Ok, So I saw many comments asking for what happens if there is a power failure, and I don't see a reply by you. Replying to a comment which is praising the content is good. But peps who gets Questions are also need to be answered Just to point it out again, this point is actually important. I know you make good content. But answering genuine Questions of your subscriber is also important.
I think its most likely cos there is no failsafe for this. A typical lock, even the small ones from Yale, August etc have batteries. As this is a DIY system, its highly unlikely that they would have managed to make a power efficient one especially considering this is not just storing data but also has to send information everytime there is a user coming in.
Putting esp outside quite dangerous because if someone open the box and guess which wire belong to the solenoid they can trigger it with another power supply and get in your studio.
IFTTT has limited it's applets to three. Could you please suggest any alternative of IFTTT for home automation for integrating Google assistant with webhooks
@@maverickgamer07 it's not about the charge is less or more, they are already paid by the giants companies like Phillips, google and many more for the service they provide, so it's basically everytime you buy a Phillips Hue, the cost for ifttt is included in that. It's just like, you are having lunch, and getting salaad with it. Salaad is not free, it's included in the price you pay. Now one day, even if you have paid for the salaad, they come and ask the price for salaad too. Give it a thought, you will get to know.
@@triggergottriggered8518 I disagree on that. I have built my own home automation stuff using respberry pi and custom designed PCB. I am not paying to Phillips huge amount of money. I have created so many applets on IFTTT without even purchasing products from these companies. Also maintaining IFTTT like service costs a lot of money, maintaining servers etc. Nothing comes for free. So I think 1.99 is like supporting them. I and most of the users are happy to pay. Period.

Good question. in this case electro magnetic door lock is recommended as it will be unlocked in case of power failure, in case of system failure you can just cut power. else in the given example, you'll stuck in his awesome studio because no one wants to get out :D

Hello Sachin, great video here. Great work, I am so impressed with this video because it solved my problem as a client asked for something like this. I have a suggestion for upgrading this device. Can we make it work for Gate Barrier open and close? In so much that when several people live in an Estate area with one common gate, that each person scans the RFID READER with their respective RFID TAGS as they drive in, and the gate barrier lifts up to allow the car to enter. Once the car enters, the barrier closes back. And which can accommodate more users up 200 to 1000. Can we work on this? Thanks Sachin.
