As South Africans we appreciate what this team has done for us ... but we have paid a very steep price for it.
The last three 1 point games have taken an average 10yrs off every South Africans life expectancy due to the stress.
If we do this every 4 years, we'll soon have to lower the retirement age to 30.

So England may not be one of the top four teams at the moment, but overall they still have the proudest history of any of the Northern Hemisphere teams.

They shouldve taken the easy 3 points right there. Also the barret kick that missed. pollard has a 100% succes rate and 33points this world cup.. NZ had their chances and didnt capitilize. As a Springbok fan living in NZ, todays game was for me, especially sad and and glorious all at the same time. A true example of "agony and ecstasy". However, I think you have summed it up very well when you talk about what rugby means and how the two teams gave all they had and put their bodies on the line for their respective countries. Bravo both. AB's and Bokke, you are inspiring. I also agree with what you say about the cards - understandable, but so very unfortunate and I do think the rules need a bit tweaking. Thanks for your insights and comments, both from a rugby technical perspective as well as a fan involved emotionally. Excellent channel!

How fantastic to enjoy your channel the last 6 or more weeks and hearing sober, incisive, informed commentary that cuts above all the noise of partisanship that's so often the want of media scribes and others on the mass platforms. You're in this for the love of the game, spreading knowledge of the sport and how to be a REAL fan of it, regardless of one's nationality. Just now I watched the recriminatory comments of a Sky Sports reporter pouring rubbish on refereeing decisions and referencing the disputed Kriel tackle in the Scotland game against the backdrop of Kriel now being the victim of a "similar" tackle by Cane in this Final. Then Martin Johnson of all people states on BBC Sport that we should be asking how the AB captain stayed off the field when the SA captain was allowed back on. Talk about skew-eyed! @@SuperEdge67I really dont understand that. Presumably a ‘protocol’ issue. When we come back multiple phases for minor things I really dont understand it.

It was horrific. The refereeing was utterly fucking disgraceful.

@SuperEdge67 I said he was fine, not perfect. Maybe the TMO or bunker should have corrected him were in his ear for pretty much the rest of the game. I am a kiwi fan trying hard not to go on a rant, and I honestly thought his game was generally fine. As Tim said, that didn't cost us the game, my concern was more a long-term thing, these non-field referees are going to kill the game unless they are roped in.

Hey Tim, one of the things I’ll remember about this world cup is your introduction to the rugby fraternity. Your videos have been so insightful and non biased from start to finish, and have been my first to watch after each game. Well done for the hard work and enjoy the rest! 🇿🇦🙌

100% agree with your analysis. Love the channel and happy to see how it’s grown this year, particularly during the World Cup. You seem to be better more views than much bigger channels.

Hey Tim - I was going to hang around after the game and see if I can at least say hi. But haven’t slept since Thursday and it was raining Etc, so I decided to hit the road.
Just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful content throughout the tournament. Going to feel weird not to watch Eggchasers every day. Looking forward to what you’ve got planned for the channel.

Officials were good - probably the best this World Cup. Pressure was on them and they performed - best thing was that they allowed the game to flow. Wayne Barnes is currently the best Ref in the world in my humble opinion.
