I accidentally bought a halogen lightbulb on clearance. It is cold in the winter where I live so I'm ok with the heat.

I like Halogen household A19 bulbs. Unfortunately they don't last very long at all and that sucks.

The vertical filament in a clear retrofit bulb plays nice on glass with vertical grooves, and the light output can be increased in fixtures that are limited by heat. Low voltage bulbs last forever long after the plastic housing has clouded up. LED lifespan is a myth.

*LED’s (5000-6500K) color temp. ALL THE WAY!
I replaced all incandescent, halogen, cfl to LED lights cool white, still some cfl lights are very close to LED, if they have (5000K) temperature which I find them cool .

Cool white isn’t always the way to go. You have to find the best lighting for the room. Some rooms look good with cool white, others with warm white, and some with bright white.

+Nostalgia For Infinity It's not the same. They have still much more blue light, they have that spike. It's so unnatural light, although more orangish.... simply no. Nicest are classic bulbs, and halogens are like 80% of them... simply whiter and brighter, but it's still in tolerable limit. I also made supply for years, when they got banned.

halogen = n any of the chemical elements fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, and astatine. They are all monovalent and readily form negative ions. [C19: from Swedish, from Gk hals salt + -GEN]

It is usually the resistors and diodes that cause total failure in LED globes, a friend I know who uses LED globes told me a globe had failing filament arrays and other arrays were fine in the globe
