We will see how easily it will clean slightly dirty paint and clean paint. We will wait 24 hrs then do a water test to see the hydrophobics and to see how well the Ceramic 3in1 wax is holding up after 8 months.

    LOL great intro! Thanks for the video Brian, can't wait to get my hands on the new Ceramic Speed Shine! Good to see you getting great durability out of the Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax as well, I was over 9 months last time I got my hands on the test car a while ago and it was still surviving. So pairing up the Ceramic Speed Shine to just add that nice boost to complement the durability of Ceramic 3-in-1, that's a perfect system in theory as you said.
    Griot's is crushing it, it may seem to many like they're late to the party but I can still go through their entire lineup and pick out a ton of killer products that I wouldn't mind reaching for every weekend. Pair that with their killer top notch Boss abrasives and polishers and towels, it's hard not to recommend Griot's for everyone of all experience levels in detailing.

      Thanks brother! You will love the Ceramic Speed Shine just use it sparingly unlike I did. 3in1 had been great for me on the car and this is a great way to maintain it. Griot’s has always been reliable and enjoyable to use. As you said they have it all around from liquids to machines they just flat out work.

    Oh my gosh, I am so glad I found your channel, I needed a laugh and boy did you deliver! (I can't believe how clean your Craftsman red case was too) I was just looking at detailing products yesterday as I have a new car and am committed to keeping it clean (now that I live where salt is put down only a couple times per year). So glad I didn't buy stuff before finding your channel. There were so many choices I decided I needed to come home and do some research.. My Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax is still going strong since Summer. Absolutely love the stuff...user experience, smell, shine, protection. Also have the Ceramic Speed Shine...once again, another great product. Going to try the Turtle Wax Flex Wax on the wife’s car when it gets warmer, but I’ve already done a panel on her car. It just didn’t have the same user experience as the 3-in-1. Graphene may be the new “must have”, by the 3-in-1 lasts extremely long and I don’t mind if I have to apply twice in a year.
    As always...great video!

    Car was fully washed on Monday using Griot’s Ceramic Wash and Coat. After drying I used Best of Show Detailer. Car was Driven only 20 miles in dry conditions Mon-Thursday. Friday morning, in Full shade, 90°F, black Ford Mustang, lightly dusted. I used the Griot’s Duster to move the light layer of dust. Then I sprayed the Ceramic Speed Shine onto a microfiber applicator pad and wipes a small part of a panel and dried with a clean microfiber towel flipped and buffed. It removed a few light water spots as well. My car looks nice afterwards.

    Ok, let's get down to brass tacks, is it less than, equal to, or greater than, Ethos Defy; since that seems to be your current product of choice? Also, the directions didn't say anything about 2 sprays on each panel, so you're safe and it just says "mist ceramic speed shine on the surface, then gently spread with a PFM detailing towel...quickly turn the towel over to buff", so brother Brian, don't beat yourself up for using a little extra, I mean it is a detailer spray after all which means we are using it to clean and for that reason alone, you would want to use more spray than less to pick up the dirt instead of dragging a towel that is almost dry over the surface. And you are not kidding, if you top off 3 in 1 every month with this ceramic speed shine as a monthly maintenance topper of course it will last literally forever because it is replacing the ceramic that is wearing off from the 3 n 1, That is the truth about ceramic sprays, they need toppers and every detailer/enthusiast or DIY loves to top off their cars to keep all the surface characteristics looking and feeling great. Great job as always and thanks for the fun show, in the beginning, I know just how you feel when you were talking to your chemicals because my grandaughter laughs at me all the time when I talk to my "pretty waxes" as she calls them. LOL.

      Right from the start I was thinking about how it compares to Defy.

    • @FABAutomotiveDetailing
      @FABAutomotiveDetailing  3 года назад +3

      I would say they are neck and neck against eachother. It would be hard to choose. I like to keep products within the families so whether one is better then the other doesn’t matter to me. If I use Griots 3in1 I will top it with Ceramic Speed Shine. I top my Ethos Coated vehicles with Ethos Defy or Ethos Ceramic Refresh. Glad you liked the intro I though it would be a little different.

