I can see something like that coming in handy when standing in a long line for an attraction at a theme park, waiting at the DMV, or something similar where you don't have access to one of your retro handhelds or you don't want to emulate on your phone / doom scroll.

Emulation itself is not illegal. You can sell an emulator. You cannot sell the ROMs Nintendo can do nothing about emulators because they themselves do not violate copyright.

If the transfer is stuck at 0, restart both the Watch and the iPhone at the same time, and that should fix it
