    Thank you very much for your patient description of how to do this. I thought I remember ed what you taught, did it wrong, hat I spent hours on started unraveling! I about had a conniption. Struggled to put back on the 80 peg loom and now watched you again to finish it right. I will never miss your lesson again!!

    I know this comment is 5 years late, but I followed this to a T when I first started loom knitting and it helped me so much. I haven't loom knit in a while so I had to refer back to this specific video (despite there being so many out there, I wanted this video) so I could cast off my hat cause I had forgotten. With that said, thank you for making this video. Very simple, and easy to follow.

    Great tutorial! If you suck at closing hats I would reccomend this but if your unsure of trying, Watch a few times and/or find a video that suits you better! Some ways work better than others for different people so don’t get upset if you make a mistake or such! (I’ve ruined more projects than I’ve completed AND it took me 2+ years to finish my hat)

    My daughter showed me how to put the bottom half of a pen on your yarn. You use that to wrap around the post instead of your fingers works so cool. You slide it on the end of the yarn before you start with the project, narrow end pointing towards the pegs. Hope that made sence😊. You can see what I mean on instgram under gardentaffy😊 I put a picture....

    What is the purpose of adding a separate long piece of yarn as opposed to using a piece of yarn you were already working with? Seems adding the extra yarn creates more knots and bulk. Just seen it done both ways.... Nice video!

    Loom Knitters (my loom knitting process is below **), I need help!!! I have made two beautiful scarves on my round plastic knitting looms. They turned out beautifully I however now, need some additional instruction. On a new scarf I am in the process of making (I am only 2 rows from the end!), I realized that I accidentally (maybe 10 rows ago) added 2 extra rows to one of my colored stripes. That throws off my whole pattern. Someone PLEASE, please tell me there is a way to remove my project from the loom. Pull out all of the rows until I reach and have removed down past my two extra rows and then am able to reattach the project to the loom pegs and continue on knitting as before.
    **My process was to "E Wrap" till I have three wraps on each peg, then I lift the bottom wrap up and over the top, leaving two wraps on each peg. Once there, I again E Wrap on all pegs, again pulling the bottom loop up and over the tops. I do this again and again, until I have a hat or scarf. That is the pattern I used.
    I am hoping beyond hope there is a way to be able to pull all my wraps off until I am at the extra knitted rows. Pull them off, then place my piece back on the loom and continue on. Am I dreaming or can this be done? A how-to video, or even series of pics would help me if there is. But, a description would be great as well. Anything that would help me. Thank you.

    • @amyderksen473
      @amyderksen473 4 года назад

      Did you grab both ends of the long piece before you pulled? You've got to pull both together or else it'll just slip out of all your stitches :)

  • @plucas9324
    @plucas9324 2 года назад +1

    This seems unnecessarily complicated. I just take a long piece of yarn, put it through the eye of a big needle, and pass the needle through each loop. This takes about a quarter of the time then doing it the way you just did it.