    • @nicksdragon6929
      @nicksdragon6929 3 года назад +1

      @@catguy64 I hear you, Brian, then Eric at PapaSmurf and they're telling us Ethos is literally the 2nd coming, LOL. So, of course I had to buy about $250 worth of it. So far two out of the four are very good, one is average and the other mediocre. Now comes Griots first two of six new products and they barely got any kudos from the guys, at least if you compare to how they went nuts over Ethos. So, I'm betting that by their actions, they think Ethos is far better than Griots.

    This seems easier to use than Turtle Wax hybrid ceramic. I have a black truck and tend to use too much product. Which makes streaks with Turtle Wax. I realize that’s user error on my part. I’m just saying this product seems way more forgiving. I’m going to try it. Thanks for the video!

    Both *FANTASTIC* products and likely the best in respective categories. I wonder about usage preferences of these two items. Is there any reason to use the speed shine (ie. purchase an additional product) vs. just using some Ceramic 3 in 1 as a drying aid every other month or however long one figures is convenient?

    • @paulb8188
      @paulb8188 Год назад +1

      My humble uneducated opinion. This is more of a maintenance product, where the Griot's 3 in 1 is a good as a base product. According to Ivan at Griot's, use the ceramic speed shine on a monthly basis. it all depends on where you live, how often you wash your car, etc

    • @ABG2412
      @ABG2412 Год назад

      @@paulb8188 Oh - I agree. It totally is. My point was that the 3 in 1 can be used as a (heavy duty) maint. product when used as a rinsing or drying aid. With that in mind, I would not feel a need to purchase another product that would seem mostly rednundant. I totally agree with what you said though - and what you said the Griot's rep. indicated (cause it is not as if I know any more than they do anyway 🙂).

    Anyone ever use this as a spray on and then spray off with a strong stream of water after a wash? I’ve done that with lots of other ceramic waxes and defaulters. The CSS to me is a bit difficult to remove off of glass and leaves a greasy residue, but in my use it lasts longer than the 3/1. It’s bonkers how good it is.

    Brian, gotta question.
    I’ve been a big fan of Adam’s Detail Spray. I’m not a one-brand guy either as I have all different manufacturers products just like yourself.
    One thing I like is I feel like Adam’s Detail Spray might be my #1 smelling product regardless of type of product or brand. Of course it works great too so my question is how would you compare their smells to the original Speed Shine?
    Another plus is Adam’s Detail Spray also offers a little extra protection. Yes it’s not super durable and I do stress the word “little” above, but just for that short time, that is a plus.
    Both gallons are priced good so I might try the Speed Shine next time.
    How would you compare the two??

    • @FABAutomotiveDetailing
      @FABAutomotiveDetailing  3 года назад +1

      Yes Adam’s detail spray smells awesome and works great to. If you want it for just a detail spray then it’s fine. Using it as a clay lube doesn’t make sense though because it leaves behind a wax you would have to remove before polishing.
      Griots original speed shine smells amazing also and works great. It has no protection so it makes it a perfect clay lube.
      You can’t go wrong with either is just depends on the use you want to get out of them.

    • @FABAutomotiveDetailing
      @FABAutomotiveDetailing  3 года назад +2

      Yes there is! Griots has 3 detailers. Speed Shine, Best of Show Detailer and Ceramic Speed Shine. Speed Shine is a quick Detailer with no protection and is a clay lube. Best Of Show Detailer is a Detailer with a wax and can be used in Direct sunlight. Best of Show It is not a clay lube. Ceramic Speed Shine is a Detailer with SIO2 protection and is also a clay lube.

    Looks like a great product! I just applied Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating to my car, and I'm maintaining it with TW Ceramic Wash and using their Ceramic Wet Wax as a drying aid. So far, so good - we'll see how long it holds up. But I'm looking for an Sio2 product to use as basically a "touch up" between washes (not for the whole car, just spots that need it), and I'm not impressed with what I'm hearing about the TW 3-1 Ceramic Detailer for that role. I kind of like to keep "systems" in place, but would there be any problem using the Griot's Ceramic Speed Shine in this role with the other products I'm using? Thanks!

    Do you think either the ceramic speed shine or ceramic 3-in-1 is appropriate as a drying aid? I've never used anything but a synthetic chamois right on the water, but I've learned that might be adding lots of small scratches. I feel like the 3-in-1 is too much wax for weekly use.
