutWest Yeah took me a little while to work it out, it probably tells you in the instructions but who needs those 😂 It is a great gun now I figured that out and even better no need for expensive gas for it!
Thanks to your parents , it is awesome that they came and helped, which was a joy to have for sure. You are so close to having your home drive in, So very exciting. Thank you for sharing your journey again. It's exciting.😊
Thanks Rhonda! It was nice having their help and we could tell they enjoyed being involved. Maggie loved having them here too, they are her favourite people! ❤
@@CampOutWest I agree with you 100%. Granddog, grandparents are the best!😁 Thank you for sharing this amazing journey!
Totally random, but the light at 3:39 is how the light looks right before a tornado sets down where I live (in the US). Y'all are so smart to shore up the build. It's looking so good!
They don't have much call for tornadoes in Wales.
You are working together to make a home. Beautiful
I was amazed to see sunshine, it’s usually raining and muddy and nasty when I watch your videos. I didn’t think you people ever got sunshine.
hahah we forgot what sunshine was to be honest with you 🤣
I live in North Wales and got so excited to see the sun couple of days ago especially as it was not forecasted. I help my parents who live in Berkshire it's a different world there, like the Mediterranean. 😂
You are really moving along now! Not long until move in time! 😊
What incredible progress you two…..really taking shape now! Cannot wait to see the roof go on and it be fully water and wind proofed! Massive step forward….amazing what some dry weather does eh!? Thanks as always for giving me 20 minutes away from the real world here in Essex! Diolch! Marcus
You two have made some massive inroads in your project! More Power to you!👍👍👍
Thanks Mark, appreciate your kind comment 😃
Well done C.O.W It's really coming along now. Really looking forward to the roof :)
Thanks, our trusses are now on the building 😀
Hi Emily and John 👋👋👋👋 wow how exciting it's all coming together love from Sydney Australia 🌹🇦🇺
🇦🇺👍
@@col2560 👋👋👋Hi neighbour 😁
It’s amazing how much progress you made. Well done guys., it must’ve certainly helped having a bit of sunshine and dry weather for a change
Thanks Ron, the sunshine made all the different 🎉
Always a joy to watch your videos and the progress that you make!! I'm so happy things are moving on!! Can't wait for the moment you will start choosing stains colours or paint and decorate!! 😊❤
That will be the fun part for sure
Looking forward to the roof.
You may not be builders now but very soon you will be able to say we are builders we built our home.
Crack on!!
Roof trusses are half up right now, quite a bit more fiddly than we thought but very satisfying to see.
I think your use of clamps as an extra set of hands is very smart. Trying to hold stuff in place while fastening it is physically stressful and leads to a poorer quality job - it may take an extra minute to put the clamps on, but I reckon it's worth it.
Totally agree, the clamps are life savers!
It's amazing how much you guys have achieved! Honestly can't wait for it to be finished ❤
I’m so happy you finally got some dry weather! Really enjoying watching you building your dream!
Thanks Holly
Home is taking shape! Love watching your progress, it's a real inspiration. Looking forward to watching the rest of your journey!
I always love it when a new video from you guys drops. All of this hard work will be worth it! You're doing so well! Can't wait to come and camp out west when you're ready to receive guests.
Thanks 😃
I'm so glad the build is going well. The channel is doing well too. You deserve all the good things.
Thanks Rosie, PS our red hen is called Rosie 😀 named after Emilie's great grandmother
Hi Guys, glad to see you back on the channel, looking good great progression, cant wait for the next instalation, hope the weather stays good for you, and play safe. regards Steve
Firstly, loving your hard work,my reason for commenting was the mention that your gorgeous dog was chained because she was in season. We didn’t realise that an unspayed dog is vulnerable to an illness called pyrometra which almost lost us our beloved Labrador as we had vague intentions of her having pups,so never had her spayed. At only 7 years old she almost died, luckily our vet was on the ball and saved her. Just in case (like us) you weren’t aware of this condition.
Hi, sorry to hear about your lovely lab, we are aware of the condition and how quick it can progress, the reason we haven't had her spayed so far is down to her getting awful phantom pregnancies after her season where she goes on hunger strike and is then hormone sick for weeks and looses so much weight we never felt it safe for her to have surgery when she's s so skinny. We are going to do it this year as it has to be done, we don't want puppies so hoping a spay will be good for her health long terrm
@@CampOutWest It will help enormously 😍Loving your journey . Blessings from Rhydargaeau ,Carms PS our oldest rescue Hen lived to be a week away from 10 years .We miss her so much xxxx
I had my little girl spayed last month. All my bitches have been spayed. Best wishes from Susan in East Yorkshire.
@CampOutWest Look up a recipe for satin balls for dogs they will help her increase body weight to get to a weight where your vet is happy to operate mid season. One of ours did the same, right down to digging and producing milk, she dropped so much condition. These did the trick nicely. I can send you more tips if you'd like. 28 years rehabilitor of wild and domestic animals, so I have gained a bit of knowledge along the way 😊So impressed with how everything is coming along! I love watching your vlogs. ❤
@@CampOutWest Hi Guys, I was wondering the same thing as the commentor above had asked about Maggie not being spayed. I'm glad it's on the cards as after working with animal shelters over the years and seeing so many unwanted dogs and cats, as well as the health issues surrounding leaving both male and female dogs "intact", it's the smart thing to do.
I'm loving the progress you are making and things are starting to really look like home now.
