I'm studying for my P.E. exam and stumbled across this awesome video, thanks Signify. I just want to reiterate that the Lumen Method is only useful for indoor calculations. Light calculations for an Outdoor environment is a whole different ball game.
In the end you just didnt show in practical how will be considering loss factor and depreciation ... I ended up with doubt aboit to know how many leds or lamps I will need for such area
Hi there, thanks for getting in touch. Each lamp in the example has 2600 lumen output but there are two lamps in each fitting so the lumen output is multiplied by 2. Thanks!
Cap. For one, lumen method is about lighting. Secondly no code in the item shop is gonna do anything. Third, even if the code was real, it would have to be on epic games site and not the item shop. Smh
very good. . . apart from using 'feet' as a measurement. No one in science and engineering uses 'feet' as a unit of measurement. The entire world uses SI units. EVERYONE. So these results are a waste of time

How can I calculate the Light Loss in the room ?
Wow, in the late 80's early 90's I did this by hand using CU, RCR, Area, etc.. Now it's all done on my iphone with an app.
Thanks...are you lighting designer in philips ? Can you please talk about road lighting.
I am very close to understanding, elder. Let's do this. How do I set the equation for my 16ft by 17ft sitting room.

Err what and why multiple it by two?

What do you mean by making sure we have "uniform ceiling layout" before using the lumen method?
All lights are even across the room. It would be pointless using his method if all the lights were on one side.
Thanks a lot
what is the Lamp Lumen in the formula ?
Lumen is the unit of luminous intensity
Who was this video made for, the consumer, or the lighting indurstry and makers, scientist etc. ?
Kirby its made for interior architects
Are you saying " foot candles " ?
It's some retarded american unit.
Footcandela is just like lux, except it's one lumen per sq ft, instead of per rmeter.
good video
thank u
this calculation not correct because illumination depend on height
Unreal 5!!!
