One of the best videos on this topic. What blew it the fact that no mention of part numbers. It is very confusing (online) to figure out if 2nd and 3rd take the same part number. Would have been really helpful to have made a comment about that part numbers.
Part number I found for the sensor (A) is 28600-RCL-003. Waiting on mine to arrive. Missing the part number for the crush washer though
Honda civic 2010 both sensors are the same honda dealer part # 28600RPC004
Thank you, very informative. My A sensor went out and the car would not shift into higher gears. Great help in replacing that one. I found that one can merely take the drives side wheel off and release the two clips from the panel in the wheel well and the B sensor is right there without having to remove all the clips from the panel under the car. Did the bottom sensor in minutes in this manner. Thanks again...car runs like a charm.
You save me time thanks
Amazing video with great camerawork. Had my first real car problems with my 2010 civic and by no means am I a car expert. However I am vary sensitive on how I spend my money and when I talked to a few mechanics they quoted me around 500$ with no guarantee it would fix it. One even told me I needed to get a whole new transmission. Crazy!!! But with me going to the dealership and buying the part for 130$, an afternoon of my time and a pizza break I had a back to normal functioning civic. No more check engine light and no more blinking D and shifting felt smooth.
What’s was your car symptoms ? I want to know please. What was your car doing before you fixed?
Yo my d light is flashing 😭😭
Very Professionally done, exactly what I needed. Replacing Sensor A on 2010 Honda Civic. Great Channel!!
@Ulises Armando Yea, been watching on InstaFlixxer for years myself :D
2015 civic shaped different but this video gave me an overall image to start. Only video that is close so appreciate you
Where did you find it ? I have a 2015 aswell
Thank you so much for this video. I just replaced the 2nd clutch sensor, and it worked! This video just saved me some cash, thank you!
what was the problem? the car stoped moving forward nor backward while motor still on?
@@scorpionmgh1110 No. My car wouldn't shift out of 2nd gear. The D light on the dash panel was blinking as well, which was unusual because it is usually a solid light.
@@scorpionmgh1110 I'm having a problem with my 2015 honda civic hybrid engine runs but won't go forward or reverse

