His ex Lydia, said he was into coke and valium. The shows at the Forum for Alive ll, he needed an injection from a doctor just to wake him up for sound check. He was a perennial fuck up, just like Ace. No matter what success they had, Ace and Peter always undermined it with stupidity.
@Warchief01 In these videos, Ace agreed that Peter should be fired. Is Bill Aucoin lying? Now, why in the world would Ace want to "get rid of Peter" unless there was good reason to? Peter Criss was a selfish child that wanted everything his way. He was also under a strong delusion that he had so much talent that KISS couldn't go on without him. Just look at what Peter Criss has accomplished since then. Look at the video's of the reunion tour.
i think Paul Stanley loved Peter Criss like a brother. Check the old pics. Paul is side by side with Peter alot, almost every picture. Although he was younger than Peter, I think he was acting as an older brother to Peter...check it, it's just my opinion, I haven't yet read Paul's book and I only have the first three albums, pre Kissing Time.

With all four of them, it wasn't just musical ability, its the stage presence, attitude. etc.... There are alot of gifted musicians that wont be as succesfull because they dont have the personality to go with the ability, GET IT?

I'm not saying that Gene Simmons isn't a guy who knows when to quit. He has a lot to do with the problems between himself, Ace and Peter. Paul Stanley, I've never really heard any of the former members say real negative things about Paul.
The most evil people I have ever known, were TEA-TOTALERS! So this idea that a drug habit makes someone a shitty person automatically, is ignorant and ancient (old lady) thinking. Emotional problems? Yes. It sure sounds like Peter DID have those. But then Bitches will have that effect on a guy who has a heart.

Bob Ezrin made Beth what it was. He asked Peter if he could take it home and work on it, and with his background in classical music, made an outstanding song. Lydia Criss said initially it was a mean song, making fun of a former band member who's whipped by his girlfriend. Which is why Peter never ever came close to any song that good again.
