The man was down in GVegas :O Some pretty fun roads up there but so many of our roads here in SC are just not maintained well and the type of earth in some parts of the state makes anything built on it sort of inherently shitty. The good roads are definitely pretty great though. Hope you enjoyed your time here!

Looking at the engine compartment... this is a lease it and hand it back to them.... so the usual type of use for a BMW.... never really own it just lease it... This or Lucid... I feel I want the Lucid but also would not mind the wagon version of this... which one will be more reliable... I am thinking the Lucid... LOL
this will probably be more reliable than the lucid air. the s68 has been out for around 3 years now and there havent been any major concerns, plus the fact that around 580 of the 730 total hp is from the v8, so the engine is far from stressed. bmw has also been making electric motors for over 10 years now so as a whole this should be relatively reliable.
the M5 has always been my favorite car...regardless of the generation. That trend is probably stopping with this one. The looks and obscene weight is just ridiculous. IDC how fast it is in a straight line

The boxy square design works great on the g87 M2. The M5, however, is a completely different story. The more I look at it, the more confuse my eyes get. At least, it still has the v8 and sure handle well for a boat.
She’s quite a honker. Really interested in this car at 8-10/10ths and how they can manage the weight. For 95% of people this car is more than fine, probably the comp and the CS will be the rowdy ones.
personally i would definitely still take the g80 m3 with a manual for the most driver oriented experience since the m5 now seems like way more of a GT car
Drove the 25 540i recently, has roughly the same steering wheel I believe without the red accent and m paddle shifters. Great car but couldnt get over the shape and how light the steering was. Felt like I was one little slip away from eating shit in comfort mode
i would say, i love the Touring more, since the taillights of the sedan don't do it for me, while on the touring it suits it very well, at least the Touring is coming to north america!!

What is the purpose of the electric motor if it only gives a 20-25 mile range? Seems like a dumb addition, if someone could enlighten me I would appreciate it.
At this point, I think every automotive youtuber should really stop trying to do "backroad" tests because its just going to end up getting you in trouble. The best thing is to do the on/off ramp corners because at least you can kind of take it a bit fast and not be in an area where people are and also you are not going triple the speed limit like some youtubers recently have : /

It’s too heavy. If a car 3400 3600 pound with 300-400 hp drive around next to you, he could turn and switch lanes multiple times faster then you can even signal right or left. If you ever drove a truck with 400 -500 hp you would understand
I think this M5 looks way better than the F90 and the fact that you can get it as a Touring is making it even better. I am happy that there is not a lot of “drama” coming from this V8… I personally don’t care about the weight at all as it’s not a track car but rather a daily driver

A gentleman in a suite that has pure muscles underneath. However, if there will be a M5 CS, then you can call it a “track car”. But they’ll have to do some weight savings(if that’s even possible).

The bowers on the new bmws are fucked they are cut down half the wattage, from like 1200w to 610w, if you play music with lots of instruments or bass the speaker becomes shit
The looks are fine, right up until you put it next to an F90 and you see just how much better designed that car was. Also most of these let’s face it aren’t getting tracked and when you take that out of the equation the weight matters a whole lot less. It’ll be stupidly fast and capable for most of what’s asked of it. Still a shame but that’s the state of cars nowadays, at least BMW kept the V8 (looking at you AMG👀)