Fixed blinking D light, Great video thanks a lot !
I just changed both mines but it keeps blinking
You think this might help in my situation? I have a 2008 Civic and every time I hit 80’s my car just has trouble shifting down like it stays there accelerated mind you i dont have my foot on either pedals and i have no check engine light and i do oil change on both engine and transmission or if you have any idea of what it can be I’d be happy to hear your input; thank you!!!
Any luck fixing that issue ?
Have you done computer testing ? Just check for the error codes. Mostly it will be with sensor issues.
You guys have the videos of all the ones I watch, Thank you for saving me money as inflation is hurting my family bad.
You need to put the part numbers for the switches and crush washer please
All I did was change the ATF fluid and filter and now it’s just not shifting right and rpm’s jumping up and down while driving, I did everything right but not sure what it could be
Good video 👌👍
Im confused. Which is the 3rd clutch transmission fluid sensor?
Thank you!
Awesome video, helped me figure out my transmission problems
I need a new transmission oil pressure switch , can I drive to Michigan and back (144 miles one way) and get it replaced early in the new week? Just popped up on Friday morning
Where do you actually buy the sensors? There are two. I need to buy the one for the bottom. Switch B I believe is called
A link to both pressure switches?
I had system purge flow code p145c also system low purge flow new .. green d still flashing ..HELP ME PLEASE THANK YOU 🙏🙏
This is a good video. But there is something else that will cause the Green light to flash. I put a New Crank Shaft Sensor in and for Four Day’s and about 500 miles It run perfect and then I lost all Power the car would not go 25 miles per hour and green light was Flashing. I pulled the code. It said Crank Shaft Sensor I pulled the Crank Shaft Sensor out and one of the Three prongs was Bent. I fixed it and it is now Perfect. So. Be sure you don’t bend any prongs on anything you Replace. I’ve. Never in all my years had any thing like that Happen. Just a Word of Advice
Are senors A and B same? Brown both places top n bottom?
are both sensors the exact same just in different areas or are they different part numbers?
It is almost impossible to get the air filter box back in the car…trying again today!
How did you torque spec it if you didn’t use the torque wrench in there ?
You guys have the videos of all the ones I watch, Thank you for saving me money as inflation is hogh and bad .Chris U R an angel saved my money . One of the mechanics did not even diagonosed and said your trany is gone and said $6000 will cost U . I wish U were in NY I would have come to u and get my Switch b chsnged . Thank U friends
Is that 3rd clutch and 2nd clutch are same switch?
Do you know where the reverse input switch is located I’m having a p0812 code and I can’t find the switch also my reverse lights don’t work and my d light is blinking now
Can you please tell me the location or pictures of Transmission fuild pressure sensor P0846 Nissan juke 2011/12 Please.?
I had my2006 transmission replaced the car still shifts and drive , but now all pressure solenoid A,B, & C codes and shift solenoids A,B,C & D codes r popping up ,what could cause that issue
My tranny is also acting up, did you get it rebuilt-bought a overhauled one or get one from a salvage yard? I'm trying to decide on the best route for mine....
How do you test pressure sensors?
Got my D light flashing on my 2004 Civic LX this is fit in with these year civics ?
I had honda civic 2010 i put scan its shows the code p0746 solenoid a and b sensor after that i change the cable and error gone from the system. But issue still remain. Issue is that every first time i start my car and put in reverse or drive it get hard jerk. After i switched off and restart my car again after 10 sec it wont happen. Kindly help me out.
Same issue bro 😓
same problem with me
Did you fix it?
Same issue
same issue brother at my civic 2009. I'm wondering if these sensors solve our issue.
Thanks for the video. I have a 2009 Honda civic DX-G with the check engine light on as well as the D light flashes on and off. Could this mean it's the sensors you worked on in this video? What are the part number for both the sensors?
Hi Emerson same issue with my honda civic 2007 Automatic. D light flashes sometimes and abs lights also comes. Did you find any solution?
Same issue here. I got P0847 code
Mine did the same thing...transmission sensor A. I replaced both...this video gives good information on how to do it...very easy really. The A sensor can be accessed by taking the drivers side wheel off, releasing the two clips on the panel and the sensor is right there....easily accessed without taking the bottom panels off under the car. Good luck.
@@kyleernst328 Hello Kyle...When you say sensor A, do you mean the upper one? If the answer is yes, then the air filter box and other things do not have to be removed. Is that right?
@@ssabotic No sir, it was the lower one I got out merely by taking the wheel off and part of the splash guard. The upper one, I had to removed the air filter box and such...
Why is the part number not in the description? Is it two different sensors or the same one. this part number 28600-RPC-004
"Yep! OEM part number is 28600-RPC-004 for both" This statement can find in the fifth comment down in Kevin Suksi
does the manual/standard transmission have these switches? I can't shift my gears when the engine is on. Please help.
I second this question.
@@diesur7126 Issue partially solved after i bled my clutch slave again several times to be sure. Been driving the car for several months now. Now I'm able to shift, but sometimes still hard to get into gear. I may need to adjust the clutch pedal. Another option is to replace the clutch slave with a honda oem part instead of an exedy that i have on. If that doesn't fix my hard shifting, it may be that my trans is bad.
I don't see any answers to all the questions asked ..how do i find them ?
Thanks for the info
I just been replace 1 of the sensor the one under and still blinking the drive in pannel i think i need to repalce also the top i didnt realize that theres one on the top
Sir I have 2010 Honda Civic my problem when you fresh start and shift to drive they have a jerk what cause of that thank you
Bro. You gave us everything except the link for the two pressure sensors
These switches can cause lower Mpg according to what I'm reading online
I got a check engine light for switch B and i haven't replaced it yet

What are the part numbers? Those would be extremely helpful.

Hey, i have no codes but i do have a a problem with 1st - 2nd jumping/revving high and slamming into gear, really bad when its cold. Could this still be the problem without codes?
I am wondering if you solved this problem as this is the same I am experiencing...
Any updates on what it was?
Last winter the slamming stopped, but it still revs a little high, i guess ill see what its like this year.

