  • 💻👁️ Did you know? Too much screen time can really dry out your eyes! 👁️💻
🌿 It’s important to take breaks and give your eyes some rest from staring at screens. Whether it’s your phone, tablet, or computer, prolonged use can lead to eye strain and discomfort.
😔 Dry eyes can cause irritation, redness, and even blurry vision. So, remember to blink often, adjust your screen brightness, and follow the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds.
I also recommended that my patients supplement with Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil which can help alleviate dry eyes by reducing inflammation and promoting tear production? 👀 Studies show there can be an improvement in all three layers of tears with Omega-3 supplementation. 💙 as reported in @revoptom Volume 161 May 15, 2024 issue.
One more eye doctor tip: read from books instead of the computer whenever you can. It’s easier on your eyes since the print is stable instead of moving like on a computer screen when the electronic pixels constantly refresh the screen.