Love from Eddie the dog, Pedro & Paddington the cats, and me. Carol from Australia
🐶😻😸❣
Fair play to you. Grafting in the dark. Nail gun spitting out more bullets than the A Teams machine guns. Keep up the good work guys. Things will seem easier in the better weather. I’m sure you will be in the bigger home soon. Best of luck
So glad you have some half decent weather to work in. You are both doing such an amazing job
Thanks, weather changes our mood so much for the better
I own a holiday cottage 15 mins out of Exeter. It is totally private and dog heaven, set in some woods. If you would like to stay for free, just ask and I can send more information. I don’t want any publicity or anything in return. It would be nice to know you were lighting the fire and enjoying a huge bath! You have certainly earned a break, it would be my pleasure to provide you with one
We appreciate the offer Nikki, it sounds lovely, we would never take a free stay from a small business owner but if we are looking for accommodation down your neck of the woods photographing weddings we will reach out to see about booking. 😀
So glad to see the weather is behaving and allowing you to motor on. I hope it stays fairly fine and looking forward to seeing how you get on with the roof.you are so inspirational and I look forward to every episode. ❤
Thanks Jayne, we are having showers at night but vacuuming out the water each morning and drying it out, half the roof trusses are up so nearly able to close it in for good
Great teamwork.
Best of luck.🙂
All the best guys.
It must be nice having 100s of thousands of people wishing you well and spuring you on.
Your hard work is commendable.
Good luck and thanks for the entertainment.
dal chi o gwmpas Someday
It's funny, its hard to comprehend how many people watch, we have bumped into a few people recently and it's been lovely to meet so many likeminded people and the support is a good boost when the weather is getting to us and progress slow. See you around 😃
Hey guys mick from Australia. Love your videos. I've been a carpenter for 35 years and I really admire your efforts your doing a great job and you should be very proud of yourselves. Keep up the great work
Thanks Mick, appreciate it, remembering to measure everything about 10 times as we don't trust ourselves but its going alright so far.
Great progress on the living space guys. Be proud of what you've achieved in such a small time frame. Amazing what a bit of nice weather can do! Keep up the good work 👏
Thanks Ryan, half the roof trusses are up so we are feeling good
Bless you John and Emily you have worked so hard and put up with so much, you deserve all the rewards ❤
HOW EXCITING!!!! It's all coming together! Really happy for you both and very well done, you've worked so hard x
Thankyou
Wow! Amazing giant amount of work done on the cabinhouse. Get that roof on so your structure doesn't become a rain filled aquarium.
I love how you start a new video when you both come together ❤. So cute.
Oh thanks 😊 some people complain and say we're cheesy but we don't care, we like it
So happy for you that at last you’ve enjoyed a break in the weather, and that has resulted in some really positive progress with the build. Well done both, Paul 👍👍
Love seeing how you guy's are getting on. And as for the Chicken cuddle at the end! I want my Chicken's even more now. 😍
The chickens are so cute Kevin, whenever we get back in the car then run full speed to greet us. We'd like to add a few more to the flock.
Amazing ! You are building your own houseeeee!!!!!
We are! Thanks for the support
Moving ahead quickly now. Big job done well. Sorry i missed your video and playing catch up now. Been off on a weeks cruise holiday.
I love watching your journey, you guys are doing an amazing job!
Thanks Morgan 😃
Keep going guys. You’ll look back at the struggle in the future and laugh at it 😁
this has almost become our daily mantra 🤣
Beginning to look more like a home 👍
It is indeed 😀
Well done you two
MAJOR steps !!! Routers are nice finishing tools as well !Love the music choice as well ! Very upbeat music ! THANKS for sharing again 🙏 🙂
Thanks Zach! We always find picking music the hardest thing, I swear it takes the most amount of time when we are editing haha
Can you fling a tarp over the top to keep it dry until you get roof on? Won’t be long now until you are in!! Well done. You are a lovely couple who work so well together
We have had one over the last week but the wind has been ripping it to pieces haha! Thanks so much ❤
Well, i follow with high interest your videos - so good made! I hope, that it doesn't hinder you to complete the roof, when the wall is mounted. Have luck and fun!
hey guys hello from up north here in south yorkshire iv been following your adventures from the start cant wait to see the end results great work.
Thanks for the support Neil 😃
Looking great so far , woof woof Maggie
Maggie says "bark! bark!"
Brilliant progress John and Emily, how amazing you even got your waterproof membrane up, go mum and dad for their extra set of hands helping with this awkward job. You guys are awesome!
Thanks Louise, we went for the big 2.7 meter membrane as we figured less joints means less chance of the rain being driven in on the seams. Definitely made it harder, we've bought the roofing membrane in a 1 meter roll as i'm too scared of flying off the roof with the 2.7meter stuff 🤣
Making progress! Way to go!
Thanks Judy
The chicken is easily the best part
🥰
Your birdsmouths will now need to be spaced 2x the thickness of the OSB. Looks great though.
we re-cut the birds mouth after this to fit the new thickness of the osb and then used that for our template to do the rest 🎉
Amazing work well done all..look forward to next stage .. jealous yes lol
Thanks Martin
Coming along nicely!
Cor blimey...... last time I watched, you'se had just started the foundations for the concrete pad.....
Well done to have come so far....🙏🇳🇿✅🦘👍
Looking good!❤
Wow. Great work.
Brilliant 😊
Fantastic progress you've made whilst the rain kept away, it's really beginning to take shape, soon you'll be working inside, a welcome change from wet mud, gorgious hen by the way❤
We are so excited to see what spring brings ❤
Great progress!
Keep going guys!!!
Looking great guys