I just replaced a new battery then check transmission pops up and D light blinking. what is the possible cause? TIA
helllo. honda civic 08 1.8 gear shifter not coming back to "P" sometimes..
Could it be one of the sensors?
I need help. My 2013 Honda Civic got two lights. Check emissions system and check transmission. My car starts up and everything but when I put it on drive it doesn’t accelerate or it jumps starts and skips gears and almost red lines. What can it be? Transmission or pressure switches or the filters?
first thing is you need to pull the *codes* before anything else.
You got fix .? Already.? And wha was the problem.?
What was the problem brother?
Change the inline transmission filter along with the automatic fluid. Mine was acting up now shifts perfectly
Same here and it was the transmission sensors
Hello, my civic 2007 stuck on gear N, and need to press high RPM, to get jump to gear 2, but after 100KMH the gear come back to normal, the problem is on low gear, can u assist, thanks
Do you find solution for it?? Actully, I bought civic 2006 it may not change gear it shoes high rpm.So, i have to change transmission may be
How much should this repair cost. I dont think I could take that whole airbox apart.
Hello the plug got broken is there a video how to change those cables
Hello i have an 09 1.8. I’ve been having intermittent issues with one of these sensors. The code I’m getting is “p0848” is it possible it’s just a bad ground or the wiring harness itself? A few times it’s put itself in limp mode with the flashing Drive light and check engine but then minutes later it’s fine.
Intermittent does sound more like wiring - it might be worth replacing the sensor just to rule it out since it's reasonably easy and cheap.
Hi there, i have same problem, P0848, by now its only intermitent… is there any chance of damaging the gearbox?? Thanks and great work guys!
@@LemurMonitors How cheap are the sensors pls? And where to buy them also.
Cheers
Did anybody resolve the issue?

Hi BlueDriver -
Thanks for this helpful procedure...
May I inquire this concern on my friend's FD 07 AT?
Replace with a surplus tranny, scanned without fault code already, but when you put the shifter on "N" position, driveshafts are still moving forward as if it is on the "D" position...
Thanks in advanced...

Would sensor B lead to less mpg?
I'm getting a P0848 switch B

Like 19-21 mpg when i should be getting like 25-26 mpg
Where's the 10mm crush washer part number they said they were going to Kent for us?

do you happen to know exactly where the transmission fluid pressure switch is on a 2018 nissan altima P0841 code. I'm installing it myself amd can't find. i already replaced the park/neutral sensor. thanks in advance for your help
Thank you.
Do manual transmissions also have one of these sensors? I'm trying to diagnose a problem with my 06 manual civic. During cold weather, my car is very hard to shift into gear. Transmission fluid has been changed regularly; clutch fluid is clean. I'm wondering if it could be one of these sensors or a failing slave/master cylinder.
The crush washer is required? What happen if I haven’t one?
It's a good idea - people often reuse crush washers but you are increasing the chances of having to take it out again if it leaks. If you don't have the old one to reuse then you should probably get one - they're cheap insurance, and don't have to be a Honda OEM part.

Would this cause a misreading in the speedometer gauge ? Say I’m going 30 and it reads 60 or higher
That sounds more like an electrical/wiring or sensor issue

I don't have Civic, but I do own Acura. Do these pressure switches really need to be replaced as "preventive maintenance" or it is safe to drive until the car throws a code?
It would be recommend to replace them as it would limit what issues could happen. That being said it is not required.
My code is po843 tfps /switch a circuit high is this same thing?
you ever figure this out? got the same code about to do the top sensor. everywhere i called said that bottom one is not even a thing…

Hi I have the same code which one you do have change top or bottom
Did it work for you
I got the same code p0847

Do you recommend changing both of them?
I wouldn't say it's necessary unless you have codes for both. It's an easy enough repair to tackle as needed, and it's not like they're in the same place so it wouldn't be a "two for one" type repair.
Also, it looks like changing the other one (3rd clutch) is way easier

did the pressure switch change fix your issue? thanks

@@mustakimmitul3573 I did the same I changed the switch as well and everything is fine now thanks for the reply
Did you have problems shifting? All you needed was a fluid change, so was it giving better symptoms after change?
@Cameron Kline hi, call a honda dealer and ask the problem and part no of the item, how much is part, cost of fixing. Also you can search transmission diagram to locate the sensor. However, I dont know the problem. It could be big or small or might be different part failed. Its better to take it to transmission mechanic. I hope and wish that your can sort out the problem soon.
