- Perhaps one of the most conceptually brilliant albums of its generation, and of all time, Spirtualized's "Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space" is a tale of heartbreak and drug addiction, paralleling that of frontman Jason Pierce's own struggles with them. The 70 minute album is heralded as the band's magnum opus and continues to be praised 22 years later. Today, we're going to take a look at it.

One of the best and relevant album packaging of its time, and a big hint to what the entire album was really influenced by
I agree with other comments that cop shoot cop needs to be the length it is.
Also, although I wouldn't listen to the individual on its own, it works in the context of the album, as home of the brave blends in to it and broken heart after it flows well
Two comments….,,
Cop shoot cop needs to be the length it is; it would be diminished horribly if shortened
Oh my freaking baby Jesus I never realised that this album is it’s own (ok my) generation’s On the Beach until right now. An equally unassailably great album drawing greatness out of utter bleakness……
Hola el álbum suena de otro planeta, me encanta hahaha, gracias por tu recomendación
I gotta say I don't think Spiritualized is shoegaze, it has a tiny bit of the guitar tone yes, but it's a whole different kettle of fish. It's hard to describe but it's more worldly than shoegaze. It's more tied to rock and roll history and clichés than shoegaze.
Love all songs except one that being no god only religion i cant stand the high pitched bell rigning that is looped the entire time also its not as interesting as the other one just sounds like a big old free jazz jam i still like certain free jazz music not that one though
